"Horrible service. I placed order on Tuesday and paid for express shipping guaranteed for Thursday and on Thursday night I find out that it never left warehouse. I called and representative said costume will probably not arrive Friday either. I needed the costume for Saturday AM. False advertisement. Hope to get refund fast. Stay clear of this costume place if you need a costume in a timely fashion. "

"The costume I ordered looks nothing like the costume I received! I even thought they sent me the wrong one until I got the replacement and it was the same as the first! It looked nothing like the photo on the website! I called customer service for the second time and was told that I would have to pay the shipping to return it! I asked to speak to a manager and they argued with me about that, put me on hold, and told me there wasn't one available! They finally agreed to pay the shipping and said I would be refunded when they receive the return. I'm not holding my breath on that after reading some of these reviews! If I don't get my refund in a timely manner, I will contact the BBB! I should've been allowed to speak to a manager when I asked! Very bad customer service! I will NEVER deal with this company again!"

"This company absolutely SUCKS and they totally false advertise. I ordered a costume at the very beginning of September, their website had a guaranteed in stock date for this costume of 9/24/15, and a guaranteed ship date of 10/5/15. Funny, they sent me an email yesterday telling me "thanks for reserving your costume! your order will ship approx. 10/24/15." What the hell. I've been expecting a delivery from them, now they claim they have none in stock and won't until the end of October. I even forwarded them THEIR email that said "guaranteed to ship 10/5/15". Now I'm SOL in finding this costume for my daughter in time for Halloween, as they are sold out everywhere. So much for ordering early this year.
Edit: Anyone looking to buy their daughter a Mal from Descendants costume, do not buy from buycostumes.com. They just told me yesterday they have absolutely none of these costumes in stock, and will not until the end of October, but their website today says they have them in stock. Unreal.

"Save the trouble- order from Amazon always no matter the price difference or even the options. Ordered a costume for Halloween with shipping guaranteed by 10/29. It's 10/31 and I haven't received it. After hours on the phone with UPS and USPS, i finally figured out that the seller used a shipping system that transfers the package from UPS to the local post office, did it in a timeframe that would have never made the 10/29 guarantee, and in addition put the address in the label wrong, so now the package is in some facility that I can't even go pick it up from. "

"I have ordered previously with no difficulties. However, returning an order has proven to be ridiculous. I followed the instructions and sent back my entire order - nothing even opened. The tracking number shows it was received. I was in email communication for a while awaiting the final one to tell me my refund was processed. That email has not come and it has been 4 months. I am out the entire amount of my order. I will not use BuyCostumes again."

"Transylvanian Vampire Child Costume #70612. Halloween costume incomplete. Missing medallion. Phoned customer service agent and asked that they send missing medallion in time for Halloween. I was informed that I would have to order another complete costume, pay for it in advance including shipping costs, and then mail back incomplete costume back to them, shipping costs at my expense. Once they received the incomplete costume back, I would be refunded the cost of a costume. However, to resolve the issue in this manner, I would have to pay a total of $29.99 EXTRA in shipping for a costume that costs $37.99. The medallion was central to the 6 year old deciding to choose it. He was disappointed. The convenience of ordering online was lost in trying to replicate something that I had already paid for. The website's solution for an error they made would cost me money and I believe it was made, knowing that no sensible person would accept their solution. "

"BuyCostumes.com does not honor their Price Match Guarantee. I sent them several emails and none have been returned. I called the call center and receive the same response each time, that they will process a refund for me immediately but that is not the case. Very dishonest company that doesn't care about the paying customer."
