"This is an outstanding company. I ordered a filter and an adapter ring from their website. A tracking number soon arrived by e-mail and the order was shipped the same day.
UPS lost the package. I called Calumet to ask them to put in a claim. The customer service phone was busy and I left a voice mail message. Within half an hour UPS called to confirm, and a few minutes after that the Calumet service rep called to follow up. Then -- without my asking -- he said he would send a replacement while UPS investigated. Within an hour I had a new tracking number and the replacement package was shipped the same day.

"Ordered a Canon 20D plus BG-E2, 17-85 IS USM lens, 1Gig card, and Canon 550EX zoom lens. The people I spoke with over the phone were very pleasant and professional to deal with. This is the first time I ordered through Calumet, and was a bit hesitant but after talking to them on the phone, all my fears disappeard. There website is also topnotch, and includes a real-time inventory checker. Although I did not place my order through the web, in the future I would not hesitate to do so. "
"Web site said stock was expected June 15. Called and they said they had it in a store and would ship 2-day on Monday. Called on Wednesday, customer rep guy was helpful and said he had to investigate, took my number said he'd call back (sure, I've heard that before). He did call back in 10 minutes, said he didn't know why, but the item wasn't in NY office and did not ship -- I wouldn't be getting item today. But he had found one in the LA store and was overnighting it to me, and he had reversed the charges for shipping. When I said that wasn't necessary (just needed by the weekend), the rep said, "sir, we didn't get you the item when we said we would, it is our pleasure to refund these charges." This was 1700 EDT, item was on my front porch at 1030 the next morning. Highest marks."
"I was interested in buying a Nikon D70. After looking around for a place that had it in stock and were not scam artists I settled on Calumet. It was nothing but a straight forward transaction. I ordered the Camera through their webpage on 5/12 and it was at my house on 5/18. They have a great realtime stocking system that can't be beat. Furthermore, they breakdown shipping charges to include cost to ship and insurance. As an added benefit they don't gouge you on the cost of shipping like some places.

"I've made a couple of purchases from Calumet. This one was for the Canon 10D digital SLR and a bunch of accessories. The camera just was announced, and many people were on very deep lists to get one from a lot of the online stores. Many, many, still are!!!!!
On the other hand, Calumet came through as expected. I had mine a week before a majority of the other stores were starting their shipping. And, of course, I didn't need to pay any more than those others did. Prices at Calumet seem to be right in line with the better discounters.
Tracking was easy (UPS for me). Everything was packed well, and arrived in perfect condition.
Oh, for those who insist on finding a negative, they did mis-spell my first name on the invoice!!! But, after a quick phone call, even that was corrected....
Of course I will (and already have) buy from them again.
