The Essential ****!

"I ordered a lounge chair 3 months ago still waiting for it even after an email after I complained said it was getting ready to ship. What a joke!! The other chair I ordered same thing still waiting. I’ve emailed numerous times and it takes forever to respond but that really doesn’t matter because they tell you whatever they think will appease you at that moment. Apparently food items are pretty much the only thing you may get in a timely fashion if it’s in stock. "

"Placed and order. No email confirmation. After a week of not receiving a tracing number I log in and the order says "call customer service to verify the order" for which I never got an email requesting to call cx service. No phone number on website. I send and email. Email says to call and has a number. When I call, rude Tom says that the emails were sent and the item is out of stock and I may have to wait up to 10 days or more. He hangs up on me. They ruined the gift for my daughter. No wonder Amazon is eating all those useless small tetailers. "

"I purchased some very hard to find replacement items for my Braun Epilator. In fact, it seems that TheEssentials.com is the only e-tailer to carry these types of items. Strangely enough, it was about 50% less than what I would have paid directly from Braun. The shipping was swift, 3 days approximately, and when something was backordered, they didn't charge my card until it was shipped. Overall, I am extremely please with TheEssentials.com and will continue to purchase from them."

"I ordered the Crest Whitestrips that The Essentials advertised was buy 1 get 1 free. When I ordered, the website said that the white strips were backordered and they would be shipped in 3 weeks. Today, I got an email canceling my order that follows:

"I placed an order for two Braun 7781 replacement parts. Both the items were on back order. I got prompt emails about the status of the order and was sent an email with a tracking number each time both the items were shipped.
They said both parts would take around 3-4 weeks to be in stock but they were both shipped within 2 weeks of placing the order.
Shipping was free via USPS parcel post and though they said it takes 7-10 days got both the products within 3 days of shipping. Price was the lowest online and overall I had a very nice experience.
However as mentioned by another customer below, the customer service lady sounded quite rude and in a hurry (though she answered my query). I little bit improvement on the customer service reps would make this vendor perfect.
Overall a very professional experience, would highly recommend it.

"I recently made a purchase from the essentials.com and after looking for the part for the coffeemaker on their website it directed me to order a certain product. That product was incorrect. The carafe was the wrong size when I received the product. When I called customer service to get the correct replacement part, the service rep informed me that I would have to pay to ship the incorrect part back to them because it was my error in ordering the wrong part in the first place. I explained that I merely typed in the type of coffee maker and the website popped up the supposed replacement part. I added it to my cart and took care of the payment process. The service rep then transferred me to another person and he again reiterated that there was no proof and that it was strictly my error and that I was responsible for paying the shipping to return the incorrect item. His tone was very rude and I informed him that I was very unhappy with the website and extremely unhappy with their customer service. I will never use their site again and I will be sure to tell everyone I know to not use their services. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being good service) I give them a 0."
