"I would like to thank the Customer Service at
America's Pet Store especially Stan, I had ordered two Manzanita Tree bird stands and had trouble with the delivery but due to a lot of help from Stan (above and beyond what I would normally expect from any Customer Service) everything worked out great. If I ever need anything else for my pets America's Pet Store is the company I will use.

"I ordered a locking dog door on 8/6/08. I returned the item, undamaged and in the original packaging on 08/23/2008. It took several emails and several phone calls to finally obtain my refund over 60 days later. The 'customer service' staff at America's Pet Store kept telling me that it was up to the manufacturer to refund them before they could refund me. In my opinion I ordered from APS not the manufacturer and it was up to APS to make sure I received my refund promptly and was a satisfied customer. Needless to say, I am not a satisfied customer and will not order any products from this company in the future. "

"We ordered a pet booster seat (car seat) for our dogs from America's Pet Store after looking around the internet to find the lowest price. We are very happy with the quality of the item and our dogs really like the booster seat. Before receiving the product I contacted America's Pet Store's customer service multiple times (via email) asking questions about shipping times etc. Every time I received an immediate and very helpful personalized email response. We are very happy customers and would buy from this company again. "

"I was at my wits end when I ordered the PetSafe® Outdoor Bark Control™ (PBC00-11216). My dog, a large (lab/cur mix) outdoor animal, had really started barking a lot; during the night when I would hear him, Id go outside, only to discover that every dog in the entire neighborhood was barking also. I could tell the dog to hush, and that would help momentarily, but he would start again. I had tried the collar that gives a slight shock when the dog barks, but the battery cover had come off...so it didnt work anymore. I decided that it would be worth the $56 to try your product. Oh, my gosh, it worked: it worked right away, it continues to work, it works well!!! Now, Im not saying that my dog never barks, but Id say it has been cut down 95%. I have a friend who had told me, "Aw, that wont work on that dog. Hes too old to break from barking!" I was delighted to inform him of the success of this "cute" little birdhouse that works magic. Thanks for the quiet that your product has brought to my life!"

"I bought the large pitched roof aviary and could not be more pleased. The cage is gorgeous & was a breeze to put together, even with my bad back. "I think this outfit must be someone operating out of their bedroom. I ordered a pet door from Americas-Pet-Store.com and it arrived via UPS from Grain Valley Dog Supply of Bates City, MO. It was shipped in the retail box only and was damaged. I did not try to return it (I figured it would be a lost cause) but I did email the seller and used the shipper's site contact page to ask them about the practice of shipping in the retail box only. Neither bothered to reply. I did make contact with the pet door company, and they at least offered a replacement.

"So this store can actually be contacted by reaching animals etc in NJ. I think they must be a wholesaler that has many websites/names to expand their business.

I recently purchased a double macaw cage from them. When it arrived I noticed that the left door frame was bent enough that i could not connect it to the ceiling of the cage, this was no big deal as my bird was not getting through the space.

I contacted the store and they sent out a replacement one immediately. They asked me to just throw the old door back into the package and resend it to them so they could sell it as a defective, since they included a prepaid shipping label this wasn't a problem.

My only gripe was that they don't advertice that LARGE items go via Yellow Shipping. Since this company uses huge trucks it couldn't fit into where I lived and the company also doesn't contact you to tell you they will be coming through with an 18 wheeler. What you end up with is having to schedule a time to be home in a 4-6 hour period or go to the nearest depo (in my case 30 miles) .

I'm guessing this wouldn't be an issue with smaller items and would probably be similiar to ordering such a huge item from anywhere.

"I purchased an Autopetoasis & Autopetfeeder from this company. After a lot of looking around I noticed they had the best deal on the web and I thought I had made the best decision. Their website looked well put together and easy to use. They have a 30 day money back guarantee and offer a secure website. I, however, failed to look at their return policy to notice that there is no real way of contacting these people; you can only send e-mails and not call, and their e-mails look hokey as though it's all the same person even though they look like a big company.

I received my items and everything was great, except they forgot to include two filters I paid for. No problems though (yet). Great Delivery. Nice packaging. At that moment this company was A+ and I wanted to order another Autopetfeeder.

I didn't like the Autopetoasis however, and contacted them about returning it. Also, I ordered two sets of extra filters and only received one. I sent them a nice e-mail on the 6th about what I needed to do to make the return, and about not receiving the filters. On the 7th I heard back and found their e-mail very unprofessional! I let that go and asked *again* about my filters. I did hear back quickly, but they were still very unprofessional with another cold e-mail. They said they'd send another. That was the 7th. I sent another e-mail on the 17th to let them know I did not receive the filters and asked when I could expect them. They respond with a copy of my invoice without the charge. No note! What did that mean? I e-mailed again and they said they were working on it. It's May 13th, I still have not received the filters.

I wanted to mention that I was going to return the Autopetoasis but I had a funny feeling I would not get my money back or it would be a difficult transaction, so I told them I had decided to keep it. I instead privetly sold it to a friend.

This company would probably be ok if you knew exactly what you wanted (and you actually received it). But if there's any problems they sound like scammers.

I'll dispute the charge with my credit card company, but I wanted to let others know about this store since I couldn't find any ratings about them before I ordered. Hopefully this will help someone make a better decision before placing an order. If I knew, I wouldn't have ordered from them.
