"this is my 2nd time ordering from this company. i bought a module board for my rv furnace. the ordering process was pretty seamless. spoke with someone in customer service prior to ordering to clarify that i had the right part and then placed my order online. it was when i received the part that everything started to go wrong. it turns out that the board was defective upon arrival. after plugging it in, it became clear that it was worse than the one we were replacing. so i called american rv to ask about returning it for a new one and was told i had to call the manufacturer of the part-suburban. i wasn't really pleased with this. i bought the part from american rv. it seems to me that they should honor the replacement of the broken part they had sent me less than a week prior. they had no issue taking my money after all. so i called suburban. suburban told me that i had to take it to a suburban service shop to have it tested to be sure that it was in fact defective (DUH!) and that the service center would then have to go through suburban to honor the warranty. suffice it to say, the service center rep was less than thrilled about doing anything for us. he tested it, found it to be defective and after several calls by us back and forth to suburban we finally got someone on the phone who would listen to what we had been saying all along-its a defective board and we just want a new one. so they sent a new one from suburban. however, since this board went to the furnace that runs the heat for my office, and i live in VT, i sat in the cold while everyone figured it out. i am very disappointed that american rv did not honor their part. i bought it from them, they sent me a defective part and i got the run around to get it replaced. SHAME ON YOU!"
