"I placed and order on April 21, 2010. the sink never arrived. I was notified 2 times the sink was backordered. I began calling the company at this number ***-***-****. They do not return calls. My investigation shows that American Home Plus (on-line) and Atmosphere Kitchen (retail store) and bath are the same company. The address for both businesses is: 618 Columbus Avenue
New York, NY 10024. ***-***-**** rings into real people that do answer the phone. I made about a dozen calls and finally 2 different clerks-ignorant of the situation-revealed both companies are owned by the same people. One of the managers or owners is Tiffany and the book keeper is Megan. In July Tiffany said Megan would issue me a refund by the end of July. The next time I called Tiffany denied ever talking to me. Today I called and the person answering the phone said "Tiffany is observing a Jewish holiday and won't answer the phone". Really?

"I made the mistake of buying through American Home Plus despite the negative reviews I had read. It has been over 6 weeks since my order date and I'm still waiting for a refund on my credit card OR merchandise. Apparently they have one man running their credit department, and he's only there after hours, so you can never talk to him.

I have never written a bad review about anything, but this is absolutely ridiculous. The prices may seem great, but save your time and money and order through a more reputable company.

"Don't buy from this merchant! They charged my credit card immediately upon check out but it took 3 months for them to ship the item. When I tried to cancel, they said it was in the shipping process even tho I did not get notification of that, and I would have to pay a 40% restocking fee! Crazy! I looked at their terms and conditions and I would have had to pay a 5% restocking fee after hitting the "submit" button on their check out. What a rip-off!"

"If you order from this company and return your item, you may never see your refund. It has been eight months since we returned our item due to wrong finish. After numerous emails, phone calls and being told we would have a refund mailed by February 11th, 2010, we have yet to see a dime. I've had it! Next stop is the BBB. Buyer BEWARE!"

"I think their service is decent, but they packaged my Robern mirrors in a spray foam (used for insulation), which is (a) hard to open up,and (b) prevents your from sending back the package in case of an error. I think they do that intentionally, so you DON'T return the item. I told them that, so until they change their shipping policies, I would stay away."

"I ordered 4 house numbers from this merchant and when the product arrived in the mail, one out of four of the numbers was incorrect. It was a merchant error (my reciept was correct, the product was not) and it took me over 3 weeks to get a return number and instructions from them. Their customer service was terribly slow and they never apologized for the error or inconvenience. I would not use this merchant again."

"BUYER BEWARE!!!!! There is a reason americanhomeplus.com has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. Took 4 weeks to receive purchase, & that was due to my constant emailing and phone calls. They lacked communication & would not allow me to cancel my order when I found out it would be another 2 - 3 weeks before it was to be shipped. They wanted to charge me a 40% of the sales price "restocking" fee for something they didn't have in stock. Customer sales people were very defensive & not willing to accommodate customers. Do a search online and you will see I am not the only person with these complaints. Do not order from this company. You can always find your item somewhere else. I learned a lesson the hard way."

"I wanted to purchase an item which was manufactured in the United States, I tried through an English stockist, but they were unhelpfull, and i felt were too expensive. I searched for an American stockist who would ship to England. AmericanHomePlus was one stockist i contacted, they responded quickly and efficiently. Any questions I had were dealt with quickly and items were purchased within budget. Items were ordered and arrived within quoted timescale, and I was kept informed of progress.
I will use AmericanHomePlus again, and will recommend them to others.

"I place an order for a tub that they said was in stock. I called 2 days later to find out when it would ship. They said the warehouse was closed but they sent the supervisor out and he found my order and it would ship on Friday (this was Wed) and I would receive it the next Saturday. I called the next week as I didn't get an email saying it was shipped and and tracking number. They said it was out of stock and it would be 3 weeks for it to ship and that the manufacturer would ship it to them and then 2 week later they would ship it to me. Thought that sounded funny. I called again on 7/23 and was told I would get it 9/17 I asked why they lied to me They now tell me that they don't keep them in stock as they are a middleman and it comes directly from the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer and they tried to find my order but couldn't help me. I looked at their website and they again said they had 2 in stock so I called again. I could tell I got the same guy but I didn't identify myself and asked if I ordered it when would it be shipped and they said 8/27 so then I told them that is funny as I ordered one and I was told 9/17. Just told me he wasn't lying. I called and cancelled the order saying I am going to look for a different tub as I want to get my bathroom done. I have yet to get my refund and I suspect I am going to have trouble getting my money back thank goodness I used a credit card. I was told it had to go to 2 other departments in order to refund my money. I will update what happens. DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!

Well after calling and leaving a message that I know how little time it takes to do a refund (2 Minutes) as I am in business and there was no return to deal with I got a I got a call back that my refund was done on the 27th and I checked today and it is there. So I am done but I will never use them again. That is just plain bad customer service.
