"The EZ-Upgrade Universal product worked _exactly_ as advertised. Their tech support was helpful with pre-sales advice. I was faced with the typical hard-drive upgrade problem for a notebook with a single internal hard drive bay, i.e., the target drive had to be external. Their high-speed USB solution saved me hours of time. Yes, it supports USB 2.0 over PCMCIA on a legacy notebook (like my Dell Inspiron 5000e) using a bootable CD that has loads its own o/s. Very easy to use. Required only 30 min to transfer 20 gig and do a complete clone, bootable and all. I think this is also an excellent way to make "snapshot" backups of notebook computers with data that plays a critical role within an organization."

"The Apricorn EZUSB20 USB Cardbus adapter was the best product I could find, and the Apricorn site had a good price with reasonable shipping cost. They hinted that the order would go out that day, and it did -- Friday morning order arrived Monday morning with $8 2nd-day air -- excellent. I've only had the product a couple hours, but I have a good feeling it's going to work out well.
Here's a couple minor negatives:
1) I received the promised order acknowledgement email within moments, but the shipping acknowledgement never arrived. The printout at the end of the order and the email confirmation did not include an invoice or order number (which is why it's not in this review), so I got a little panic'd this morning that the order might have been lost. An email query about the order was sent relatively quickly, and as mentioned, the order did arrive on time.
2) The metal top of the card popped up slightly, which prevented the card from seating. It took a while to figure out the cause of the seating problem. With gentle pressure, the cover snapped into place. I'm hoping this doesn't cause problems for my client."
