It is not a competitor insulting customers, it is the owner or manager lying!

"I am a writer in Miami and after a Wash Post story recommended this company, I wrote to them. The owner or manager or the person in charge of answering calls (because his number is on the site permanently and has been for years) began insulting me with the worst words ever. I see them lie and say this is a competitor trying to ruin them. Well, I am a public person. My name is Anjanette Delgado and I am a writer and a college professor in Miami. I am not a “competitor.” Everything other reviewers have said is true. If someone has the gall to insult new customers asking about his or her service, and gets off on using vulgar language anytime a potential client is confused or does not agree with something, they should own up to it instead of lying, but then again this person cannot possibly be mentally well. I will post screenshots of my conversation on Facebook before the weekend is over. Save your money. These people are insane. "

STAY AWAY

"Asked why they would want to charge me over 500 USD for shipping (just cushion, not the frame) was told there would be many "fees" and "custom" which they obviously would not pay. When i asked about this as it's not for them to pay i received four emails where they wished me "dead" and that my family was this that and the other and several other threats and disgusting comments."

Representative told me to "F*ck off"

"I wish I could post screenshots of the text message interaction with someone at BarcelonaChairFactory.com, the parent company to their retail site https://www.prettystores.com/ because the entire exchange is unbelievable. I filled an order online for replacement straps for my Barcelona chair. The rep contacted me via text to find out how many I wanted. I inquired about pricing. When I learned about the $5 mark-up per strap for the higher quality and $55 shipping charge from China I requested to cancel my order. The reps next words were exactly, "Ok, you can **** off." I posted a screenshot on my Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/p/BoZq4FoF2YL/ and Facebook pages. When I tried to access their website after this exchange I was unable to pull up the site. I know they had my IP address since it was at the top of my order, I think they blocked me from their website. I had to write this review from a friend's computer. This is a real review from a real person living in Southern California. I work in the service industry, this is obviously poor customer service. My utter disbelief is in the short fuse this representative had and how price inquiries are not a guarantee of sale plus the blocking of their site is SHADY. I found high quality leather straps from a company in the UK that only charged me $20 shipping. I recommend looking elsewhere for what you need."

Ignore the bad reviews which are a campaign by a competitor

"I had nothing of the experience these people described. These outlets are a wholesaler beginning to work retail. and is a different experience than ordering from a retailer-only, but that doesn't explain the crazy comments posted here.
I ordered a replacement pad and pillow for my Le Corbusier LC4. It took a week to arrive and is of very fine quality. The cost was $300 for the pad and pillow and $90 for express shipping. Elsewhere, the same thing (with admittedly better leather) costs $900. I was concerned about the lack of tracking on the shipping, but everything turned out just great. All my friends are thrilled by the quality.

"These guys are not straight forward about what they sell to you. Depending who from this company answers your email, you will get a different price every time. I have had to go back and forth several times with these guys via email only to find out that they said the price has increase right when I was ready to buy. I told them what they were doing is dishonest and a complete waste of my time. There response...

I don't know the quality of these chairs but from their attitude and bad "bait-and-switch" business practices, I will never do business with these guys.

"ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! Dont be fooled. Their website prices are bogus. I placed an order for 4 chairs and the price came to $202. They responded saying that the total would be $540 and thats WITHOUT shipping and doing warehouse pickup. I was actually ready to spend the money, but when asked why the price was almost 3 times more they responded with "DON'T WASTE OUR TIME WITH YOUR STUPID ORDER AND POOR POCKETS, GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!"

Is this how a good business is conducted? Multiple emails were ignored in an attempt to order and anyone can feel free to contact me if you'd like to see actual forwarded emails that were beyond rude and disrespectful. Dont believe their website saying these reviews are fake! These are links to actual email responses to my husband and I. Copy and paste into your browser.

"I ordered 4 chairs from them. The price was fantastic. About $800 for 4 chairs. No brainer right? Well, I'm in north america and guess how much they came back to me for on shipping??? $1,600 ($400 per chair for shipping).

But that was the good part of the transaction. I emailed asking if there were other shipping methods to help lower cost e.g. sea vs. air. They responded by telling me my questions were stupid and that my "silly comparing mind" should go elsewhere". I told them the main reason I was asking was that there were 12 office chairs I might need as well so I'd like to know how much it would be to ship by sea (the quote for $1,600 was for air which they told me when they told me the cost). Once again, they started cursing and cussing and calling me all kinds of names.

I was truly blown away. Unfotunately, I had given them my credit card number and within 24 hours of the order charges started showing up on my card totally unrelated to the chair purchase. Needless to say, I had the credit card company cancel the card, cancel the barcelonachairfactory charge and issue a new card.

I must have been crazy to deal with these jokers in the 1st place. Ironically, now that i see their responses to reviews on this site, I am not surprised. Wish I had checked out this site 1st.

"I ordered a tulip table in Black, 36 inches and it is absolutely Beautiful. It came well packaged in plastic, then bubble wrap and a cardboard box surrounded by wood to protect it. The table was in two pieces and less than 10 mins to put together with the provided screws (4), washers and included allen wrench. I will definitely be buying more from them. Simply outstanding! $400 for a tulip table (includes delivery) is unheard of! My table arrived from China to Baltimore without a scratch! Since they made it to order, the entire process took about two months, but boy was it well worth the wait."

"I love my Barcelona chair! Pretty Stores was great to work with. At first I was worried about sending money overseas. But I took a chance - thankfully!. My chair arrived within 3 weeks! the quality is terrific. I can sit in it for hours and it's very comfortable. It doesn't give off any odor and the steel frame is solid. Every
time I have company over I get compliments on this chair. I will buy from them in the future.

you may know few things
- the shipping is not insured and when you receive it damaged the most you could hope is $0.50 per pound. You do the math for a couch of 80 lbs. This information is not disclosed upon purchase.
- the leather is on the top of the cusions not on the back so if you plan to put your furniture not to the wall you will see that.
- the quality of stainless steel is of a poor grade
- the packaging is not adequate for an oversea shipment
- there is no manager or anybody beside a single person you could communicate with
- knowledge of the actual pieces of furnitre is very low
