Ad was misleading. Was not made clear that it is for a notebook or laptop computer. But since it is not too small, decided that I would keep it. However, the USB dongle does not work. The LED light flashes about 30 times then there is no light at all. Removing dongle from USB ports and re-inserting (tried several ports), did not improve matters. Same thing happens again. Replacing batteries did not help either."

The problem came from the status link; when I checked the status on 28 Jul, it showed "Shipped", even though it didn't actually get shipped until almost a week later (3 Aug). "My initial contact and opinion of you were very good. The merchindise or what I thought was the item I was looking for was in stock and the shipping was fast. However, once I did receive the turntable it wasn't what you made it out to be. I was not aware of the extra things(Like stereo speakers needed to hear what was being played) needed so I could use the product for the reason I purchsed it for. In short your product was misreprecented. It does however, work at my friends house as he has the extra stereo speakers. Had I been able to hear through my computers speakers I would have kept it and given you a very high rating. Since I can't you will be receiving it back and I will be asking for a refund. Thank you "
"So far I am very happy with retrevo. They processed my order and shipped it out very quickly and without going through any errors or retypes. At this time I am very unhappy about the representation for the product I ordered. I feel it was not advertised honestly because it did not mention the fact that you had to have stereo speakers tothen hear what was being played on it. However the quality when played on my friends speakers was very good. Since I don't own any stereo speakers, I'm afraid it is of no use to me so I will be sending it back for a refund. " This was my first order with retrevo and I can say that I am not, just satisfied, but completey overwhelmed with the value of the product I purchased and also with the time it took retrevo to ship my order to me!!!! It is hard to believe that they can provide FREE shipping on anything that you order from them, I spent a whopping $9.99 and the shipping was free! This was for a product that retailed for $39.99! I used to work at a comsumer electronics repair facility and can tell you that every piece of equipment that comes back in because of malfunction is not only repaired to company standards, but tested and gone through better than they are off the production line! I have never had a problem buying refurbished electronic components, because of this fact! And, I do believe, when you purchase a refurbished item, you still get the same warranty as if you purchased it new. I can't swear by that, as different companies have different policies.
But I can tell you every piece of refurbished electronics I have purchased, from anywhere, have always wrked for me, and I have NEVER had to use the warranty, anyway.
In a word, the best thing I would say that you get when buying from retrevo: value! And value is something that most people are looking for in the economy that we live in and buy in today!
