"WHO IS THIS COMPANY? ECOMPUTERDEPOT
I just found something that I thought was interesting about AIPCS. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this yet, but I thought that I should point it out to you. I found a Web Page that is the AIPCS Web Page, but now the company is called ecomputerdepot at http://www.ecomputerdepot.com/aishop.cfm . It is the same AIPCS Web Page, because I've gone through their Web Site thoroughly a few times before. The Company name has changed and all of the e-mail contact addresses have changed to @ecomputerdepot.com and the phone numbers have changed. I haven't called any of the phome numbers yet or e-mailed to see if they are valid, but if this is a company that has scammed people, then I hope that they're not opening up another company to scam more people again. From what I heard, it was their 3rd Party Financing company that they were using that ran off with their money and caused all of the problems with the customers. I ordered several AI Computers from them paid for by Credit Card and received the computers in May 2004. I like the computers, since they use high quality 3rd party Manufacturer, non proprietory parts and are comaparible in price to other resellers. The problem that happened that got me searching the Internet about them, is that I returned for warranty 2 SCSI Hard Drives that were bad and was in contact with AIPCS / AI Computers and then the company disappeared (couldn't contact them e-mail or phone and no Web Page anymore) and I couldn't find out the status of the hard drive repairs. So I was wondering if I would ever be able to get hard drives from them.
I don't like to see a good Business go out of Business because of one of the other Businesses that they are dealing with rips them off and then they can't continue their Business due to the loss of money to them. Hopefully maybe they sued the Finance Company that had ripped them off and restarted the Business under another name because of all of the problems they had with customers complaining about the Finance Company. They had been in Business since 1993 supposedly, so you'd think that they would be a good Business.
What does APEX think or know about this?
Have to check out this ECOMPUTERDEPOT and see if they are valid and maybe I can get the hard drives now, but you'd think that they would have notified me if they changed their Business name. Just hate to run them out of Business again if they're struggling to get back, because everyone is going to complain to their new Business about the problems that they've had with the old Business. You'd think that after the Lawsuit with the Finance Company, if they had one, that the Court would have setup a place for all of the ripped off customers to go to and be able to claim the money back that they had been ripped off. I thought that I should post this just in case this is another scam because it looked so weird. Good Luck to you all and hope that maybe someday you can get your money back and we don't get ripped off by any other companies.

"It has been a year now. And I'm disappointed to say that I am one of those that also got scammed and never got justice. Lambros Ballas is a man that I, like you all have gotten very aquainted with. I'm a college student with little funds as it was who needed a pc for school. I found their website AIPCS.com and tried to get financing which I was approved for. I talked to the finance dept. (Lambros) which sent me my paperwork which I promptly signed and mailed back. 2 wks later, still no computer and I called L.B. and he told me, "well, you didn't send your downpayment to us". There were no instructions to send a downpayment in the forms he sent but I went ahead and sent another letter with a check for $209 ($150/dp and $59 ship). Another 2 wks later - no response no computer. The online status never changed from pending. A few months pass by, and after numerous phone calls and runarounds and excuses, I finally got ahold of someone who told me that I should fax them a letter in writing to cancel my order so they can refund me. This is Sept 2003. I faxed it in. Waited and waited. Nothing. Called back many times and got hung up on, busy signals, "Lambros is not in today", power outage, etc. Finally got a hold of someone who told me that refunds are handled by "a third party not AIPCS" and they don't take care of that. Ok, so now I'm really lost in the shuffle. By February 2004, I actually had a glimmer of hope. I open my mailbox and low and behold, a certified letter from AIPCS. (No check however). There was a claim form for a refund in there and it ALMOST looked like they were gonna make things right. Boy was I wrong, because it is now July 2004 and despite sending the claim form in (probably the 3rd I've sent) still never got anything to this day. I have contacted BBB and Dateline. So far, I've lost hope and I hope someday, Lambros Ballas will get his for conning people out of their livelihood. (I had explained to him previously that I was a student and had spent everything I had on the downpayment for the computer). "I Have Placed an order Back in Junei Gave them a $400 Down Payment. after 3 months they tell me that there are proplems with my financing and they want me to send them another $300 so they can send me the computers. so i told them to cancel the order and send me a refund. that was since september. since then i have Been floding their e-mails with requests for my refund, i filled alot of claims i have floded thier fax machine with the claim form and still no money was issued back to me. I have contacted the BBB and AG I hope this is Resolved"

"I'M A MOTHER OF THREE KIDS, I SENT MY DOWN PAYMENT OF $192.00 I HAD DECIDED THAT I COULD NOT MAKE THE MONTHLY PAYMENTS THEY WANTED SO I ASKED FOR MY DOWN PAYMENT BACK AND THEY TOLD ME TO FILL OUT A CLAIMFORM. WHEN I WENT TO THE SITE TO DO THE CLAIMFORM NOTHING CAME UP. "This company is a scam!! I to have been taken by this company.They cashed my check and money order on june 30 i have seen nothing!!When i call i get the run around no one seems to know anything about my order or when it will be shipped.DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!On a good note though i found a honest computer maker in NY they are putting together a rent to own service for gaming rigs.Im not talking about dell and gateway crap im talking about ass kicking gaming rigs.For all of you that have been taken by aipcs try www.route14computers.com they have great prices and you wont get scammed!!!Tell em danott4 sent ya!!"

"I have been doped to I ordered a computer.Sent the 364.00 for the down and processsing fees. Since my order. I have been unable to get any of my questions by phone and emails answered. I have been lied to and spoken to unprofessionally and hung up on. Llambros Ballas has gotten beligerent with me, how dare he since he got his money and I got no computer. As a business owner my self, If I were to treat my customers the way AIPCS does I would be out of business and be in jail.I have done some research and contacted TECH TV who did an articale about AIPCS and their computers also I have sent email to PC Toys and contacted the NEW YORK ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE and THE FERDERAL TRADE COMMISION. "Have any of you heard of the troubleshooter, Tom Martino. He has a nationally broadcast radio program. He is a consumer advocate. He will bring national attention to AIPCS and Labros if we can get him to hear us. I submitted my complaint to him, but if we can all bring our complaints to him, we will create a louder voice; not only for him to hear but for other consumers to hear.

"This company may be legitimately selling computers to people who place credit card orders with them, but their financing department is a complete scam. Do NOT order computers from this company. They immediately approve anyone and everyone who applies for financing, request a 10% downpayment + processing fee, and then you never hear from them again. Phone call after phone call after phone call and if they will even bother to talk to you, there is always some excuse: their sales reps left early, they are in meetings, their systems are down, they can't locate your order in the system, etc. I understand in August, they were feeding people the excuse of power outages. Now, mid October, they are feeding me the same excuse. That's some power outage!

They took me for $334 and I have NOTHING to show for it and no explanation. I have sent a request to cancel the order and asking for my money back.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST. Tell everyone you know about the fradulent business activities they engage in to help prevent others from being suckered in by their scam.

"LAMBROS NEES TO BE IN JAIL. I HAVE READ OVER 100 COMPLAINTS ALL THE SAME. eMAIL LAMBROS, HE'S NOT IN, FAX YOUR COMPLAINT, EMAIL YOUR COMPLAINT. 4 MONTHS LATER HE HAS BLOCKED MY EMAIL AND MY TELEPHONE. SORRY FOR CAPS BUT ITS SICK

OK Great news update....well Lambross himself has taken the time to write me 5 emails threatening me, and even enviting me to new york to "do something about it" well today I recieved a letter for the US Postal Inspection Service where I filed a complaint.

They said "Charges will be filed depending on the number of complaints he has" so everybody file with the US Postal Inspection Service. That seems to be the answer finally. EVERYBODY WRITE THE US POSTAL INSPECTION SERVICE, THEY GET RESULTS BECAUSE LAMBROSS IS PURELY A SCAM AND THEY ARE FILLING CHARGES.

"In August we were approved for financing through AIPCS by Lambras Ballas. We were promptly sent the finance papers which we signed and sent in $259.00 for a down payment and $59.00 for shipping. We were told that it would take 10-15 business days and then the order would be shipped out. Upon checking our tracking # status on the web we noticed that it never changed after 15 days. So we called. We were then told that we would have to email the finance department, which we did....numerous times and never got a response.
We have called several times and each time asked for Lambras, he always gives us the run around and will not give us a straight answer. We have been calling every day for 2 weeks now and he refuses to give us any information. When I told him if I didn't get an answer that I was going to call the BBB he said if I did that he wouldnt send the order out until the whole thing was resolved. He has hung up on me several times and will not give me the name of his superior saying that "HE IS" the Facilities Director and there is no on above him. At on point I asked him if he knew what the word FRAUD meant.....he said YES....boy little did I know! Any kind of insite or advice would be greatly appreciated so that we can get our money back.

Update September 26th,
I have still not received my downpayment back, and it has now been 24 days since the date indicated they would do so.
I have also written to the US postal service, they also sent a letter to AIPCS telling them they have 30 days to reach me to "satisfy" my request for my money back. I am to send this letter back to them in 45 days stating whether or not I have received my money back. Still no word though form AIPCS.
I highly recommend contacting the US postal service as well, visit the site listed above for a link to the US postal service, as well as other links to other government agencies that will try to help us out.
Also at the site above will be a link going to Tech T.V. they did a review of the AIPCS custom racing system, it doesn't have any details as to whether or not it works but it does state its take on the computer appeal and price, take a look at the site above to go to their review.

"Update: 26 Sept 03
I have been calling over the past couple of weeks to find out the status of my order. I also have been sending email to the finance department. The only time I received any indication as to when I would receive my computer was when Lambros Ballas told me that it would ship on Sept 04. It never shipped and I have received no emails, no letters, and when I call nobody can give my information. Yesterday I informed them that I complained to the BBB, the IFCC and the US Postal Service Inspectors. I received an email today that stated this
"Sir,

The order # 3145 HAS BEEN ADMINSTRATOR REMOVED:

THIS IS DUE TO HARRASMENT OF AIPCS EMPLOYEES.

Your account is considered:

CLOSED STATUS.

You will receive a refund of your deposit."
It is AIPCS that is hurting people. I am urging people not to buy from this company and if you have received the same kind of problems that many others are writing here and at other web sites to file a complaint with the USPS Inspectors. The more people that file complaints, the more evidence they will have to act. This company should be put out of business because of what they do to people. I will post here if I really do get my money back but I am not holding my breath.

This company has the poorest customer service I have ever experianced. It is impossible to find out the status of an order. I do not believe they ever intend to send anyone a computer that they order. They will tell you that you are approved for financing and give you a credit limit. After you order your computer they will repeatedly lie to you about the status of the order or give you no information at all. After months of waiting I have given up. If anyone is really expecting to get a refund from them I would not hold your breath. I have issued a complaint to the BBB and I am in the process of contacting New York's attorney general to seek releif. I hope these individuals go to jail for fraud.
