"Tried to order a laptop from dell.ca, when it came to payment page, I entered my debit MC (which I used multiple times to order from dell.ca before). The page said it was declined.
I contacted customer service and the agent said he will look into this and get back to me. Never did in a week so I gave up on the order.

Fast forward 3 months, I placed another order and this time it went through. After the payment was accepted, I got another email and text saying it failed, although the order page says it was accepted. I contacted my bank and they confirmed they received nothing and my card is valid (and I also use it weekly with other vendors without any problem).

Contacted dell customer service again, and they didn't really seem to care or help or keen in getting any sales. The CS agent admitted they have random problems with their payment gateway. I later decided to cancel the order, and this time they were more than happy to help and even phoned me back to make sure my order was cancelled. They never asked why did I cancel it nor they cared.

It's amazing how this outfit went downhill like that since 2-3 years ago. Their customer service used to be good, ordering used to be easy and products used to be reliable. Not the case anymore. Reading more reviews here, I think I made the right decision about cancelling my order with them seeing the horror stored from customers wanting to repair or return the product. Good by dell.ca..!!"
