"DO NOT BUY from BUILD.CA .
A few days ago I made a purchase on Build.ca expecting the order to be shipped same day (guarantee) or at least within 24hrs since the items were in stock. My credit card got charged immediately for the items, so my order was approved. After a day of waiting, I did not get receive a shipping notification, so I chat lined with their Customer Service department and made an inquiry regarding the status of the shipment. The CS rep looked into the order and stated that she will have to contact the Shipping department, she came back to me later in the day with an email to inform me that the shipping would be an additional $138, even though on my invoice it stated $00. I emailed the CS rep to inform her that the order comes with free shipping. The CS rep responded with a statement that there was a pricing discrepancy on their website and that if I did not want the order that would be canceling the order without my consent/approval. Just another way of saying since you are unwilling to pay for shipping, we can say anything to cancel your order
This company Build.ca is nothing more than a bunch of scammers who falsely advertise products on their website and try to scam the purchaser out of additional monies ie. shipping charges, if that doesn't work - wrong prices on their website. Falsly claiming useless shipping guarantees. They will come back to a customer saying look at our terms and conditions, but BUILD.CA seems to have forgotten that there terms and conditions must meet provincial laws and that Provincial Consumer Protection laws supersede any of their terms and conditions. I would not recommend anyone to buy from BUILD.CA "
"Ordered a replacement Bath Fan during the pandemic. Fan was 40% percent cheaper than anywhere else. Ordered Monday at 5pm. Delivered at my door next day Tuesday at 10 am! Item came well packaged and worked beutifully."
"I had an order placed on Jan 5 , 2020 and they cancelled the order on Jan 6 because apparently they don't ship to an address different than the billing address. 20 days later and i still don't have the money refunded to my credit card. Why they charge me when they wouldn't ship it in the first place? Sent an email and got a promise i will get the money in few business days and a confirmation email. Until today i have no email and no money. Terrible company to deal with."
"I recently ordered a replacement cartridge for our American Standard kitchen faucet. Build.ca sent the wrong cartridge. When I informed them, customer service rep Nicole called me and told me that she would contact American Standard and ask them to send me the correct cartridge directly as it was still under warranty. I had forgotten about the long warranty and assumed it was just one year. Build.ca refunded my original purchase. Turns out if you Google the part number for my cartridge there are two very similar but different cartridges offered by various suppliers. I sent a photo of the old cartridge and that helped sort out the problem."
"I ordered a plumbing part on Wed afternoon in BC and it arrived before noon the next day. They also were the least expensive of any supplier I could find.
I'm always nervous ordering on line but not from Build.ca .

"Looking for the guts in my toilet tank and they are the only plumbing company that goes above and beyond to find the exact parts for this toilet. It is not the standard toilet so was difficult to find the parts and after all the work she did tracking down the part numbers I wasn’t able to buy from her. She told me where to go buy these parts in my area. Will definitely try this company when I need something to do with plumbing and heating. Don’t listen to the negative reviews as they must be **** themselves "
"I ordered some toilets on April 25th. Told me it was going to be delayed until May 8th. Got a call on May 7th saying its going to be delayed until June 8th. Got another call on June 7th saying it was going to be delayed indefinitely. Got nothing from this company but a headache. Save your time and buy somewhere else."

-got back order notice approx 2 weeks
-waited over 2 weeks and called to inquire
-was told several times it would be investigated promptly but MORE DAYS of delays occurred
-a few more DAYS passed to find out it never arrived and needed to reorder
- would take another 2 weeks or so
-after A MONTH of this and additional careless Follow Up in timeliness of responses, I requested a cancel and full refund
-that appears to be handled ok, but I have yet to verify my refund on credit card

"Ordered what was to be a high end Blanco sink. Paid a professional to install it and a couple weeks later water is leaking out of it that turned into an 8inch crack. Now I have to pay to have my quartz counter top removed, sink removed and new one installed and counter reinstalled ! Build.ca wouldn’t even provide a replacement sink. We got the run around and finally got a sink from Blanco Canada but have all this added expense and inconvenience. A sink shouldn’t Crack! Let alone 8inches! This sink is touted as being super strong, tough etc. I sure hope this replacement one doesn’t end up the same "
"I ordered a new shower faucet and I received the incorrect shower head from what was advertised. The combination of shower head to the shower faucet was no longer offered by the manufacturer so I was a little disappointed. Build.ca, however, had that shower head in stock as a separate part and as they realized their web site was not up to date (I am sure it is quite a task to keep their thousands of products up to date), they sent me the advertised shower head free of charge. I am a VERY satisfied customer!
P.S. Their free shipping is also very fast! Ordered Sunday, delivered by Tuesday. Amazing!"
"I purchased a kitchen sink at build.ca in August 2017. A delivery was very fast. The sink arrived just in three days (from Ontario to Vancouver).
When we open the box we realized that we didn't think about the depth of sink when we ordered it. It was a bit too deep for us. We called the company, got the return authorization number, and sent the sink back. We received money back fast and without any problem."
"I ordered a faucet online on a Saturday, and it was delivered to me on a Tuesday. The faucet reached me before I received the e-mail confirmation of my order. The faucet was well packaged, in new condition, and as expected. I had some reservations about ordering because of some poor reviews I had read-although most of them centred around paying shipping fees when returning an item. In my experience ordering online, the customer is usually responsible for return shipping, regardless of the reason for the return, even if the initial order was received with free shipping. The cheapest I could get this faucet locally was $491 taxes in, and I got it from build.ca for $351 taxes in. The faucet is attractive and modern, has regular and spray modes, and the stainless steel finish is great for not showing fingerprints. I'm very pleased with my faucet, and my experience with build.ca"
"ordered a sink on a wednesday evening-it was delivered friday morning. Great price - much cheaper than anything I found at local home improvement stores. I did receive an email confirmation with an order #. No tracking number however. I had to call their customer service due to a problem with my credit card billing address and they were helpful and resolved my problem quickly. Would order from here again without hesitation. "
"I was a little nervous after having read a couple of bad reviews. I did not get an email acknowledgment of my order, or tracking number as is usual with online shopping sites. After the 2nd day of waiting I had a note to call them. To my surprise, my Blanco faucet arrived at 8 AM that morning. It was in a new box with the original strapping around it, in good condition, and the right colour. I couldn't be more happy. I do wish they would send out some confirmations though so people don't have to wonder where their order is, and can arrange to be home on receipt."
"After a delay for a back order, because of an error on their web site, wrong colour faucet was sent. Error recognized and a refund issued to cover return shipping cost. Item was discounted to reflect delay and inconvenience. Although the error was inconvenient and delayed my project, customer service was friendly and prompt in replying to my emails. Outcome was a very good price on the faucet. Overall, I'm very satisfied with build.ca and I will use them again."
