"Completely UNACCEPTABLE customer service.

First shoes ordered 2/2/11 on line. Paid for expedited shipping. Received wrong color shoes. Called customer service on 2/10 after opening shoes of the wrong color and they said they cannot expedite me another pair the correct color, even tho it is their error, and I must wait for the return of the shoes to send another pair. Customer service says it can not expedite shipping from an affiliate's warehouse.
SO WHY DO YOU LET A CUSTOMER ORDER IT ON LINE IN THE FIRST PLACE AND CHARGE ME EXTRA FOR EXPEDITED SHIPPING IF I WILL NEVER GET THE SHIPMENT EXPEDITED?????????

Waited from 2/11/11 until 2/24 to receive the replacement shoes. Opened them and again, the same wrong color.
Called customer service and was told that that's all the other warehouse must have in stock, so that's what they sent.
I ask, IF I ORDER ORANGES AND YOU ARE OUT OF ORANGES, YOU JUST SEND ME AN APPLE INSTEAD?????? YOU DON"T NOTIFY A CUSTOMER AN ITEM IS OUT OF STOCK OR NO LONGER AVAILABLE??????? YOU JUST SEND ME A DIFFERENT COLOR AND THINK THAT IS GOOD ENOUGH?

Customer service says over and over that that's all they have, so they must not have the origInal color anymore. WHY WOULD A CUSTOMER NOT BE CONTACTED TO TELL THEM THAT WHAT THEY ORDERED IS NO LONGER IN STOCK?????

And the customer service rep I spoke to could not understand that this is a problem. She said basically, it is what it is and this is how we do it. What a horrible, horrible flawed system if this is how they handle an order. I mean, could she not have even offered to contact the affiliate and ask what is going on with this? The fact that the problem was just 'blown-off' is a total lack of customer service as well.

I would never be this angry if I had not been mislead. Mislead with expedited shipping on something there was no possibility of expediting. Mislead on an item being available, TWICE, when it is obviously no longer available.

And this wasn't a $20 pair of cheap shoes we are talking about.... these are $130 pair of Dr. Martens that I now am going to go purchase at Zappos instead. Even if this color is no longer available, I would rather buy a different style from Zappos than to let Planet Shoes keep my money. They have already kept enough of my time, waisting 3 weeks of back and forth over shoes I was never going to receive in the first place.

I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER order anything from Planet Shoes again. I intend to make it well known just how poorly Planet Shoes handles their business.

"I ordered 2 pairs of shoes from here for myself and I'm happy with how everything turned out. Normally I'm not fond with their selection of shoes, but I did manage to find a few that I did like and looked better in person. Shipping time was mediocre but then again, it's free shipping. I did have to return a 3rd pair of shoes once since my friend didn't want them anymore, and that turned out to be painless.

If you do need to return shoes though, make sure you print out the return shipping label the minute you request it onscreen, because there's pretty much no way to go back and print it again if you missed it the first time.

"I purchased two pairs of boots from PlanetShoes.com and I was really happy with my experience. First, I got the boots at a great price. I shopped in their Outlet Brands and found some great Michelle K boots that had been discontinued, and then I shopped according to popularity and found some really cute Blowfish Boots that were also offered at a great price.

Their item views are excellent - you can see all of the details of the shoe or boot and the checkout was easy. I could have used Paypal and they have a variety of payment options and a secure checkout.

I was also really happy with the shipping. I ordered on a Wednesday and my boots arrived on Friday - so fast - and FREE!

I'll be ordering from PlanetShoes.com again.

"Great quality and delivery. I used Google Checkout, and they were not very efficient at getting my payment to Planet Shoes. It's hard to find Earth Shoes these days, and nothing like them! Planet Shoes has an amazing selection."

"I have ordered from Planet Shoes 3 times and I am getting ready to order again. I have ordered online and I have ordered by calling Planet Shoes.
Both options are satisfactory. Planet Shoes is a reliable company with great customer service. I have purchased 4 pairs of shoes with them with excellent results. Do not hesitate to give them a chance. If you have to do a return, they credit your account in a timely fashion and when you call customer service, you actually get to talk to a real person!

"I was looking for a certain pair of sneakers that I used to have when I was a kid. I had a really tuff time finding them but I came across PlanetShoes.com. They had my size in stock so I decided to order. The shoes arrived in less than 4 days, which was really nice especially since they give free shipping. I had a question about the shipping and they actually picked up the phone first ring and was able to answer my question with ease! Highly recommend"

"Order arrived nine days after I ordered it. Their website says 100% in stock guarantee orders ship if not the same day, within 24 hours I got a shipping conformation e-mail a day before order was received but eight days after I ordered. Called to cancel my order several times but Planet Shoes would not return my call. e-mailed them three times and never got a response."
