"This place isthe worst. I will never buy from them again.

I was looking for some tactical gear and this site appeared to have everything I needed, so I chose to shop from them rather than hitting several different sites. Boy was I wrong!!!!! Even though they "sell" everything they list, they must not carry anything as far as actual inventory goes. EVERYTHING was backordered. Not just one or two items, but every single item I ordered. They'll gladly take your money right away and then a day later send you an email stating that your items are backordered and are exoected to ship in 2 to 3 weeks.

I was like whatever.... and decided to wait the three weeks. The three weeks went by and nothing!!! I contact them and ask for an update. Days later I am told that the merchandise is expected in at the end of the week and will be shipped out as soon as possible. Here I sit 2 weeks later and nothing still.

So here I sit... almost a month and a half after I placed my order and my money was taken. And still I have nothing to show for it. I went to another store at the time I first inquired about the status @ AFMO and ordered the same products. Guess what??? Three days later I had them. SAVE YOUR TIME & MONEY!!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE HUCKSTERS!!!

"Absolutely the WORST experience Ive had purchasing anything online!

Their website alludes that they actually have items in stock. They have NOTHING in stock. I ordered using paypal and they immediately charged my account for the items then sent an email a week late saying the items were on backorder.

43 days later and after numerous phone calls I received a package with the WRONG items! I immediately filed a claim with paypal as you only have 45 days from the purchase date to do so. Im guessing they were attempting to push past the 45 days so there would be no recourse on my end and they would just be able to keep my $$$.

I sent the package back to them and waited another 3 weeks with no refund until paypal stepped in and credited my account.

They are SCAMMERS!!! Dont walk, RUN away from them and dont EVER look back.

"These people are scam artists and bottom feeders of the lowest order. I am friends with a former employee, and they said that it is corporate policy to bait and switch merchandise,and also charge credit cards without having merchandise on order for the customer. Stay as far as humanly possible away from this bunch of crooks and thieves."

"Absolutely the worst experience I've had dealing with an online seller. My boyfriend and I were set to leave about a week and a half after we paid for our backpacks, and we specifically paid extra for two day shipping because of it.

We waited for our order status to change from processing to shipped, since they had already taken the money from his account and we chose two day shipping, but it never changed. So we called the next day and they said that the backpacks were on back order and they would be getting more in on Friday (we ordered on a Wednesday.)

Lo and behold, they didn't appear to get them in on Friday either, since we had checked our order status and it hadn't changed. They also refused to pick up our calls within their business hours. We waited over the weekend, and called AGAIN, this time they said that they still didn't have the backpacks in and didn't know when they were getting them in.

We finally told them to just cancel the order, we were so angry. We have a couple of days left before we leave and we didn't have time to wait for them to get their act together.

Never ordering from this place again.

"I bought the Geigerrig Rig 1200 Hydration pack to go on my backpacking trip in Colorado. I couldn’t decide between a few packs, and the guys at AFMO were helpful. They explained to me the new Geigerrig pressurized hydration. It is working great. I wouldn’t have even known about this pack without AFMO’s help. I probably would shop here again."

SCAM ARTISTS!!!!
I ordered a M240 blue force sling and a utility molle pouch. Both of which I needed before I left for the field. The shipping was supposed to be 7 day ground. I got an email, supposedly, 2 days later saying both items were on back order. I sent an email explaining that I had not got my items and desperately needed them. They sent me an email explaining that it was on back order and told me that the email they sent before probably went to my junk email. I checked my junk email and I did not see any emails from them. I tried to call several times and the first time they had it go to some message machine saying they weren't able to answer their phones due to storm issues. All the other times it went to voice mail after being on hold. I have seen a lot of people have similar problems with these guys and the "oh whoops I guess its on back order" deal. These guys are scam artists save your self the time, money, and hassle. These guys don't care about soldiers and there safety or needs. STAY CLEAR OF AFMO.COM

"Dear AFMO.com,

Thank you for the opportunity to purchase from your website on Dec. 19th. The immediate withdrawal from my credit card gave me hope that I would receive my merchandise in a timely manner. After all, serving overseas with the military, though I am not in the service myself, I do a lot of purchasing online, and no one charges me until the items are shipped, until you.

I was counting on receiving my items sometime around the first of the year, but I did receive the standard backorder notice that many of the people posting reviews also received. Two to three weeks, I can deal with that. Winter is pretty mild so far in Afghanistan.

I like the chat feature on your website. The young man assured me that he would check the status of my order and e-mail that same day, Jan. 23rd I think. No response, so on Thursday the 26th I called. I like the fact that I can call 800 on Skype for free and the young lady that I talked to also offered to give me a status and find out why I hadn’t heard anything yet. She followed through and I did get an email. My three out of 4 items are still on back order.

1. The gloves: just waiting to be included in the package of other items.
2. The jacket and coat: no release date on when I might get those.
3. The plate carrier: not sure, but “maybe” another 2 to 3 weeks.

I sent an email back stating that the order should be cancelled. Somehow someone misunderstood and wanted to send me the $45 glove with $38 shipping, so an immediate reply to that email notification, it was to cancel all transactions and refund my money. I was notified on Feb. 2nd that my order was cancelled, so I waited until Feb. 10th to check the status of my refund. I received another email stating that it would take 10 – 14 days from the date of that email to receive the refund. Low and behold, Feb. 27th still no refund. I sent another email “I am becoming increasingly displeased with your company. As of the date on the email below, I would receive a refund for the items that I placed an order for on Dec. 19th and you were unable to deliver as of Feb. 10th, within 10-14 days. Well it is 17 days and counting. I want immediate credit to my cc of $433.43. I would hate to say that my order was mishandled, but there was a failure on all levels of this transaction. All I can say is the coat and jacket combo, would have been nice to have, had the weather in **********, Afghanistan been any worse than it is. I can't see any reason to recommend your company to any of the soldiers that I am currently working with, or to my family that work in law enforcement.” Jon Comer replies “I am sorry for the delay in your refund. I will take this over to our accounting department and have this taken care of a.s.a.p.”

So here I am fed up and still waiting on Mar. 3rd, soon to be returning home, and my account is short just less than $450. NO one seems to be trying to take care of your customers. Here’s what I am going to do; I am emailing this letter directly to you. I am posting it on a review website, and I am posting it on Facebook. I am asking all my friends and family to copy it to their wall and encourage any of their friends and family to do the same. If needed, I will file a claim with the BBB which they will in turn contact you in regards to this matter. This will lower your rating with them and be posted for all who search about your company.

"I ordered an aviator's jacket before Christmas, they charged my credit card immediately, knowing that they were out of stock. Two weeks later they e-mailed me that they didn't know when they would receive more items. I cancelled order, they said I would receive refund within 10-14 working days. That time has passed, no refund. I will never do business with them again, and pray that no one else does."

"Wretchedly slow, if not outright inept refund process for out of stock orders. I had ordered several items back in Dec 2010, and was told several days later, that they were out of stock. Fine. I cancelled. My Paypal account was supposed to be credited.

One month later, I've doing my invoices and bank statement reconciliation, and to my horror, they NEVER refunded the ~$170 to my paypal account! I communicated rationally and concisely with them, and they were oft slow in response. Finally I was told that a "Check would be sent out" Ooooooook. How long? Why did you not refund me the first time? Is something shady going on here, or is this business just horribly mis-managed?

They *really* need to update their website with Stock Status, process order cancellations better, and issue more timely refunds.

"Placed an order on this site. Haven't received it in time. When i called CS i found out that half of my order is not in stock and i have to wait. Eventually i received the first half. After more than a month they offered a refund. Paid by paypal . They said they will send a check. Already 2 weeks passed. Still waiting for refund.
Costumer service is terrible. A lot of time wasting.

"I like that the site has almost anything I could need. I do wish shipping was cheaper because I dont at the moment need $150.00 worth of gear so I dont qualify for the free shipping option.
