"I placed a large order and was double shipped the entire order due to their mistake. I only placed one order and only received one confirmation number from them. I was charged for both orders and told by their customer service that not only would they not be giving me a refund for the items from the duplicate order that were personalized, but also that if wanted a refund for the remaining items on the order I would have to pay the shipping! For an order that I didn’t even place!!!! They are a scam!!!!"

"Have ordered from Birthday In A Box before and have not had any problems until now.
I ordered 11 piñatas that arrived on time, but delivery must have been made in the evening, and they all sat on the driveway by the fence overnight IN THE RAIN, and only 2 were protected in plastic ( the pink teapots) within their boxes.
Conversely, I ordered additional piñatas from another company (Birthday Express, through Ebay), which arrived the same day, and were also out on the driveway in the rain, but all were protected in plastic within their boxes.
I was lucky. The rain was not torrential, but the boxes were so wet the sealing tapes were falling off. Had the rain been any harder, the piñatas within, that were not protected with plastic, would have been soaked, too.
If I continue to order from them, I had BETTER ASK TO HAVE EACH ITEM SENT WITHIN A PLASTIC BAG, and see if they comply, and I suggest the same for you.

"I would have given zero stars. Did not receive any of my personalized merchandise that I PAID for and no response from customer service. This stuff is for my son's first birthday, I did the same for my other son and was looking forward to the keepsakes (so they both have them). Once this company has your money, they don't care if there is an issue. Even if it costs more, go elsewhere to ensure you get what you want and proper service. Shame on you Birthday in a Box! "
"DO NOT buy a package, they will substitute any sold out item with a generic dollar store quality item. I ordered 3 weeks in advance of the party. The package arrived 2 weeks later, on time. But I had ordered Ninja plates with dragon napkins. Instead, I got Ninja plates with red napkins. Yes, it is a child's party, and not the end-of-of-the-world. But I could have ordered that exact package from AMAZON and saved myself the shipping. Customer service told me I can have the napkins refunded, but there is not confirmation number, and it has to be approved. All the other reviews say this company is not good with refunds, so we will see. . .
update: They did refund my purchase within the week. I still wouldn't order from them again. "

Came 3 weeks AFTER the party!! Told mailman send it back, i dont have use for it after i had to give my son a crappy dollar store birthday.
