"
The coverage of safety was excellent. I see why you have the time to complete. Too much repetitive on basic subjects. I feel you could cut down the on number of sections and time taken to complete. If this had come a little sooner maybe I could have been more specific.
Over all it was very informative and I believe I’ll be a safer boater.

"Was very good but sometimes repetitive. Overall very informative."
"My 14 year old and I each took this course. She finished faster, but it allowed us both to study and feel safe and ready for boat ownership this summer, and gave us common ground in discussing water safety and rules.
My only piece of constructive feedback is that I would have like to know about the time limit of The course before I got the one month left warning. I would have waited to purchase. Being a full time working mother of two, I had to really block time to study during the holidays."
"It has been 40 years since I've owned a watercraft and this course prepared me to go out on Lake Erie near Kelley's Island and boat safe. The course also gave me guidance on what is required and how to plan even short boating ventures. Thank you. Robert Sr"
"Combines lots of learning methods, animations help keep interest, the length of course material is daunting and a long process could discourage before completion."
"This course of instruction combined the perfect amount of visual aids and concise information to keep the student interested. Each section begins with learning objectives that are reinforced by abbreviated exams."
"I am an Educator and when I used the Boat Ed course, it was concise and grabbed your attention. The mix of text and video as well as audio helps the student understand and retain the information."
"Comprehensive content coverage with helpful videos. More engaging and reliable than a free boat education website. "
"This was a good overview of boating and preventing various situations that could ruin a day on the water or, worse yet, lives; and how to respond in the event of an accident. The focus is safety first - crucial to staying safe while having fun. The course also introduces the types of situations encountered in more complicated types of boating, which should certainly encourage seeking further appropriate knowledge for anyone venturing onto bigger waters. At 68, and having been on smaller freshwater lakes, rivers and streams my entire life, I learned quite a bit. The course is not intimidating, and worth taking."
"Great. I got through it within the first day! But I didn’t get my boat ed certificate. I had to call just for them to send me another 1. "
"It was pretty good but it would be a lot better if it had the option for it to be read to you"
"I really enjoyed taking the course. It was informative yet fun, and I learned a lot. My only complaint is how long it took to receive my license in the mail. It estimated two weeks, and it actually took about a month. Overall, informative course that can be done in three hours if you pay attention. "
"More difficult than I thought, but that is ok. Very comprehensive.
Still haven't got my card yet though."
"very intuitive class, easy to understand"
"As a boater novice, I was impressed with the broad scope of materials presented.
The arrangement of material appeared logical and the review and testing helped with my recall on the Final test. Video scenarios and video commentary appealed to my learning curve. As an option to traveling and staying all day at a Coast Guard Auxiliary or Department of Natural Resources class, this also appealed to me. I took this class of 6 Units over three days and felt prepared for the test. Also, I realize from my prior pilot training that this is just the beginning and applying the knowledge and acquiring actual boating skills is all part of the safe boating process. "
