"Fine on-line store. I have ordered from them about 5 times (various NiMh batteries, a Vanson BC-1HU charger, a smaller AA charger with a car adapter, and a digital multimeter) and all merchandise was delivered to my satisfaction. Merchandise is good quality, and prices seem fair. Their website has a nice format and is easy to navigate. I will definintely continue to patronize BatterySpace."

"I am a 1st time customer. I placed my order for a 6V 3000mAh NiMH battery for my streamlight ultrastinger flashlight last friday night (10/26/07) at 11:30PM and it was delivered by noon the following tuesday. They offer top quality products at great prices, and their customer service is trult outstanding. I emailed them with a few questions regarding another item and I got an answer in just a few hours, and this was on a weekend! The battery I bought has twice the capacity of a standard ultrastinger battery for less cost. I recommend this company to everyone.

"Two part review, of the seller and the product.

The Batteryspace.com is a great place to shop and here is why. I ordered a NiMH battery pack for an RC car because they were cheap and had fairly decent review, although there were concerns that they were relatively unknown. I took a chance because there are other sellers that sell similar unknown brands of batteries for around the same price so I know their prices aren't one of those "too good to be true" scams. They shipped my battery on time but they sent the wrong product. It was similar since the only difference was the type of connector, but not exactly as described on the website (batteryspace.com). Here is where they proved to be a great seller. I sent them an e-mail on Saturday with my complaint and by Monday morning I had a response. Not expecting them to read complaint e-mails over the weekend, I called them Monday morning and they picked up the phone and spoke to me and explained they saw my e-mail and had already mailed the correct product via priority mail along with a return postage for the wrong batteries. That's what I call great customer service. Mistakes happen but it's how cases are resolved that define a good company you'd want to deal with.

The battery I purchased was the Powerizer NiMH 4200 mAH 8.4V 7 cell pack with Dean's connectors for the E-Maxx. They offer it with two types of connectors, the original Tamiya or the Dean's Ultra plugs. The ones I first received were the Tamiya connectors and when they arrived, the glue that holds the 7th cell together was brittle and the cell was held in place by the metal strip connector which was not sturdy. Well, when I complained about receiving the wrong connector type, I also complained about the workmanship of the battery pack. Then when I received the correct packs they replaced promptly, I was extemely satisfied. They felt sturdy and the glue wasn't old and brittle like the first ones I received. Well, that's not what makes for a good battery but it's a start. I charged them up and WOW! These packs exceeded all my expectations in terms of the additional power the provided to the motor. Speed increased and the car ran much longer than I thought it would, possibly 20 minutes of casual and speed runs. I didn't measure exactly how long but it was long enough that I got tired before the battery drained. Of course, another important aspect of rechargabl batteries is the life. Well, I didn't review the battery or batteryspace on purpose until I had them for a while and felt comfortable writing the review. I have been running these batteries on average 3-4 times a week. That's about 2 months and I feel they are pretty much the same as they were when I first charged them up. It still blows me away at the fact that these batteries cost roughly 1/2 of some of the other batteries with the same capacity. I've been told that performance of battery packs depend on the quality of the matching process but the so called good batteries I saw actually cost more like 2.5 times what I paid for these. So, I can't imagine "good" batteries to be 2.5 times what I'm getting out of these. The batteries are good overall but there are a few little issues I will point out. These are relatively cheap packs a reason. The connectors they use to hold the batteries together, the tabs, are very thin and flimsy. They work fine as connectors I'm sure, since the packs work great in providing the power to the truck, but it doesn't look strong and if anything does break, it could be those connectors. Secondly, the glue on the 7th cell is also a bit of a concern because I saw examples of the ones that became brittle and broke during shipment and the ones I am running are getting soft when the battery get's hot and feels like they are going to melt off. The connectors and glue can be redone if you know what you are doing but I'm not there yet so I am concerned but the batteries themselves are great so if that ever happens, I guess it can be repaired. I also don't mind the thin tabs, it could be by design that they used the thin tabs. The thick heavy duty tabs could make it difficult to fit in the battery slot because of the extra bulk but I think they could have found a way to make it work using the stronger connectors. But remember these are cheap so such things as connector tabs shouldn't really change your mind from buying these. It would almost sound like you'd be willing to pay $100 for better glue and battery tabs.

"Review of business transaction with BatterySpace.com

I recently purchased batteries from BatterySpace.com (7.2V NiCad Battery Pack). They had the battery pack I needed at a good price and it was in-stock. Shipping costs were easy to calculate. Credit card transaction seemed secure, billing was straightforward, and communication was good. Product arrived as scheduled, and the product was as-advertised. If I could find the same product at the same price locally, I would probably buy locally; but BatterySpace was the best option on this purchase and I would use them again.

Battery pack was needed for a fifteen year old radio control model plane with an electric motor. The missing battery pack was a 7.2 volt pack with specific requirements for dimensions and weight. I checked some local stores for the battery, but did not find what I needed. I checked the internet and found that BatterySpace.com had two options, and both were advertised at good prices. They had a single pack for $12.99, or a double pack for $16.99. Capacity was different between the two, but both were above the minimum I needed. I did not really see another option on the internet that was competitive with BatterySpace on this product. The product is available from several sources, but the BatterySpace option was about half the cost of the other retailers.

Prior to ordering from BatterySpace, I Googled their company name to see if I could find some user reviews. I also went to ebay and checked their ratings on ebay. I noticed that the ratings were generally positive, with a few dissatisfied customers here and there. I decided the generally positive experiences and high volume over the last five years or so were enough of a reference for me to do business with BatterySpace. I was glad to see a comment in the terms and agreements that indicated BatterySpace does not keep my credit card number in their customer database. Some companies have had breaches of their security that jeopardized everyone who had done business with them. I placed my order over the internet, but was glad they had a phone number to call if I preferred that method.

Since shipping charge was similar for both options under consideration, I bought the two-pack. Calculating the shipping costs on the web site was easy. Order confirmation was sent quickly by email. I chose UPS as the shipping method. UPS tracking via the internet was easy and effective with the link provided. Product arrived in good condition. Packaging was appropriate for the product. Product met description and specifications advertised. Performance of the product has been as good as expected. I could have used some charging technical specifications, but it was easy enough to get those from the web.

I recently checked for a few other battery packs I need. I find the BatterySpace selection menu to be easy to use, and their selection covers all of the packs I have checked. The fact that they list voltage, physical dimensions, current and power ratings, and even weight meant that I could tell whether they really had a product I needed. Pictures of the final product are good. You need to ignore the pictures used in the intermediate menu screens; just select the type of battery and voltage that you need, and keep clicking until you get to the product specific pictures.

"I bought the Vanson BC1HU Universal Smart Charger + 8xD size 10Ah NiMH Batteries. So far, very happy with the product and batteries. But the charger and batteries are available from a number of online retailers. As with so much online shopping, the decision comes down to price and shipping charges.

Buyer Beware! BatterySpace appears to have the best prices going...but there's a catch.

The web site advertises one thing, and something else arrives by mail. When you inquire about the difference, the BatterySpace response is "that's a typo." Given several attempts to rectify the problem, BatterySpace instead becomes confrontational (even rude). In this case, the web site states the charger comes with a DC car adapter – as do many of their competitors. In fact, BatterySpace does not ship the adapter, and later stated they do not even sell the right adapter (even after I pointed out the product on their site). No wonder their prices are lower – you get less!

Save yourself a headache -- Buy from one of their competitors selling the exact same product.

"I have been a Batteryspace customer for almost 4 years now, since November 2004. From then on, Batteryspace becomes the only battery supplier that I do business with. The reason that made me a returned customer is that its products offers the best quality price ratio. I will continue to be a returning customer to BatterySpace for my future needs, due to their unmatchful quality price ratio.

In November 2004, I bought a couple of dozens of AA 2300mAh (now the web site is selling for 2600mAh as the standard of NiMH rechargeable) High Capacity NiMH Rechargeable Batteries from BatterySpace. Today, I am still using most of them (1 out of 24 died). I have been using them in many appliances, from personal mp3 player to my kid's toys to my digital camera. The primary comment I have for those batteries, that I have been using for 4 years, is that they are reliable. They have been recharged again and again. I don't see any problem with the 23 batteries (again, out of 24).

In May 2007, I bought another batch of AA batteries. This is because the 23 I have are outnumbered by the personal accessories I have now. Lots of funs coming out from the support of the rechargeable batteries, and the peace in mind that the rechargeable batteries are friendly to the environment, which makes me feel good about having a positive impact on our environment when I use those batteries.

The Class 2 battery charger (model V-6833B 5H26 E183799), with space saving foldable plugs, charging up to 4 batteries at a time, a built-in IC timer control, charges both AAA and AA batteries nicely and smartly as well. After approx.8-hour charging, the charger will stop automatically and its LED will switch off.

I have not conducted a scientific study on the battery's data so I don't have precise numbers to support my point. But my feeling is that the batteries have high quality in terms of strength. For example, my walkman uses 2 AA batteries. After putting in 2 charged AA batteries, it almost runs for 3 weeks before I need to recharge them. I was surprised of it because the rechargeable batteries I had before wear out in 1 week or so even if you don't use them.

Another example, using their batteries on my digital camera, I have never experienced any problems due to the batteries. So I never had any idea about the "memory loss effect" my friends talked about. I updated my camera several times, from Nikon to Pannasonic to Cannon, but the batteries used have always been from BatterySpace.

This time, I am buying dozens of AAA batteries. This is because I have a new mp3 player which requires this size of batteries.

The outstanding quality, in combination with an outstanding price concluded that this company provides the best value - quality price ratio. I am glad I chose BatterySpace 4 years ago . Seeing their business running 4 more years since then, I have developed more trust for them.

"-
I am writing this review before receiving this order because I ordered from this company once last year and I was very satisfied at that time.
-
My new order is for exactly the same things that I bought last year... a number of NiMH AA batteries, a battery charger, an AC adaptor, and a camera case.
-
The quality of their merchandise is good, and their prices can't be beat. Their web-site is excellent and so is their service.
-
I highly recommend this vendor.
-
PS....
The reason I bought the same things again this year is because I gave the other things away when I gave away my last camera.
-
Now that I've bought a new camera, I needed to reorder those same accessories.

"You've got to shop for batteries here! I had 'need' of some rechargeable battery packs for my kids' remote control snow machines (hence the order in the middle of winter). I went with a large pack so that the kids could play longer (the machines were $19 dollars at Wal-Mart), which is ALWAYS good! Well, I picked up what I found to be the best deal around, for three (3) 9.6 V, 2200 mAh battery packs in the exact configuration that I needed for just over eleven ($11) dollars apiece. I also picked up a cheap 'smart' charger (has the voltage-controlled shut off when the battery is fully charged and keeps all kinds of nasty things from happening) that works for NiCD (came with the snow machines) and NiMH which batteryspace.com kindly stocks. The NiMH don't have battery 'memory', like NiCD, and like to be charged quicker. So, the packs arrived today and I immediately set it to charging. The charging takes about 4 hours on these long-lasting 2200 mAh batteries and that is the same amount of time for the puny 600 mAh batteries that came with the snow machines. Well, the charger finished with the first battery and I plugged in a second before heading out to discover just how long these batteries would last. So, while the charger, which handles anything between 7.2 V to 12V and 600 mAh on up, was toiling away with the second battery, I set the snow machine down and pushed forward on the controls and... the snow machine took off faster than it'd ever gone before. Now, I plan to do actual tests of comparison speed but I would estimate that it is three (3) times faster! AND, IT'S STILL GOING A HALF-HOUR LATER!

The batteries seem to perform as I thought they would and way beyond! The Compact Smart Charger (~$19) seems to work great. I love batteryspace.coms products, their website and the entire experience that I've had since I decided to purchase from them. They even offered a 5% discount on my next purchase (which will probably come sooner than later!) and they offer a credit for reviewing their products (on their site) once you've purchased and tried their product.

If you need batteries, batteryspace.com is the best place I've found to go. Now back to playing with those snow machines because now they are enough fun for Dad!

"I had a very good experience with batteryspace and a very bad one. In December I placed an order for 60 batteries and a charger. After more than ten days I received no confirmation email, no package, and no explanation. I was patient, figuring they were busy after Christmas. When I called I was told that my card would not go through; they would cancel the order and I can place a new order with a different card. (I've had this problem with the card I used because it has my middle name and most online forms only have a place for first and last names.) I asked why I was never notified that the order could not be completed. I was given no explanation.
I placed a new order and received the order confirmation right away, and the order a few days later. The batteries and charger work great. I have no problems with them. This was the positive experience.
The negative one occurred Jan 22nd. I received a UPS shipment notice from batteryspace. It was for the order I placed in December that supposedly could not be billed. I checked my account and sure enough, I was charged. I called batteryspace and they said it had already gone out. I was told to submit an RMA when I receive the package and I would be refunded minus shipping and a 20% restocking fee. I explained that this is unacceptable since this was their mistake. He said "oh yes, submit the RMA and we'll refund you the full price".
I will probably keep the products. I will eventually need more rechargeables. I get the feeling that I will not get the shipping back, and will pay the restocking fee. I could call and explain but it will probably end up being a lot of work to explain and get the refund. I'd end up paying the return shipping, their shipping, and the 20% and have no product.
Overall, I think it is a decent store. Prices are low. Communication is ok. Both times that I called I spoke with a live person right away. One call was made at 4:55pm. But, if I'm given a BS answer that kind of negates the positive experience of talking to a live person. I would just be more vigilant if/when dealing with them. If you order and get no shipping confirmation by the next day, call them.

"This is a review for the BC1HU charger and various batteries from Batteryspace.com

I have become a battery fan since my baby girl was born. Of course when everything around you runs of batteries you obviously need rechargeables.
This is my second order from BatterySpace. The first time I ordered the 10000 mAh D size batteries to use with for my baby’s bouncer as alkalines die after about one month. I had tried using some 2900 mAh D batteries from Rayovac, but they turned out to be some AA in a D cell and did not last even as much as alkalines. Powerizer batteries lasted longer but not much more longer than I had expected and I began to wonder why.
After doing some research I learned that Powerizer batteries have high capacity and cheaper chargers such as my Rayovac cannot charge them completely as they use smaller charging current and shut themselves off after 16 hours or so, and the battery is still full yet. Of course I could have kept charging them for about 3 days, but I decided to buy the BC1HU Computer-Controlled Universal Battery Charger. It can charge all nickel based batteries and can handle today’s high capacity products.
The packet arrived on time and in very good condition. I checked and everything worked as expected. The only inconsistency I can find with the charger is with the charging current. On Batteryspace.com website it says that it is 820 mA for all batteries except AAA, however on the product manual and on the charger itself it says that the current is 700 mA. I believe that there’s a chip inside the charger that tells it how much to pump in the battery and the manufacturer updates only the chip itself to keep up with higher capacity. I guess they should update the manual at least. Anyway, I tested my D size batteries right away. I have two toys that take D batteries and I can tell you that they I am amazed what a difference it made, it has been over a month now of everyday use and they have not run out yet. It’s a charger one must have. I wish that they changed the AC Adapter with a world-wide one, you need an inverter if you plan to travel overseas.
Along with the charged I also ordered a dozen of 2500 mAh AA batteries from here: http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2554 that I am very impressed with. I absolutely love the battery holders it comes with as I can finally organize them. I own a Nikon SB-800 flash that I use with my digital camera that uses four batteries and needs big spikes of current. Before I got the Powerizeres I used some 2650 mAh Duracell’s that last me over 300 flashes and I was quite happy with that performance. Well, it turns out that although they are rated at lower capacity, they’ve lasted my over 400 flashes already and are still working.
I had hoped the same performance from the 850 mAh AAA batteries as well, but they don’t seem to outlast my Sony 900 mAh that I mainly use in my baby monitor. Sony last me six days, but Powerizer die after 5 days. I guess that in low draining applications like mine, the higher capacity makes the difference. Powerizer guys will tell you that the 850 mAh ones are more robust and will last longer than the competition. Only time will tell.
I also got a 9V-size battery that I used to replace Energizer’s 9V-size battery. That’s because Energizer is a cheat, it has a voltage of 7.2V (six cells of 1.2V) and Powerizer has 8.4V (seven cells of 1.2V). One must be very careful when purchasing this type of batteries as 7.2 V may not be enough, or at least it wasn’t for me.
Overall I am very happy with my shopping experience and I will definitely purchase more products from Batteryspace

"With our first child, we registered for numerous items (child swing, baby monitor, cradle rocker, etc..) and I quickly realized that our rechargeable stock of AA and AAA NiMH batteries weren’t going cut it any more as the new items required C and D sized battery cells as well. I started doing some internet searches for large cell NiMH batteries and chargers and found that the Vanson BC1HU was a fast, inexpensive, and intelligent charger that was highly recommended. The Vanson can charge a variety of battery sizes (AA’s, AAA’s, C’s, D’s & 9-volt) whether they are NiCd or NiMH. I then discovered that www.batteryspace.com had an EXCELLENT combo package that includes the Vanson BC1HU charger, 4xD-cells, 4xC-cells, 4xAA’s, 4xAAA’s, and 2x9-volt Powerizer batteries for less than $80! After finding this “steal of a deal” my next step was to make sure that www.batteryspace.com was a reputable retailer and my Google searches showed that they in fact were.

After placing my order with them and receiving the batteries I decided to see if using the “discharge feature” of the Vanson on some of my old NiMH batteries could breathe some life into them. Sure enough, several AA and AAA batteries (around 90% of the ones that I tried) were able to be discharged, charged and then used again even though my old Energizer charger (which only charges AA and AAA’s) refused to charge them any more. Having a quality charger like the Vanson, had already paid off as I could start using most of my old, left for dead, NiMH batteries again.

My next test was to see how the included Powerizer batteries from www.batteryspace.com would last in my various “toys”. The 2500 mAH AA batteries powered my Canon PowerShot camera for many more shots that my previous 1800mAH NiMH batteries that had served me so well. I also swapped out the old 700 mAH AAA batteries from my universal remote and replaced them with some Powerizer 850mAH AAA batteries and noticed that they lasted around 2 months, instead of the 1 month that I was used to with the old batteries. Granted this may be because the old ones have been around the block a few times, but I have noticed that changing batteries in the universal remote was a monthly occurrence, so my wife will be happy that she’ll find a dead remote half as often! Next I put the new Powerizer D-cells into the baby swing and noticed that they rocked the swing for the same month or so that the Alkalines they replaced did. Finally, I swapped out the alkaline 9-volt battery in my electrical stimulation unit (for my back) and swapped in a Powerizer 9-volt to see how many sessions I could get out of the rechargeable 9-volt. While the mAH of the Powerizer 9-volt is only 200 versus an Alkaline’s rating of 600 mAH or so, I feel justified in the fact that I won’t have to buy another Alkaline 9-volt every 2 days of stimulation, even though the Powerizer only lasts about 1 day. So unlike the other types of Powerizer batteries, the 9-volt NiMH comes up short in duration when compared to an Alkaline, but it still makes up for it by decreasing waste and saving money by using the rechargeable, so I’m happy with it as well.

Overall I had a GREAT buying experience at www.batteryspace.com and am EXTREMELY pleased with the combo package that gave me a high quality Vanson charger and an assortment of high quality rechargeable Powerizer NiMH batteries. I would definitely recommend making your battery charger and rechargeable battery purchase from www.batteryspace.com, an EXCELLENT company!
