"I placed an order on May 14th, because I obviously didn't do any research on the company like an idiot. My package, like everyone else's, is marked "awaiting fulfillment" even though their shipping details say that it should have arrived last week. I have sent them countless emails, messaged them on their website and facebook with no response. There is no phone number listed, and right now I'm just in a waiting game to see what happens. Absolutely do not recommend this company."

"Well. I don't share some reviews here. I ordered, after I placed my order they contacted me I should consider going with a size bigger with that particular sized. I listened to their advise. My order arrived a couple of days later. Their recommendation about the size was right. Couldn't be happier."

"First thing first: I ordered boots from this merchant and they were delivered, as promised. It's pretty pathetic that this kind of bare minimum service needs to be mentioned explicitly, but non-receipt seems to be something Ssencia.com struggles with.

However, only going by my experience, they still aren't worth five stars and I definitely wouldn't shop with them again.

The reason? Their customer service is TERRIBLE. If you need to contact them directly, you're out of luck, it seems. There is a customer service email address (with a cute little, "We respond promptly :)" description to add insult to injury) but I emailed it twice, with no response. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I emailed them on a holiday weekend, but going a week or more without any response (even a form, "We have gotten your email and will get back to you") is unacceptable. They have a chat feature that I didn't try - there was no one online whenever I checked. You can leave a message, since they refuse to respond to their general email, I doubt any messages would be seen to. There is no number to call, either, which is a HUGE red flag.

There are numerous complaints on their Facebook page, many of which are months old. Only one has a response from Ssencia. I wouldn't count that as a normal avenue for customer service (and I didn't try getting in touch with them in that way, either), but it's worth noting as well, especially since the running theme of the posts are, "I tried to email you and no one's gotten back to me!"

All in all, I'm utterly shocked that my boots came at all. I was contacting them to cancel my order, with no response and they went ahead and shipped the boots anyway. I haven't gotten to try them on yet, but I hope they fit - I already know that trying to organize a return with these people would be a pain, considering their previous unresponsiveness.

If you're looking for Dr. Marten's, don't bother with them. I can only go by the reviews, but even if all the satisfied customers opted not to back this company up, the number of people who were scammed is too high to ignore.

"I placed my Order May 16th...it is now June 13th and it still hasn't shipped...however, it looks like they haven't charged my credit card yet. I am probably going to have to call my credit company and have my info changed and get a new card just in case they decide to charge it in the future. But what about those people who pay with money orders...they probably lost their money!!! Who know how many victim there are!! Someone should shut this company down for good...waste of time!"

"Phony website! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE!
Bought a pair of Dr Martens on Jan 18 and like the rest of you who wrote to warn others about Ssencia: no package, no response to emails and no refunds! They're so intent about conning ppl to purchase that they actually replied my enquiry at 1st on the courier charges, but no replies from the same guy after i sent 4 chasers about delivery status after purchase. I have already filed for dispute with my credit card company.

"Thumbs down!!
I placed an order jan 27 th and as the order status kept on saying 'awaiting shipment' I emailed them 3 times and NO ANSWER so far.
I am furious.
I 'm even more cross about the poor customer service than the delay (delays happen).Playing with people's trust and money is just inacceptable.

"ordered some dr martens darcie boots on the 28th january 2012 still not recived my boots from them and its been over three weeks they never sent me an tracking number from usps have sent so many emails to them but they just refuse to anwser back to any of my emails beware buyers do not shop with this site has they will only con your money and not send you your items."

"I placed an order on 12/6. Ssencia sent UPS electronic notification of the shipment yet never actually provided UPS with the package. I have sent five requests to this company for status. I have not received a response to any of my requests. No package! No refund! No response!"
