"I ordered a Camelbak Lobo from Beyond Bikes because they had the best price. Unfortunately, their site is deceiving and doesn't clearly indicate if the item is in stock or not. After I was notified that my order would ship in one week, I called customer service to find out why there was such a long delay. Carey in customer service told me that if an item is in stock, the site will say "ships within 24 hours". If it's out of stock it will say "ships in 0-5 days". Makes sense, right? I didn't think so, either.

This is the only experience I've had with them, so I'm not completely dissatisfied, especially because their price was much better than all other sites I checked. I would order from them again.

"I'm from Australia and ordered some carbon fibre handlebars for my downhill/freeride rig with money I got for my birthday. It's been almost a month since I placed my order and I haven't heard a thing since an automated email was sent out immediately after I placed my order. They've billed my credit card but they haven't returned my two (polite) emails asking about the status of my order. I looked at the item again tonight and it still says 24 hour shipping. I FEEL LIKE I'VE BEEN RIPPED OFF! HAPPY BIRTHDAY INDEED...
Sad, because I ordered from JENSEN USA a couple of weeks ago (single speed kit) and it arrived really quickly. I didn't buy the handlebars from them though because beyond had them for 40 bucks cheaper...I now wish I'd just spent the extra 40 rods, at least I'd have my handlebars.

"I ordered a few sets of brake pads on May 23 and received confirmation the next day saying it would ship in 3-6 days. so far so good. A week later it still hasn't shipped, so I email them to see what's up."Some of the items weren't in stock, but will be here in a couple of days and it will ship then". Not happy, but the prices are good so I can handle it. Two days later I decide to add a pair of shoes to the order if they're in stock and the order hasn't already shipped. I specifically said if they're not in stock then don't worry about it. I get an email back saying only "Done", and the shoes now show up on my order. Three days later nothing has shipped so I email them to see what's going on. No response. It's been three weeks now since I placed my order and I finally get a response. "some of the pads are on back order and the shoes will be here maybe by the middle or end of July"

I just can't believe these guys, their lack of communication and total disrespect for the customer is the worst I've experienced. The only good thing I can say about them is that their prices are really good, but that means nothing if they don't have anything in stock. And just because they sell things at a low price doesn't mean they can basically lie and string people along, it will cost them in the end. I wish I'd found this forum before I got roped in.

"BeyondBikes.com does not honor their Free Shipping statement on their website:
"Free Shipping is Simple...Some items will ship free.... Some Entire orders will ship Free if you meet the description criteria (usually a certain dollar amount)".

I called to find out the amount required to qualify, which the rep did not know but agreed to grant me free shipping on my $160 order. I then called back to ask to ship items separately (inventory delay on one), willing to pay for the new shipping difference. Instead, BeyondBikes intentionally re-priced my order with the prior discount removed.

As the supervisor in Customer Service eloquently explained to me, "We're not in business to lose money" and "I'm sorry someone at my store told you you could have free shipping. We just don't do that."

If customer service is at all important to you - especially when paying near retail price - I'd encourage giving your business to a more deserving shop.

"I ordered a saddle and shoes on April 23rd and recieved an email confirmation immediately. After not hearing anything from them for a couple of weeks, I called the company on May 7th to find out what the status was. I was told that the shoes were on back order and would ship by the end of the week. When I asked why I hadn't been notified that the order was delayed, I was only told that they send an email when the order ships. It is two weeks later now, and the order is just going out the door. 4 weeks later with no communications is not a way to keep customers happy. This was my first experience with these guys and it will be my last."

"I kind of wish my seat had arrived 1 business day earlier so it would have been ready for my weekend bike ride, but I can't complain. The new bike saddle I bought was much cheaper than anywhere else, and they also offered a 10% off online coupon for it. The selection is pretty decent overall, I'd buy from them again if they have what I'm looking for, though it's not the best site to just browse around."

"Very very slow.

For my new bike I ordered a heavier spring and a new seatpost. Well, let me summarize by saying I have ridden the bike a few times without the new parts.

I ordered on Tuesday morning November 21, and it still hasn't shipped. What could possibly be going on over there? The parts appear in-stock, today I got a confirmation of the order, not a shipping confirmation mind you. One whole week for an order confirmation is a bit much I think we all agree.

My credit card has been charged since day one, just FYI. They were quick about that!

So I have sent an email to see what the story is, from the sounds of it I don't expect any kind of response.

Make life easier on yourself and go to www.jensonusa.com. Even if they don't have the part advertised on the site, they are likely to have it. They ship the same day in almost every case, and you get it the day after or so.

I probably won't buy anything from Beyondbikes again, unless they have some amazing deal that I have no upcoming need for.

"UK and non US shoppers beware. Low prices quoted for goods plus shipping and handling get it as far as your country. We paid an extra £55.84 in import duty, VAT and Parcelforce clearance fee. When I suggested to beyond bikes that I'd like to see this on their website they got very offhand and said they couldn't possibly do anything about it. Very poor customer focus. "

"In a word: SLOW.....

Ever since Performance bought Bike Nashbar and SuperGo, I thought I'd give BeyondBikes a go with an order for a chainring and a cyclometer.

Nothing was OOS, but it took forever (2+wks)to get the order and shipping was not cheap, 3$ more than typical. Even processing the order was slow.

They do have a good selection, but since they are Beyond_etc...they are not real bike oriented types.

"In the end, I got what I wanted for the price I wanted, but it wasn't painless. I found a wheelset I really wanted for a great price on their site, so I decided to also order two disk rotors, a cassette, and some stans. I used their pricematch feature to match pricing on other sites. This is where my first problem was encountered. It took about 30min of fidilling around to get it to work correctly...things like changing the quantity of an item in your shopping cart would reset the prices back to their original price...I finally figured out a way to add the 3 pricematch items and not reset the prices. Once I got the order submitted (Sat) I didn't receive an email confirmation until Monday. When Thursday rolled around with no status change on the website, and no email, I called asking what the holdup was. Turns out my rotors were not in stock so they were holding up the entire order. Wish they had informed me of that as soon as the order was complete. On Friday I finally received a tracking number for shipment. Problem is, it never worked, I think they gave me the wrong number. I don't know what day it actually got shipped, but I didn't receive the items until Wednesday the next week."
