"As the previous reviewer stated, they seem to have a ton of items listed on their website that they DO NOT HAVE. I ordered a part from them, and the next day received an e-mail from them stating that their online inventory system is not real-time and that they would be refunding my PayPal payment. They did, and I had no problem with that - mistakes happen. Two days later I decide to go back on their site and not only is the part still listed, but the price has gone up $7! Calhoun Technologies did not acknowledge my order placement through a confirmation email or any other means. Had I not kept a hard copy of the transaction, I would not have had any order information. When I emailed them on 2/5/2011 to check the order status, one of the staff replied that they did not have the part, so would not be able to fulfill the order. He also noted that as my credit card was not charged, no refund was also necessary. True.
I am concerned about how my order was handled, and I need reassurance that my personal information is not compromised as a result of this transaction, which I have now come to regret. This experience, unfortunately, makes my continuing search for the ordered item online more difficult.
I see a big disconnect between what they advertise and what they hold in their inventory. A worrying note is that Calhoun Technologies still continues to advertise as if they hold quantity of 25 numbers of the item they were unable to fulfill.
I can understand the disconnect - possibly due to how they manage their supply chains -- but can not comprehend why they failed to acknowledge my order in the first place or why they failed to inform me of their inability to fulfill my order without my follow up.
In summary, I believe Calhoun technologies can perform a lot better and hope they will learn from my unfortunate experience dealing with them.
