"Everyone is so nice! I like that they are teaching academics, but I honestly just want my kids to grow up to be good people. I feel like the teachers are teaching necessary social and emotional skills. And the teachers are great examples of that each day when they interact with parents and kids. We love Ms Joanie and all the teachers so much!"

Awful experience with Director

"Had an awful experience at the ChildTime Harbourside location. I have a flex pass for my 2 year old son. Called 4 business days in advance but the location we usually use (mallard landing) was full. It was suggested to call Harbourside which I did. Biggest mistake I made was not writing down the name of the person I spoke to on the phone. The lady checked the books and very enthusiastically said their would be space for my son for the requested day and that she would mark him down. I specifically asked if I needed to do any paperwork or if it would transfer from the other location. She reassuringly said she would call the other location and get his information transferred. She then proceeded to give me the front door code (personalized code based on phone number). When I arrived on the scheduled day the first thing I noticed was that the door code I was given did not work. An employee came to the door after I rang the bell and let me in. I gave her my name and she asked if I had called ahead which of course I said I had. She went and spoke to the director (Joanie) who apparently told her that my child’s name was not on the schedule. I explained the situation that I had called in advance and gave the details of that conversation. Hesitantly the employee said that we were going to be accommodated but mentioned that the room was at max capacity. I said that’s good because I am a paying customer and I had followed the protocol. Also I have rescheduled my dentist appointment two times I was hoping not to have to reschedule again and pay cancellation fees).
I asked if they needed any information from me before I left and She asked if he had any allergies and I said no he does not. Please note that at no point in this 20 minute period did the director (Joanie) come out of her office to talk to me or to mention that she needed any more information from me. I then drove 20 minutes to my dentist appointment, and as I was about to walk in, I got a desperate call from the director Joanie herself stating that she does not have any paperwork on my child, that the room is full and that she cannot accommodate him today. She said I needed to come pick him up! I shared with her about my phone conversation the following week when her staff had reassured me he was going to be accounted for today, that she would have information transferred, that her staff spoke to her while I was there and it was decided that he could in fact stay and now....
Also shared my concern that I’m a paying customer and this shows terrible organization, communication and follow through of her location. She then told me I was an “irresponsible” parent for dropping him off without her having his paperwork, that I had “paid” at the other location and not hers (childtime markets the ability to use the flex pass at other locations if yours is unavailable) and round and around we went. She never apologized for the way our situation had been handled from the very beginning but only blamed me over and over again. It was unreal. I have 3 children and have never been treated so poorly by a childcare organization (or any organization) in all my life. I attempted to call the district manager 3 times after this happened and never received a call back.
So unfortunate how much money you pay for this flexpass to go through this trying to use it. It works out to be about $65 per day. As soon as my appointment was over I rushed there to pick him up because I didn’t feel like he was truly welcome to stay. He was there for less than three hours
I’ll just mention that I never had this type of experience at the Mallard Landing location. Everyone there has been very professional, organized and dependable.

Simply Amazing.

"I have nothing but positive things to say about Childtime - Harbourside. The staff creates a family environment and truly get to know your child as an individual. My son and daughter both attend and from the infant room to Pre-K everyone is amazing and my children love going to school. Leaving your kids in the hands of other people while you're at work is scary, but I have not one hesitation or concern when I leave my kids at Childtime every morning. "

"My six month old daughter has been at this Childtime for almost three months, and I love it! The teachers are so sweet and they genuinely love my daughter. The director is also very involved and responsive. I get updates throughout the day about my daughters meals and naps, and I even get a picture or video of her most days. I have had a great experience, and I tell everyone this daycare has made returning to work after maternity leave much easier."
