"I've ordered from cduniverse.com many times over the course of the past few years. I've got nothing but great things to say about this place. Where to begin?

I've purchased numerous music CD's. They're always the cheapest...especially when compared to Amazon. Shipping is fast and packaging is good. I've never had a damaged product and nothing has ever taken longer than 5 days to receive.

My latest purchase came today. Actually, I purchased 3 DVD's yesterday, and then purchased a 4th today. All the DVD's were $2 to $8 cheaper than Amazon. Further, with the purchase I made this morning, it actually gave me the opportunity to include it with the order I made yesterday without increasing my shipping charges. You know that most other companies will not let you combine multiple orders over multiple days since they want to gouge you on shipping. I could't believe that CDUNIVERSE.COM gave me that option.

*NOTE - if you're buying a music CD, they have 30 second snippets of EVERY song on the CD that you can preview. GREAT FEATURE. Most other sites only let you preview half the songs.

Bottom Line: Do not hesitate to buy from this site. Great prices, fast shipping, good packaging, good purchasing/shipping updates via email. They're fantastic!!!

"I pre-ordered an import CD title that had already been released in any other store that was selling it at the time (I think Mid-october-ish).
There was an estimated arrival date of 10 to 15 business days.
So after waiting a month I figured it had been a fair period of time so I checked the status of the order, and when I did so the item that I had ordered was backordered without any e-mail notification what so ever and the new estimated arrival was months away.
Dont get me wrong, the website is great and all, but the customer is what drives it and when you do not communicate well then that is a very big negative.
I would try and purchase again at some point , however they have definately left me in a nuetral position as far as what I think about there company practices to date.
They would seem (by reading other reviews)to be better if you just wanted to purchase the latest in the popular category, etc., So I do recommend them if you are going to do so.

"I have made countless orders from this website and have been extremely satisfied with their products and service. All products are much cheaper than advertised on other websites or even in the stores. They arrive fairly quickly and there is no problem getting what I wanted. "I ordered an import CD Megaherz from this company. The ordere appeard to go through and I received an email stating that they had received the order, I checked the status and it stated it was being verified. After the weekend I called to try to determine why the order had not begun to be billed and shipped. They needed to verify my billing address, this after I had to call back twice because they needed to speak to their supervisor. OK, so thats done, apparently because I was a first time customer. Then two weeks go by and still no CD, according to the site it was shipped. I called and they stated I must wait 15 days before it is considered lost. The next day I receive an email it had been returned and my money was refunded. No offer to contact me regarding having the item reshipped. I will never order from CDUniverse again, nor will I recomend the site to anyone I know, and relate this problem with anyone I speak to about my experience with them."

"Excellent store! Highly recommended. Here is a side-by-side comparison to DVDSOON (terrible store). CDUniverse confirmed the purchase and their shipment arrived in 3 days. DVDSOON never confirmed the purchase and their shipment arrived in over 2 months! CD Universe cost $6 less for the same 2 DVDs. CD Universe had the best price I could find for my titles and the best customer service I have seen from a DVD store. Its sad that I had to return the DVDs since I had duplicates. CD Universe made it easy for me to return and even paid my return shipping even though they were not at fault. I love this company!"

"I ordered a DVD (Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival)which CD Universe said was in stock and ship in two days max. I paid for expedited shipping so that I would get the item sooner. I waited two weeks, and then got an email saying they were "working on getting all of the items on your order ready to ship." They did not give an estimated date of when they would shipping my item. When I contacted them via email they said they were sorry for the inconvenience but that the item was backordered with an additional wait of 3-10 days until it was going to ship out. Needless to say, I cancelled my order and bought it from a more reputable vendor online, who DID have it in stock and had it for a lower price and lower shipping costs. CD Universe misrepresents their inventory and just expects their customers to wait up to 45 days as their order sits on "backorder" status, with no updates on expected delivery dates. Fortunately, they did offer me a refund on my "priority shipping" but I decided to get a complete refund and cancel my order. I am waiting for a refund.

"I ordered a Xbox game (spiderman 2) from them on June 30th, and chose the 2 day air delivery. I figured at worst it would get here by july 6th, imstead it took them till July 8th to get my order to me! I am very upset that i paid for a 2nd day air delievery and it took a full buessness week to get my order. It was not the shippers fault either, it took them several days just to process the item, an item in which they claimed to have instock. "

"I have ordered DVD's from CD Universe for about a year now. Making 4 or 5 purchases in that time, I have discovered that this company cares about it's customers. The prices are very good. The shipping of 3-7 days is great. If the items are in-stock, they usually show up at my door in 2-3 days.

Will definitely use them in the future. I highly recommend them to everyone.

"Stumbled upon these guys while searching for a few hard-to-find PSX games...these guys turned out to be an absolute goldmine. Snagged a copy of Vagrant Story for $16.79, while it's hitting upwards of $30 on ebay. They also had a surprising number of other rarities, plus newer games in-stock.

Given the prices and stock, I will most certainly order from them in the future, probably even over guys like Gamestop. Shipping wasn't absolutely lightning fast, but given that I had selected regular ol' US mail, that's not really a mark against them.

Give these guys more business! They deserve it.
