"I never write reviews but I decided to write one about abc gift cards because of all the one star ratings. I googled if this company was legit because any website reselling gift cards seems a little sketchy to me. I saw all these one star reviews and I was almost scared off because I wasn't sure if it would be worth the risk to save 5% (~$10) on an online purchase at Macy's. I figured worst case scenario I would just dispute the charge with my credit card company if I didn't get a valid gift card. So I went through with it and got like $190 I think to Macy's and paid the difference on my card. The email with the gift card code was not immediate like I would have liked but it did arrive within 15 min. I bought the gift card to save a few extra bucks on something I was already planning on buying, so after I received the gift card code I immediately applied it to my cart and checked out with no problems. I could see how people would have issues if they didn't use the gift card right when they got it because the person who sold it to the company could have written it down and redeemed it. And if you're outside of the 45 day guarantee or whatever abc cards wouldn't be likely to give your money back I'd imagine. Bottom line for me I'd probably use this company again if I was planning on making a purchase over $100-200 to save an extra 5% or so, but be sure to redeem the card the same day you get it to avoid getting scammed. "

"The website was down one evening, only giving an error message at checkout. 3 different credit cards were charged $1,280, without producing a sales receipt. The next morning, the cards were sold to someone else, and ABC said that I had to PROVE that I had been charged these amounts with full financial statements. I filed claims with all three credit cards, and ABC refunded 2 very quickly, but decided to fight for one charge none the less. I eventually won.

Meanwhile I decided to use some Discovery Channel giftcards, which drew a red flag from the Discovery Channel. ABC claimed that they had already warned me that these gift cards were going to be a problem, and that it was now my problem."

"I've ordered two Vans shoes gifts cards, no problem. I've ordered a Chiles Gift card, no problem. Bjs brewries no problem. The only problem I had was with a company RUE21, they will ot take the E-gift cards in store. They say because they have been resold, even though I mentioned what difference does it make to them. Either way someone paid for those gift cards. Anyways, still shopped online at rue 21. Beat the system. I don't know why other people are having so many issues, sometimes it's the user. "

"Really disappointed. Purchased a $50 gift card for Darden Restaurants. It arrived by email and I printed it out. Just to make sure I checked the balance online and it was 0.00. I'm really glad I didn't wait to find this out at the restaurant. Obviously, they do no validation of the gift cards on their own.

I called in and instead of offering me a comparable gift card, I was merely told sorry and that I would be receiving a refund in 2-3 business days. Really? That's how they treat your new customers? Doubt I will be doing any business with them any time soon."

"I was told by the restaurant that I had presented a stolen card. I had to show proof of where I purchased the card or they were calling the police. This is fraudulent company that deals in stolen goods. Unless you want to risk going to jail, go elsewhere."

"If I could pick 0 stars, I would. This company fails to vet their cards. I purchased a Dunkins Giftcard not knowing that I could not add it to the Dunkins app. My bad. But ABC failed to mention that I cannot have the e-card scanned at the store. (NO QR Code) They have to enter the number manual every single time which can easily take 5-10 minutes each and every time. They should vet their cards to see if the card has been add to the owners app just like other giftcard companies do. If it has been added, they don't purchase them. Simple as that. But they failed to do that and now I have to be that guy that backs up the line at Dunkin. THIS **** !!! Never again ABCGIFTSH*T.com"
