"I want to comment on some of the questions/answers from above. 1) Related to moving rooms, there was no real communication to us when she moved from infant2 to toddler about 1) shoes - that everyone wears them starting in that room 2) bottles - that no one uses those in that room. A handout about the differences from one room to the other would be helpful. Also, the criteria that determines when someone is ready to go from one room to another isn't so clear (probably because it's more based on # of kids in each room) but it would be nice to know what the typical milestones are to move from room to room. (my 5 rating on communication was just based on this above item)2) Outdoor facilities, I rated a 6 due to the parking lot always having puddles - not really a big deal 3) Does this daycare have preschool? When should a child go to pre-school? Louisa isn't driving yet so I should probably find that out since I'll have to drive her haha"

"Since the addition of Miss Angel and keeping Miss Gina as the Assistant Director, it's been great. They work well at communication with us as a family. Our oldest is pretty strong willed and it's been hard for him. They do everything that can to help him."

"Childtime at Plymouth Rd, Ann Arbor has been a wonderful place for our little one and several parents who have become friends and enrolled their kids and kids siblings over the 3 years we've been with this creche. The teachers are great and the curricula is good. The only downside is the lack of an entry-exit lane on the massively wide road which could create an accident like situation due also to a lack of U-turn option for over a mile in either direction. Hopefully corporate bigwigs can convince the mayor's office to approve a safer alternative entry/exit on Earhart Rd."

"Well over all, teachers are responsible. It's just there are a few teachers doing their job as if they just want to get it done. I hope they won't check their cellphones while in the classroom. Or at least say something when I pick up my child. There used to be great teachers that talk to me about a story of my son."

"Unfortunately, it seems that this location has gotten significantly worse over the last year. There is newvadministrative staff and the turnover for the teachers is insane. Each week it seems a different teacher is with the kids. The staffing ratio I have seen off on several occasions. Staff don’t seem like they want to be there and you get attitude and dirty looks when you bring up concerns or basic requests. It’s crazy expensive for what you are paying for, definitely not worth it. Would not recommend at all. Go somewhere where people are invested in your kids, this is definitely not it. Just look at the majority of recent reviews... it’s not good anymore. "

"[Please do NOT post this online.]In general, we have been very pleased with ChildTime, especially with the Director, Angel. Early on, there were many art activities in Toddler 1 that involved sitting our son in front of an art project for 5 seconds, taking a picture of him, and then removing him from the project so that it could be completed by an adult. My wife talked with Angel about this and pointed out that the NAEYC, your accrediting body, discourages this exact thing. Very shortly, we saw the content and quality of art activities change in the classroom. Now, it is much more common for the children to be given art supplies and time to just play with them, regardless of whether it produces a cute picture or a take-home object. We are much happier with this development and new direction."

"I love Childtime - Ann Arbor. All the teachers that I have interacted with are wonderful. They are responsive to questions and genuinely care for the kids. I like that Childtime Ann Arbor has a structured program where they focus on physical activity, reading time, arts and crafts and science as well. My child enjoys coming to Childtime and is very happy at this location in Ann Arbor."

"Staff members are kind and well-intentioned, but it's clear that ratios are always at the bare minimum and staff are stretched very thin to take care of the infants. Also, on a daily basis, the office staff are working in the infant room, rather than regular infant staff. This is very unusual. Typically there are consistent staff in an infant room without office employees doing office work AND working in an infant room. There seems to be a lot of staff turnover which makes me concerned with the work environment. The infant room has no separation for the crib/napping area that can be quieter/darker than the main part of the room. The environment sometimes seems chaotic.This daycare is only slightly cheaper than my other child's daycare and Childtime's quality is significantly lower and worse child:adult ratios. I imagine the staff aren't paid well, unfortunately. I worry that profit is going to an owner rather than being invested in paying for quality staff and a better care environment."
