Too bad "0" stars is not an option.

"I only wish I had read the reviews before I bothered trying to purchase!! I ordered a dress to wear to my wedding and ordered using express shipping which was to be 2 day FedEx shipping. Two days after I ordered I received a notification that my order had shipped. For two days after this the FedEx tracking status read "label created" . I called the company who assured me my item had shipped out on the day I received the notification, and that the tracking information was wrong. The next day I called FedEx who advised me they did not have the package and had never picked it up. The company had only created a label. I again called the company who again assured me that my package had shipped when I received the notification. They did start a claim for me. Fast forward 2 more days, I again called and they assured me again that it had shipped, and that they could not cancel my order. I again informed them that FedEx does not have my package, I have not received it, and would like a refund. After a brief hold, the agent returned to the line to state that he sees where they started a claim, and that my refund will be processed. Long story short. I already ordered another dress from another company and received it. I will never order from Avenue again, and I will make sure everyone knows what scam artists they are. This was by far the worst customer service I have ever received. "

Avenue - Scamming company

"I ordered a bra in December and paid $41 - the quality of it was substandard - I shipped it back the next day (on Dec 12th) -- They received it 3 days later. After many many emails - today I received a credit for $23.05 -- the last email they sent me on Mar. 12th was that they were refunding me $32 - I had to pay the shipping. Now today I finally get the money and it's half what I paid for it. What a crooked company. They actually had the merchandise in their hand in December and it took them 3 months to give me back a portion of what I paid. WTG Avenue -- that's certainly the best way to retain customers. IDIOTS!"

Deception to the MAX

"Ordered boots that were to be wide. They turned out to be SO wide in the calf I could get BOTH legs in the calf. The material is so poor, they simply fell down to my ankles. Pure garbage. I called them about it and they said to send them back. They did not refund my shipping and actually took additional money back from the purchase price. The garbage quality apparently is OK by them and they want to keep the money. This company has SUCH bad reviews on the web and its clear to see why. They are scam artists selling garbage merchandise and won't stand behind it. Deal with them at your own risk."

They sell defective items that they will not refund/Customer Service is Terrible!!

"My first order was for 2 Christmas gifts. They were only billfolds, that were sealed in individual wrapping. The "gifts" were opened by my daughters on Christmas morning & although cute, were falling apart. I tried to get in touch with Customer service and after going through all of the menus that lead me to nowhere, I somehow chose something that got a live person to talk to. He could barely understand English but knew enough to keep telling me that they do not accept returns or exchanges for any items under a certain dollar amount. I kept telling him that they came defective and they should honor that. It was not me just "NOT LIKING THEM!" He just kept reading me the policy word for word. I finally got upset enough to ask for his supervisor. e would not let me speak to anyone else. I think I finally got him to understand that the billfolds came from them FALLING APART. He kept saying they could not accept returns but if I wanted to take pictures of the billfolds and send them in an email to this address, maybe they would agree that they are defective & I can return them & get some of it back minus the return shipping. I had him repeat the address & I did too & he confirmed. I took pictures uploaded & put all the info in the email & it was not the right address. I had to go to the website to find customer service email address. I found the correct address & sent it. I think I received several emails of fake concern, that basically told me "too bad". Then after several more emails from me I actually received a partial refund. I just noticed it in my Paypal. So I emailed again and said I got a partial & I want the REST and got an email stating that it takes so long to show up depending on my financial institution. (I had told them I had received that part!!!) Then farther down in the email they say..Please bear in mind the return label has a fee of $8.95. Please find it in the link below: They charged me the shipping to return the DEFECTIVE billfolds!!!! So! A small purchase has turned into a HUGE BAD deal!!

Awful, Awful, Awful.

"I ordered two shirts and two pairs of jeans, neither fit and all four items were so thin and poorly made they literally felt like Walmart pajamas. I contacted customer service only to be told I could return the items but there was no guarantee a refund would be received. Although all four items still have the tags attached and weren’t worn other than to try on. One shirt I didn’t even bother with because the others were so bad and again so thin you could literally see through the shirts. Nothing left to say just, awful. "

Zero Stars

"I placed an order for 4 Capris in the clearance section. The picture from the catalog showed a tight fitting capri. When I got them they were like bell bottoms at the knee. So ugly. I tried to return them based on misrepresentation of the product. Forget it!!! Customer service is brain dead. I sent pictures, it was under review, blah, blah, blah. Then they said sorry no return allowed, and sent me a bogus message about their findings and telling me to send$8.95 to them to resend item or send them back and they would donate them?? What craziness. I don't even know what that means. We e mailed back and forth about 30 times and each message was more bizarre than the last. DON'T ORDER FROM THEM! DON'T EXPECT ANY HELP FROM SUPERVISORS EITHER. I CALLED AND GOT MORE BULL. STAY AWAY FROM AVENUE. "

NEVER AGAIN

"I spent over an hour ordering 21 clearance items for my daughters that came up to $221. I got an email the next day stating the my entire order was cancelled. I called customer service and all that they could say was that they had a computer glitch. Obviously they thought that I was fraudulenty using my debit card or they thought that I would be reselling the items. I have never been so insulted in my life and I WILL NEVER shop there again!!!!!!"

Can I give 0 stars??

"I used to be a manager for Lane Bryant, so I am no stranger to plus size clothing. Wanted to give Avenue a try. Placed two orders. For one of them, I returned 2 items (1 I asked to be exchanged). It took a month and a half for them to even acknowledge that they received them! I am still waiting on the exchange item (not going to hold my breath)! He said it takes 6 weeks for the warehouse to process a return. So, it takes 6 weeks for them to get it, and then 6 weeks to process!? That's 3 months! Insane! On the other order, they cancelled one of the items due to it being out of stock, but they still charged my card and never refunded! I called on 12/15/18 and was told it would be refunded. Fast forward to 1/14/19 and still no refund! They literally took my money and gave me no product! Customer service is a joke! They are a disgrace to the retail industry!"

ONLINE CUSTOMER SERVICE NEEDS ALOT OF HELP!

"I had placed an order on 12/3/2018. I emailed twice asking specifically when it would ship, because it was a Christmas present. The responses I received to both emails were generic copy & paste responses. Never an answer! NOW I receive a generic email stating the order has been cancelled. No explanation, was it out of stock? no NOTHING!

Customer Service needs some help! TALK TO PEOPLE!!! Generic Emails aren't the answer! And thanks for the heads up a WEEK after the order was placed. Won't be ordering from Avenue........ Now to go Christmas Shopping for another gift!

won't return or credit for broken jewelry! lied about return policy

"Would not refund me for jewelry that arrived broken - 3 items broken in one order. Then for the first time in 10 years I returned two items within the return timeframe and they would not accept them! they said I can get them back for $8.95 or they would 'donate' them to a charity in my name! yeah, right, they would resell them for sure. I have spent thousands of dollars there over 10 years and I will never spend another penny. Customer service is horrible! 3 follow up calls and 5 emails to not get refunded for the broken jewelry. I take my business elsewhere and I would say "Buyer Beware' with Avenue!!!

I never had a return until now and I see how they really don't care at all about their customers so they deserve to lose them!!!

Good service unless there is a problem with the email order

"I purchase very often from the Avenue for one of my children. Usually the orders arrive promptly and without issues. Unfortunately, this order did not and it was a frustrating and horrible experience. I ordered a quilted jacket and down coat. The package finally arrived with the jacket only. The bill/receipt enclosed was for the jacket and the coat. I called to tell them that although both items were on the bill the coat was not in the package, but the receipt/bill was for both items..

After a "hold" the customer service person told me it was not in stock and they gave me a credit (no credit or no notice of not in stock was enclosed). A long and frustrating experience, he told me he double checked and it was now in stock and they would send it but it would take 6-10 business days! I told him I had already waited , it was now cold, and to please send it express without charging the $17.95 for expedited shipping. Although it was their error in not notifying me previously, he refused to send it expedited. I finally told him to charge me for it even though it was not my "fault" and they did neither notify me nor send me a credit. No budging and for $17.95 I have written my first negative review of online shopping ever. A disgusting experience. I was in customer service for 4 years and would never treat a good customer that way. Shame on Avenue. If you have any problems do not expect satisfactory customer service.

Waiting for my order........

"Never had any problems with them until this most recent order. I placed my order on November 6th. At midnight it'll be the 15th. No word on when my order will ship. I email customer service and get no response. I asked to cancel my order and get no response. But they charged my credit card! Never ordering from them again!"

Return Policy is the Worst and Quality not so Spiffy

"The return policy is horrible for Avenue. They're super picky about what they will take back and processing time for returns takes a good month. When emailing customer service you should allow at least a week for them to respond to you. And I haven't been impressed with the quality of the clothing either.

I will not be ordering from them again!

Unexplained holes in blouses

"I have purchased two blouses over the past 4 months that have gotten tiny holes in them after maybe 4-5 times of wearing them. I wash them gentle, cold and hang to dry. I will say I have made other purchases over the years from Avenue that have been ok, but quality is not equal to the cost. Done shopping there."
