"I ordered Orlieb bags in 2012 and 2013. They were top of the line and had to be shipped from Ortlieb in Europe so it took a while. Still, I got them for less than anywhere else and I did some serious research. The 2 week+ wait was clearly stated during the ordering process and an option to change or delete the item was given in the email that came promptly. One item I found on Ebay for the same price but I got it from BikeBagShop.
I called them to add an item to my pending order to avoid shipping and they did even after I had ordered it paying with paypal. They backed out the shipping cost and so I got free shipping on the smaller order too.
Call them and you get a real person without a wait and no canned replies.

"Excellent individual & honest customer service.

I ordered a full set of Revelate Designs bags for my Moonlander. My order instructions were not straightforward but BikeBagShop nailed it.

I pre-ordered for delivery to my hotel over the holiday period so I could have them for my holiday.

I also made a mistake with my order details, but they quickly corrected this for me following an email. My mistake also meant that the shipping costs applied to my order were for a premium international delivery service. I wasn't bothered by this because I'd made the mistake and I was conscious that I was already becoming a burden. Even with this their overall costs were still lower than the competition, but they refunded the difference to me without me asking or expecting it!

I was updated regularly by email about the status of my order which was dispatched as promised on Boxing Day! The goods were delivered on time and were waiting for me at my hotel on my arrival. A very positive experience. I will definitely return again - if they'll have me!

"I had a great experience with this merchant. I ordered Ortlieb Backpacker Plus panniers. Because my item was "not in stock" when I placed the order, I followed up my order with an email requesting updated information when it was available. I quickly received a polite and accurate response. My items arrived withing the time frame given (< 2 weeks) and perfectly matched the description on the website. I recommend the Bike Bag Shop."

"--Revelate Designs Tangle Frame Pack--Review--
bought this frame bag last week. excellent price, very good service and very fast delivery, just amazing. i've even sprayed the frame bag with silicone spay to make it more water proof. it fits perfectly on my frame of my bicycle and my ebike battery fits perfectly in it. i am a very satisfied customer and will buy more product from you in the near future. very good quality product and a lot a variety for very good price, i recommend this website to anyone that wants good quality frame bags. P.S. (to water proof any type of bags, you need to spray it with silicone base spray and to protect you stuff in the bags, you need to wrap it and seal it in platic bags so you're sure that everything in the bags will be protected at 100% from water damage.)

"I tried to order a backpack during a sale and the color I ordered ended up not being in stock, despite the website saying it was. The backup color I requested also ended up not being in stock when I redid my order. The website should be better updated with actual inventory. Customer service was fairly helpful, but I would not order from them again."

"I purchased a few tubes for a new bike traler I bought. First time shopping with these guys. The website was pretty easy to move around on and found what I needed quickly. Prices and shipping cost although not cheep, were fair and I got my item in 2 days!
Just good overall service and I would shop with them again.

"I recently ordedered some Panniers, a rack, lights etc and they've been great. They told me one item wasn't in stock and the order would be on hold with that backordered. As I was happy to wait (in Australia ordering German panniers via the USA), so I'm used to waiting for items. There was tracking via USPS to LA and then Australia Post the rest of the way. No problems, just don't expect things the next day 10,000 miles away of course, it'll take a while!"

"I placed an order on the weekend of 9/15 for two items which I was told would be available "within 1 to 2 weeks," then immediately shipped. It is now the 17th of October, I have not received either item, and what's more, not only was I charged for both items on 9/16, I received NO update on my order until I proactively contacted the company, at which point I was told that one item was still on back order and they had no ETA date for it.
Since when does a company charge you before they have the merchandise? Since when do they not even bother to update you when their promised availability turns out to be false? AVOID AVOID AVOID.

"Hi. I ordered a Cygolite 740 Turbo from bike tech shop. Also had a friend make an order for me for another Cygolite and a Light and Motion Vis 360+. They were both shipped promptly and well packed. Upon trying the Vis 360, I was unhappy with the beam pattern (I wanted more of a spot, like the original Vis 360, but this was more of a flood) so I sent it back. My friend that ordered it for me was promptly refunded on his credit card, no questions asked. Very good experience all around, and I would order from them again. In fact, I'm just waiting for the new Cygolite Expilion 700 to show up on there web site."

"I would totally recommend calling BikeBagShop.com before placing your order. Their website does not seem linked to their inventory system. That being said, I've called them twice before placing an order and even emailed them with questions.

All 3 contacts were handled promptly, efficiently, politely. They know their stuff, and seem to actually use the products they sell.
Call #1: I was thinking about buying some Vaude equipment, but for the same price they steered me to the Ortlieb parts. They explained which bags work with which racks, and could confirm measurements.
Email: I asked them further about dimensions and compatibility, they responded by email and posted the response on their forums to help others with the same questions.
Call #2: Once I had selected the parts, I called to confirm availability.
...then I placed the order online using paypal...
Parts were shipped the same day USPS. I live just 1 state over so 2 days later parts were at my door.

Overall, very pleased with the communication and transaction and would do biz again, but only after calling to confirm inventory.

"Ordered a Banjo Brothers Quick-Release Handlebar Bag on a Monday AM CST and was hoping to have it by Friday afternoon for a weekend 100K event. I checked my order on Tuesday and again on Wednesday morning and it still showed pending on the site. I contacted bikebagshop and was told that it was scheduled to ship out some time Wednesday afternoon Flagstaff time. With a 3-5 day ship time this ensured I would not get it by the weekend. Had to go out and purchase another bag from a local bike shop as a back up. When I reviewed the site's shipping policy I saw "Same Day shipping" but they clarify by stating "We will do everything we can to ensure your order goes out the same day that it is received.
(We do not guarantee same day shipping but we try our hardest to make it happen. Call us to check on your order's status)"
I was further disappointed by the Fedex site and the slow updates to the tracking status of my order. I realize this is out of the control of the store, but this added to my frustration. I finally received my order 8 calendar days after I ordered it. I love my bag from Banjo brothers and feel I got it for a fair price, but am not certain I would shop with bikebagshop again in the future or not.

"I will be avoiding BikeShopHub.com for any future purchases. When their inventory is incorrect, they don't call in advance to tell you of their inventory discrepencies. Even though they had my phone number, they didn't feel it necessary to let me know about their impartial order fulfillment. Then, when I brought this to the attention of customer service, they told me that a post shipment-email should have been good enough. Arrrgh! They like to argue with the customers."
