My Experience: Avas flowers website had flowers available with a delivery date of 5/11/24 for a $9.99 'delivery' fee on top of the $27.99 'service fee'. Then via email on 5/11/24 they said my selection was not available, when I attempted to reselect they said the soonest they could deliver is 5/14/24, which completely misses Mothers Day. When I spoke to customer service, they offered a $12 discount and delivery on Tuesday 5/14/24. Recall, I paid $9.99 for delivery on 5/11/24; so their 'discount' was effectively a $2 discount on the $27.99 service fee. Do yourself a favor, if Paul in customer service says 'a manager will call you back', do yourself a favor and just ask him to leave you on hold.
Now that I am reading the reviews, it is obvious that this is part of the strategy. They are sending your order to a local flower shop and paying a 3rd party call center to take the phone call. I am most upset that I fell for it - should have looked at reviews. "
