Sham company

"I had an issue a few months ago when I placed an order and they swapped my brand of contacts to their brand. I just used them up. When my wife went to place an order on Oct 18, it still had items in the cart from a previous order. When she clicked submit, she immediately realized what had happened and we called to fix it within seconds. They said they already shipped the product and that there was nothing they could do. I spoke with a manger who eventually said she would credit the $713 overcharge if we would send back the excess. She didn't. She did send a return label and we sent the contacts back. They received them according to the tracking number on Oct 28. It is now November 2 and we still have not received a refund. For 16 days they have had our $713 and now they say they have issued a refund, but it can take 3 to 10 business days for it to process. This is absolutely unacceptable. "

Just a suggestion...

"Just a suggestion.... But maybe don't change my order to something that i didn't order, and then proceed to accuse me that i didn't in fact order them, when i have a confirmation email showing that i did... and on top of that, refuse to correct the mistake.

Furthermore, they then just tried to up-sell me on what i originally ordered but for a full year, AND tell me they'll now get here in 2 weeks. That's way too late. I ordered these a month ago so i could have them on vacation. Now i'm out of contacts, or stuck using these overpriced contacts i didn't order, because i know that they constantly rip. (I've worn contacts for 20+ years, and the ones they sent me are garbage).
And now will have to wait 2-4 weeks for a refund, for items i didn't... purchase.

There's no excuse for trying to make a customer feel like they did something wrong, when the mistake was made by the customer representative who completely changed my order without permissions. Just a suggestion. They are usually excellent on response, feedback, and swiftness of customer service, which i still quite admire. But there's no excuse for this lack of customer service. You can do better than this.

Buyer beware

"I ordered multifocal contacts not realizing they were Toric. The script stated Toric so my fault. They called my doctor to verify the script and if I needed Toric or not. They verified that I indeed needed Toric lenses, then sent me regular multifocal "non-toric" lenses anyway. I called the same day. The representative told me the Toric lenses are more expensive. I paid the difference immediately over the phone. He said the Toric lenses are in stock and he would have them overnighted and I'd receive them the next day. Five days later still no lenses I finally called and the representative stated they are backordered and I wouldn't receive thenm for another five weeks. FIVE WEEKS! No glasses. Now no contacts. Can't work 'cause I can't see. But they kindly took my money."

Feels like a "scam" even though it is a huge corporation. Did not have what I paid for.

"Like many of the other reviews here, my experience was very disappointing and costly. They sold me contacts that they did not have. There was no notice or warning of a backorder. Finally, when my shipment didn't arrive, I spent a couple of hours trying to find out what was going on with my order. The Chat feature was miserable and froze up on me so that I had to start all over again. When I finally canceled my order because they did not even have my lenses, they were very vague about when I would get my money. "

Atrocious Customer Service

"They have decent prices and contact selection but customer service is atrocious and shipping times can be very slow. Communicating with them is nearly impossible. It's like communicating with a robot that can't think for itself and just repeats the same thing over and over again. To resolve any issues, good luck! Fixing problems is not their forte. They will just keep repeating sorry about your problem and we have a gajillion percent satisfaction guarantee and then proceed to do nothing."

Buyer beware

"BUYER BEWARE
Uploaded rx, rx shows on my account and auto fills info for order, place order and pay for expedited shipping because I need ASAP.
9:30 the night before contacts are supposed to arrive, I get email saying Rx hasn't been "verified".
Contact company through chat. Inform them rx was uploaded before order was placed. They say they need Dr's info and can't explain WHY they need it when they have Rx already on my account with all info on it. Then they tell me they will remove rush shipping charge but I can't get them for 4 more days. I say I'm not satisfied because I need contacts tomorrow but fine, I guess.
THEN I get a text telling me my order has been CANCELED!
Texting with new agent - oops, looks like you're order was accidentally canceled - shall I reorder for you?
I share my frustration about their repeated mistakes and am offered a "discount" - of removal of the expedited shipping fee that never happened (whaaaat? Gee, thanks) - and still no contacts for 4 days. I share my shock that they are calling the removal of the rush shipping fee a DISCOUNT and tell them it is now MIDNIGHT, I need to be sleeping, and I'm done. Now that it's been over 2 hours, they offer a 20% discount... would I like then to charge my card again? Then they'll just have to verify my Rx tomorrow but still can't get my contacts to me until Monday (they were supposed to be here Friday). At this point, I trust NOTHING they say and suggest they send this order free, in order to preserve not only my business but my husband's, which has been long-term... but you can guess how that went over. So, they've cost me DAYS - probably more than a week - since I'm starting over now with another company AND wasted well over 2 hours of my time.
Use my experience as your guide to SAVE yourself a lot of time, hassle, frustration, and energy!!

"Most of the time i have a good experience but today was different. The woman i spoke to was rude and had something wrong. If you're in customer service and you're having a crappy day, go home or pretend to be happy. I empathize, but I shouldn't have to deal with your crap."

Most amazing customer service ever. Free shipping & discount for lenses!

"I just ordered two Biofinity boxes for my eyes (January 4th).
It only took them a week to verify my prescription, and today I went in to order a pair.
On the top of my order were the two lenses I initially put in the cart ($50 per box)
And at the bottom was my prescription adjusted for astigmatism (around $68.99 per box)
I went ahead and knocked off the pricier ones thinking that the top pair would suit me just fine - and received a call VERY promptly from Danielle at customer service.
She apologized for the extra cost (since my eyes had asti
And in return - since I expected a cheaper cost - gave me free next-day shipping and 20% off my order, so the total came out to only $110!!!
The phone call came literally minutes after I placed my order and Danielle was so sweet - arbitrarily lowering the cost and giving me free shipping was amazing!!!
This is an excellent company I would recommend to anyone anywhere!!

SCAM

"I ordered 2 - 6 month supply’s of contacts.
I manually typed my prescription in as well as my doctor’s information.
They took $208 dollars out of my account and said my Order will be shipped in 7 days.
Shortly after I received a notification that my order is held up and I’m required to take a “free exam” via app in order for my contacts to be shipped. I reluctantly end up taking test which could never be accurate in first place, then I am told it’s being reviewed.
An hour later I receive another notification that the order is cancelled all together and to call customer service. The first call I made was with a man who said in regards to the test “contacts are extremely regulated and we cannot sell them to just any one” I didn’t understand but I had no problem taking my business elsewhere. I told man on phone that my account does not reflect the cancellation and he informed me I’ll receive my money back in 7-14 business days.
After I called my back to release hold I was informed it wasn’t a hold and I’d have wait for a refund. So I called customer service one more time hoping she could either fix the previous order or refund my money manually on her end. She told me reordering the contacts would work but I’d have to shell out another $208. A risk I was not willing to take again.

Any positive reviews are fake.

Sent wrong script

"Ordered contacts from the for the first time and they sent wrong script. Come to find out they could not read doctors hand writing on script....never called to verify and now I have to send them back and pray for my money to be returned. I will stick with ordering directly from doctors office."

Great for contacts, not so much for glasses

"I love my contacts! I was running low and liked my prescription and didn't want to have to go to the optometrist and go through the long process of the yearly exam and consult, just to get the same exact contact prescription. So I tried this for the first time and it was so great! The prices are great, and on top of that, I got the $25 rebate. And I love this brand of contacts even more than the ones I previously got from my optometrist. 10/10 for contacts!!

I went ahead and did the glasses exam as well because I hadn't updated that prescription in quite some time, but I found the glasses prescription unwearable. Customer service was amazing and I ended up ultimately trying 4 pairs of glasses, but I returned them all. Great for contacts, not so much for glasses. I'll definitely be back for contacts!! :)

Great customer service

"I have ordered from 1800 contacts for three years now and they never disappoint. I recently got a special promotion if I ordered contacts I got a pair of glasses for free from lingo. The cs rep took care of everything for me, since I didn’t have my eye glass prescription she called my eye dr. And got all the information to forward to lingo. That’s taking care of your customer!! Going above and beyond. "
