"Don't waste your time with these yahoos... the only reason I give them ONE star is because there wasn't an option for ZERO stars. First, Josh didn't want to give me the correct bonus item for a $1K+ order because THEY didn't have the items needed to fulfill the order in stock... said he didn't want to 'incentivize the purchase of out-of stock items' (WTF? Why do you care if I'm paying you for them??). When I offered to take my business elsewhere, he changed his tune and said if they had at least half the items in stock, he'd go ahead and give me the bonus. His e-mail indicating the order had been placed on backorder stated the items were expected to be in stock in one to two weeks. That was on Nov 13. On Dec 16, I e-mailed to ask a status on the order and was told (by Josh again) that they had an order coming from a vendor in a few days, and that I should *likely* have my order before Christmas. After AGAIN receiving no update from BBS when that DIDN'T occur, I e-mailed on Jan 02 and was told by Matt that they had an order coming from the vendor on Jan 03 or Jan 06, and that maybe my items would be in that shipment?? Minutes later, I got an e-mail from Josh stating that they had tried e-mailing me and leaving messages to ask if I wanted partial shipment or wanted to wait. When were these numerous e-mails and phone messages sent, Josh?? In the space between Dec 16 and Jan 02? I received no such voice mails or e-mails. I have every communication sent by BBS, and they had already been instructed on Nov 13 to hold shipment until all items were in. It sounds like one hand there doesn't know what the other is doing... I do know (from Josh's own words) that they used to be a distributor for a very well-known pannier manufacturer... and then that manufacturer took them off their reseller list. Hmmm... I wonder why? Do yourselves a great favor and avoid this company (and its sister companies) like the plague."

"It was my first time purchasing from bikeshophub. They have really nice bags and at good prices. I liked what I received and it arrived a few days after i purchased it. I bought two bags to compare and like them both but returning one because i do not need it. I contacted customer service and did not have any issues. Id shop there again. Only thing I would change is there website does not have clear return directions for items purchased and I would have liked to have been able to view that. "

"The product was "accidentally" on back order and was to ship out in 1-2 weeks. I emailed at the 2 week point and got no response. I called 2 days later and they did not know when the item would be shipping. The order shipped out about a week later (total of almost 3 weeks after ordering), but for the inconvenience I would have expected expedited shipping or coupon for a future order."

"These guys are great the product I order was on back-order and they did not charge my credit card until they filled the order. I think little things like that say a lot about a company. "I purchased the Vaude Aqua Pack Deluxe bags from BikeBagShop. Their web site said 1-2 weeks backorder wich turned out to be 4 weeks. Once i got my order, was an issue with one of the clips. The customer service, while responsive, was at best unhelpful and at worst insulting. After not explaining in an email how exactly to adjust the clip, I was told to find someone more "mechanically inclined" to help me.

When I spoke to Robin on the phone he was defensive and unapologetic. I won't be ordering from them again.

"Terrible customer service and attention to detail.

I advise avoiding this business.

First order: sent a defective bag. Not their fault.

Replacement of defective bag - sent wrong bag.

Refused to send replacement of the second bag until they received confirmation from Fedex that I had shipped the wrong bag back to them, and promised to monitor tracking info to see the shipment and send replacement that same day. Refused to expedite to faster (2 day) shipment because of their error.

Neglected to pay attention to tracking info and lost a day in getting new bag out. Didn't bother to send me an email with shipment info as promised over the phone - I had to call them after hearing nothing for 2 days.

Current tracking info shows the bag coming in 2 days - so it's taken a month to get me my order, that is if they put the right bag in the box this time.

Over the phone, "Robin" showed little, if any concern over his company's mishandling of my order, repeatedly saying "sometimes mistakes happen, what do you want us to do?" and "sorry this didn't go as you planned."

It's not that it didn't go as *I* planned - it's that bikeshophub made multiple mistakes and broke promises.

Every other online bike retailer I've used has ALWAYS offered expedited shipping when they've screwed up an order. And they've seemed to actually care that they made an error and go an extra length to make up for it. Not these guys.

First time buyer, last time buyer. AVOID.
