"The faucets and shower head and towel bar arrived on time and in excellent condition. Unfortunately the towel bar was not the right finsh and so we sent it back according to the directions, & it wound up costing more to return it than the towel bar itself!!!!!!"

"Stay away. Absolute Home charged my credit card the day I placed the order. The credit charged showed up on my account as "Home Click." They have very high restocking fees. A wrong item was shipped and it took a week to get a RMA, another week for them to process the order with a new order number, then another 3 weeks to get a status on the shipping. The item shipped to them in 2 days but they took a week to process it. The new order number was not placed online, making periodic calls to their toll-free number necessary to track the order status. Packing was very good for a fragile item. The order took a total of 8 weeks to complete, an unacceptable time in most cases."

"Ordered 2 of the same item (Hose Bibs). Received confirmation of order with order # and my credit card was charged that day. A week later, I checked AbsoluteHome.com website and entered order number and zip code. Error message displayed showing that my input was invalid. Entere my email address and zip and got the same error message. Waited 13 days before calling customer service. Cust Rep answered -- checked the order status. Told me that my items weren't being shipped until 7/23 (20 days after the order was placed). I was upset that it had taken this long to find out a status and asked why I couldn't check my order myself via their website. She said she would alert tech support to have my email address added to their system. Funny that they emailed me a confirmation (and charged my credit card), but their system didn't allow me to chk the order status using it! Will NOT buy from this vendor again. Still have yet to receive my items, and they've had my MONEY since 7/3. "

"In a nutshell: -AVOID THIS VENDOR- They sell items they don't have, and this is not an isolated incident, look at the other Resellerratings by other customers in the same boat.

Ordered a Stinger NoSquito Indoor Insect Trap on 6/2/08

I received an order invoice but no tracking. On 6/9 I went to the site and tried looking up the status. There was none, nor was there any info for this order.

Called their customer support, waited 15 min on hold, they then hung up as soon as the call went to an operator.

Nice huh....

I then called sales, he didn't let me say much, then transfered the callback to the same department that hung up on my call before I said one word. I again waited some time, but finally spoke to a human. (They also resisted letting me speak to a supervisor, I got all kinds of excuses, but persisted)

The supervisor (Breann) told me they don't know why I wasn't given any updates, but they tell me the order will ship in 6 weeks. WHAT? I just looked up the item, and it's still showing -IN STOCK- Maybe they mean in stock with the manufacturer, who the hell knows.

My advise is to order from a different vendor, as this vendor is amongst the worst vendors I've ever encountered. If your a glutton for punishment and like no email order updates, being hung up on without having even spoken a word, a website that cannot give you accurate order information. (I only got the truth after waiting a week, then I called them to get the info that this wont be shipped for 5 or 6 weeks)

Again, if you're a glutton for punishment, Then this site is for you.

To the rest of us that like good service and support, avoid this outfit. There are far better vendors that are not ate up like Absolutehome.com

This is partially my fault, I should have cross referenced this abysmal vendor with Resellerratings, Had I done so, I would have noticed their lifetime 3.12 rating.

I ordered this via Shop.com as that's where I found this item for AbsoluteHome in stock, what sold me was the free shipping, Also at Absolutehome's website, even now they show the item as -IN STOCK-

Yet they think I'm willing to wait 6 weeks for the item to be shipped with not so much as a peep from them that they would have me wait a month plus for the item to be shipped.

YEAH RIGHT!

"Seller did not have the item and did not provide me any notification. I was forced to wait 2 weeks before I was able to cancel my purchase and I missed giving my mother her present on her birthday because of this. Refund was somewhat painless after the two week wait had passed. Seller misrepresented product's availability."

"Good price, but if they are out of stock expect to wait a while. I ordered 3 items in 2 separate orders. The first one ordered 9/3 won't be here til 10/04 at the earliest. The other order 1 item arrived, the other won't be here til 10/23! I appreciate they at least update me with an estimated date but if any of the other reviews hold true, I'll be waiting longer than that. As always, they had a great price so if you've got the time, they've got the money. I'm building a house and out of time, so a month and a half to wait on a shower kit is too long. "

"I placed an order for my microwave 3/20. The company said it would ship 'on or before 3/28.' So I'm having to wait up to 8 days before it ships, but it's a good price. I can wait. Everyday, I check status. Every day, says same thing: 'will ship 'on or before 3/28.' Until 3/28, THEN it says it's back ordered and they don't know when it will be available.
So I call. Here's where it gets nuts. I talked to 2 different 'customer service' representatives and 1 'team manager.' All said that what I experienced was 'the default' (to use their words.) I.e. that they ALWAYS say for this particular type of product that it will ship within 8 days, but only after those 8 days have passed do they bother to check if it's available and let you know that it isn't!! I am NOT making this up. In all my conversations with the customer service people (the manager never returned my call), they did NOT say that the order got screwed up, that things were not processed properly, that this was NOT normal procedures. Instead, they said this is normal. Wow!
Don't waste your time with these people who tell you for a week that something's about to ship, THEN figure out that it isn't.

"As a contractor I have made many purchases from suppliers similar to AbsoluteHome and I can say, absolutely, that they are one of the worst. Delivery times were delayed without my being notified. When I cancelled they shipped one of two items anyway (five days later), citing their policy that they can't promise to be able to cancel, but they do promise to charge a restocking charge if you return it. To top it off they have not yet credited me (six weeks later). They have promised to 'investigate' my credit."

"I was interesting in purchasing a Vermont Casting gas grill from Absolutehome. I sent an email asking information about the grill. A salesperson called me up within an hour of the next business day. "Buyer beware! Many of the positive reviews posted on other sites are highly suspicious. On the positive reviews, everything is checked as outstanding and there is the recurring theme of: "I was impressed. The website needs some work. They have low prices. I will shop here again." DON'T BITE! The better Business Bureau has received over 20 complaints against Absolute Home this year. Check for yourself.
THE FACTS:
The prices are indeed low, but you get what you pay for.
They do not answer emails.
If you call them to check on your order (which you will need to, or you will never receive it), you will be on hold for at least 30 minutes. If you suggest you are considering cancelling your order, they will disconnect you before you can.
They intentionally do not tell you how long your order will take to ship until after your order is placed. For the dryer I ordered, they said the shipping time would be 14-21 days. When I called after 21 days, they said that this is just the shipping time, but doesn't account for the weeks they may take BEFORE they ship it.
THEY CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOUR ORDER, however. This means you are paying for something at least a month before you actually have it.
The dryer I purchased was supposed to be delivered via UPS, but instead it was sent by 2 different freight companies: "New Penn" and "USF Reddaway." They did not call me when they received my dryer. You are somehow supposed to know that they have your item and that YOU must call them to schedule a delivery. They can only deliver between 12-4pm on weekdays, and you cannot schedule a time, just a day with that 4-hour window for delivery. They can't leave it without a person present, and the drivers "do not carry cell phones," according to the woman I talked to schedule delivery. If you would like it delivered on the weekend, there is a $250 charge. They do not uncrate it, nor will they put it in your garage/house (they just dump the box in your driveway).
Save yourself the trouble. Go somewhere else.
