Do not use Amazon

"Amazon is a horrible company to deal with. They allow third-party‘s to sell defective items and then they don’t refund the items or provide customer service. It is best to save your time money and energy and shop elsewhere where you can get good customer service and non-defective items. Avoid Amazon at all costs. In addition Amazon price gougeS on many items"

Amazon closed account for Amazon sending wrong product and claimed customer return wrong product.

"For over 1 year many orders ordered received wrong item and return items to amazon but they took so long to either send replacement order or refund I had to purchase from local store. This last time they ship the wrong item it was return and amazon claims i return the wrong item. I ask Amazon to send me the proof of them sending the right item but no luck, I sent them the proof of wrong item and the receipt I purchase from the local home depot. This website has alot of sellers shipping wrong product to customer and amazon blames the customer. I would not use Amazon for any reason now just shows the bigger you get the wrost you get with due diligent. "

Don't do it. Worst customer service ever!

"Don't order anything of any importance from them. Brutal customer service. When what amazon themselves promise doesn't happen they will pass the blame on to someone else. If you need toilet paper they may he worth using. If it's anything of any importance buy it elsewhere and save yourself the hassle! They don't follow though on their guarantees and their claim of being the most "customer centric" site ever is a load of $#! $"

I used to love amazon

"I used to love Amazon and still buy a lot, this needs to change. When you have a question or just want to speak to someone they may as well be on Mars. Shipping used to be amazing and my Prime membership so worth it. Now I never know when something is going to show up and it varies depending where you live. I live in a big town but I am moving 4 hours away, to another large town but not as big. The difference is one day shipping to my current location (or 2 or 3 as I have found out. They tell you one but it never is anymore), or if I ship it to the address I am moving to, literally 4 hours away it will take 10 days.....what!?! Prime doesn't mean a thing unless you are in a large city apartently. I am talking about Langley vs Kelowna. And spent hours searching on how to ask customer service why this is and what is my Prime membership giving me now....still haven't found an email, text messaging or phone number. Their website is just pre-programmed circular responses that you will never get specific answers to or get to speak to anyone who can answer you. I give up......just looked at my orders pending and two already have that they are going to be late. Guess that is better then just showing up a few days late without telling you, which is often as well. "

Amazon.ca has zero customer support for 3rd party shipments.

"Recently I had a horrible experience with Amazon.ca. I purchased a meat grinder from amazon. The item arrived 4 weeks late. When I opened the package it was not the item I ordered. It was 1/3 the quality and basically useless. On trying to setup a return online with amazon the same day I received it the message said it was no longer eligible for return. (I guess because it was 4 weeks past the original "estimated" delivery date. Then then inform you that they do not handle third party direct shipments and you have to contact the seller directly. I was not informed of this being a third party transaction when I made the purchase. Nor did they say they would not be responsible for any problems with the order. At the time of purchase I fully thought I was purchasing directly with amazon as a trusted online vendor.

As expected the "3rd party" seller located in China is simply ignoring me. Amazon then have a thing they call a to z guarantee that you can use to request a refund in this case. Problem is when you try to submit for this guarantee it sends you around in a circle on the website telling you to contact the supplier because the item is no longer eligible for return. When you look for a customer support number it tells you because of the Covid19 crisis there is no phone support available. It then sends you once again on a never ending circle around the website. On contacting them on their facebook page they tell you the same thing and send you back to the website to do the never ending circle again.

Amazon is allowing 3rd party vendors to use their platform to rip customers off and will do nothing to help you recover the money you were ripped off for. In the face of a world wide pandemic they are using it as a excuse to make money on illegal transactions as I'm more then sure they got the commission on the transaction they refuse to acknowledge.

Never ever again will I purchase from Amazom.ca

Your Package is on its way - NOT

"Ordered a book from them before June 2nd. Three in stock. To arrive on June 4th. Tracking number provided for Intelcom. June 4th Intelcom has no record of the package. My tracking status in Amazon.ca changes to Sorry you didn’t get it. Should be there next day. If it doesn’t arrive between June 5-11; the next day you can come back and get a refund. Knew I would never see the product despite 2 listed available on site. Just waiting for my money back tomorrow."

They have no customer service. You can not connect with them at all. Everything is pre-selected questions and answers.

"Trying to reach out to them to find out about orders I have placed and still after 8 to 10 days the order had not shipped. I was unable to find anywhere to ask the question! I have placed 4 orders in the last 2 weeks. 2 I have cancelled and 2 I am still waiting on shipping confirmations. I am a Prime member."

USING CANADA POST....SO SLOW...UGGH!

"Amazon.ca used to be fantastic. We have an Amazon prime membership and because we live just outside of Calgary were so impressed by the quick delivery right to our door. Suddenly, likely because of the Covid-19 pandemic everything we order on Amazon is being shipped via Canada Post (ugghhhh!!!!) so if it doesn't fit in the tiny box we get a "tried to deliver notice" and we have to drive to the post office in a nearby town the next day, line up (they allow one person in the post office at a time) and wait and wait and wait. I won't be ordering anything from Amazon.ca until the pandemic is over... Brutal!!!"

Horrible has a new meaning

"Amazon. anything is the worse store, and customer service entity on this globe. The store reverts to the greasiest sales practices, and they get away with it because they are, like Wal-Mart, untouchable due to the money they generate and grease hands with. Their customer service is the equivalent of talking to an alien from another planet, and recently they've even thrown their 3rd party sellers to the wolves by no longer showing 3rd party prices, unless you hit the item itself. If you're just browsing, which most people do, they'll only show you the "Amazon prime" prices. They don't have enough that now they even throw the little guy out on his keester. It's just slime, and corporate trash at it's best. By the way, schools should make courses on frustration by having their students call amazon customer service. You could build a whole new University curriculum on this!"

Poor customer experience and service

"Poor customer service

Exceptionally poor customer service. My first purchase and will be the last due really bad customer service and experience. Received scratched merchandise but did not see it until it was fully installed by a professional installer. In fact, the unit was covered in dust when taken out of box. After installation, I wiped it clean and obviously then noticed the scratch and reported it to the customer service with many follow up information and picture they requested and all they offered was a $5 promo offer as a settlement for the damage. This is outrageous and unbelievable and insulting based on large business industry standards. Further, I don’t think their customer service staff are trained to manage these types of situation in a effective manner to meet or exceed customer expectations. I have already cancelled my free 30 day amazon prime membership offer. I just want everyone to beware of limitations when it comes to customer service and provide reasonable solution for issues. Buyer be aware.

The worst customer service I ever had

"The worst customer service I ever had. I have been a regular Amazon.ca customer for many years, it was all right until I had to deal with its customer service. They give you misleading information, offer you refund which you never get.
If you have any problem with product, just return it and get your full refund. Don't even try to keep the product and get a partial refund. You will spend a lot of time and nerves. And will return the damn product after all
