"Ordered two bike components on Wed, October 12th. Called on Thr October 13th, and they confirmed shipping within next day or two. Cancelled order October 18th -- order had not shipped and I got attitude from the sales support."

"These guys have really low prices on quite a few items, but the low prices come at a cost.

When I placed my last order with these guys, I did it over the phone because I wanted them to pricematch a few items and make sure they were in stock.

When I placed the order, the person I spoke to was congenial and pricematched all the items I requested a match on. He also said everything was in stock. After a few days, I realized my card hadn't been charged yet, so I called to make sure it shipped. Well, one of the items was out of stock, holding up the the entire order.

At this point it would have been nice to receive a call or email informing me so, but no big deal, I cancelled that item then waited for my order.

When I finally received the order, I noticed the total was higher than what it was supposed to be. After doing the math, I realized that they pricematched everything except for one specific item. When I called to fix the problem, the person who answered wasn't very friendly and began to question the pricematch on that item.

I guess he thought I was making it up just to get free money. Since I keep thorough notes, I looked them up and proceeded to give him all the details (date/time of order, who I spoke to, etc.). Then he went through all the questions about the price match (who is the pricematch against? did they have it in stock? etc.)

I answered him but then mentioned that so and so had already agreed to pricematch when I placed the order so it was a little too late to say you can't pricematch. The item is sitting in front of me, yet my card was charged a different amount than agreed upon.

Here's the kicker...when I mentioned this was the second time I had a pricematch problem with BeyondBikes he became extremely defensive and eventually hung up on me!! I couldn't believe someone in customer service would actually hang up on a customer!

So I called back and spoke to the person I originally placed the order with. He must have been a manager because he treated me with respect and agreed to issue me a credit. I probably should have known better, this was the second time I had this exact problem (pricematch not honored when credit card was charged). I just thought maybe the first time it was a fluke.

I guess my biggest problem is not that they couldn't pricematch an item. I understand companies exist to make money, but that they would ship an item and charge your card without informing you they were changing the price! If they would have just contacted me saying, "Hey, we can't pricematch this item because it's below our cost, do you still want it?", I would have been fine and just cancelled that specific item. Instead, I had to call and receive the third degree then get hung up on.

Price isn't everything as Wal-mart would have you believe.

"The general public want it all, cheap prices, instant replies to email, next day delivery. The overheads to run email, anti spam, anti virus, invoicing, secure web site, warranty + shipping dept are expensive. If you want cheap then go find it on ebay or to a pet shop. Personaly I ordered from the Beyond Bikes from the UK to get some esoteric items not availabke over here. I had a problem with one item and they shipped a new one straight out free shipping. I am a very happy customer. You may be getting confused with Jenson-USA who do require faxed security checks prior to shipping as BB did not."

"I ordered a set of wheels from Beyond Bikes that were supposed to be all black. It was clearly listed on the website that the spokes, rims and hubs were black. The price was pretty good considering there is usually a big markup to get black spokes. Well, when the wheels arrived they had silver spokes, but were otherwise correct. I originally figured it was a mix up, but called and spoke to the sales managed who proceeded to tell me that this was to good of a deal for black spokes, so they just sent everyone silver spokes without asking them. At least they admit to their bait and switch scams, but I will never consider doing business with them again. They offered to let me send the wheels back, but I would have to pay shipping as well as wait a few weeks to get another wheelset. Considering it was summer and I didnt want to miss any ride time I just kept them. I say beware of Beyond Bikes."

"good price
order confirmed by email the same day, but the dealer asked to mi for security a fax with credit card details
after that, i sent many mail to ask the status of order. Sometime i get any response, other time the sales manager pospone the shipping day.
i peformed payment 15 day ago, but at the present time the order is not shipped.
