"The customer service here is pathetic. I purchased an amp with a remote level control. Shipping was very slow in the end I received the remote level control 1 week after I received the amp. When I installed everything the remote level control didn't work properly. I contacted customer service about the issue and they wanted me to jump through all these hoops to return a $19.00 part. Instead of wait on shipping two ways, I purchased a new remote level control to save time. When I got that, I connected it and had the same issue. At this point, I contacted customer service about the problem with the amp. I was informed that I would have to send it in, they would send it to the manufacturer and go from there and that the process would take 4-6 weeks and that did not include shipping time. This is an amp that I just received, it's not like I've had it for two or three months and am suddenly having a problem. It's bad out of the box and this company could care less about customer satisfaction. If you can find what you want elsewhere, pay a little more, you'll be better off in the long run. I can promise you that."

"horrible customer service. they messed up my order and basically told me i would have to pay $100 ( for shipping) to fix a $10 mistake on my $300 order. i don't understand why they couldn't just send me the right part without me paying to ship my HEAVY order back. everyone told me not to buy from there, but i wanted to save the extra $10 so i did anyways. take my advice and everyone elses and buy from somewhere else that supports and cares about their customers, not a place who is rated 1 star out of 5 everywhere."

"I wish I had seen this site before I purchased from onlinecarstereo.com! WHAT A RIP-OFF OUTFIT! I bought a car stereo deck from them, turned it on and it HISSED AND SMOKED. Contacted "customer service" and was told that I will not get a refund and that I can ship the unit back at MY EXPENSE and that I should insure the shipment. Then, when they get around to it, they'll send it to the manufacturer for replacement or repair. They said this process takes an AVERAGE 6-8 WEEKS. So I get to spend more money hoping to get a unit that doesn't catch fire, and I can wait 2 months or so to get it? REALLY???
I then wrote a polite but not favorable review on the product and service, their automated response said my review would be checked by onlinestereo.com before being published to the website. Needless to say, it didn't get published. I thought it was strange that so many of their products had "no reviews." I suspect they DO have reviews, but they don't get published unless they're positive.
DON'T DEAL WITH THIS RIP-OFF OUTFIT!!!

"Company sells tampered products described as "new" with serial numbers removed. Customer service is a poor excuse for the lies, manipulation, and deceit they actually deliver. Please, avoid this company and save yourself the time, money, and hassle."

"This is the worst online organization that I have ever purchased a product from. I have literally made over 1000 purchases online and I'd yet to receive the total lack of customer service that I experienced with these virtual con artists. My problems began when I placed an order with them for a Kenwood head unit, a Power Acoustics amp, a Pyle compact subwoofer and vehicle specific mounting kit. My order was immediately processed, as all items were allegedly in stock. I was sent invoices for my items, along with tracking numbers. I received the first part of my order yesterday, only to discover that the most expensive piece in my order was not shipped (yet I was billed for it, even though both their website & packing slip state that the customer will not be billed until the product ships). I immediately emailed them informing them of the missing item from the shipment. Then I decided to call them this morning, regarding the missing shipment. I was informed that the missing item was being shipped from another warehouse (theirs) and that I would receive a tracking number shortly. This afternoon, I received the 2nd part of my order, yet my missing item still was not included in this shipment. I immediately called them only to find the customer service desk closed at 4pm (PST were both located in CA). So I decided to pretend that I was interested in placing an order for my missing subwoofer. I asked if the item was in stock and where it would be shipped from. I was informed that my sub was in stock and that it would ship from their Vernon, CA warehouse. Then I asked where the hell my sub was. I was immediately given the same run around that I received from them this morning. No tracking number and no disclosure as to which warehouse location my order was being shipped from. I immediately requested an RA (return authorization) for my entire order. I was told that I would receive an email from them with shipment return instructions. Instead I received a PR piece from them discussing "out of stock items" and asking me to contact them to find a suitable replacement for my missing sub. So I promptly called my bank to discuss On Line Car Stereo's fraudulent billing practices. My bank stated that they will issue me a full credit for my purchase, with the next twelve hours. Let's see how Online Car Stereo likes it, when the shoe is on the other foot! "

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE GUYS....you have been warned. I wish I had read the reviews before I made that mistake. Ordered a car stereo that I could not find anywhere else. This company showed that it was available. I ordered it and it sat in my account as "not shipped" for several days. I called many times and couldn't get through to customer service. Finally someone answered the phone and cancelled my order. I received an email stating that the order was cancelled, but my credit car still has an authorization from onlinecarstereo. Emailed customer service several times asking that it be removed - no response. To date...they are still holding my money. Despicable company - STAY AWAY! If you read the reviews and you still order from them, you deserve whatever they dish to you."

"I read the reviews here after I ordered and was concerned. However, I called and was told that one item was out of stock and would have to wait a few days. The next day, my profile showed the items had shipped. They arrived today, less than a week after I ordered them. Both were in sealed boxes and appeared to be brand new. Prices were good and shipping was not expensive. "

"These guys deserve all of the negative press they get. A most unprofessional business. I just bought 2 amplifiers from them. One of them was defective and had a occilation sweep with no input and the engine off. I have been installing car stereos since the 80's and know how to trouble shoot. Since I had only had the amp 9 days and just installed it, I called them. As soon as I finished explaining the issue some young kid blurts out, "It's the way the amp was installed". Sounded like he read off of a cue card. I explained to him I had many years of experience and it was indeed faulty and I needed an RMA. His response, "Please hold." I waited 10 minutes and nobody every came back. I called back and the next person told me he went to the warehouse! So, you just slap the customer on hold and walk away? The he out me on hold. I see how you people do business. I called back 4 more times and each time got slapped on hold without anyone ever saying "hello!". Then I go online to check reviews of this company and found nothing positive. Wow. I really should have checked here first. Then I read about someone who returned their defective item WITH an RMA and never got a refund or a replacement! Tell ya what I am going to do. I am going to keep the amp and assume I am out $140, but I promise you I will cost them a lot more than that in lost sales. I will post this on every car audio forum I can find.

"DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE! They showed a great price of an AMP I wanted, ordered it, and my card was charged right away. 4 days go by w/o any shipment, then I'm told the item is out of stock and I need to pick something else.

I refuse and ask for a refund. No communication from them for 3 days. I had to get Google involved to get my money back. THEY ARE SCAMMERS! They bait you with a low price on an item and then do a switch on you. I'd give them 0 stars if I could.

"These guys are horrible. Terrible customer service, terrible "Risk Management" group. I ordered my headunit ($1300) and subs ($400) from them the same day I bought my amps ($1000) and components ($400) from Sonic Electronix Thursday 4/11/2012. Sonic calls me the next day, validates my credit card information, shipping address and promptly ships out my order. OnlineCarStero sends me a link to download a "credit authorization" form... I needed to scan my license, credit card, front and back and email it back to them. I get it to them Friday afternoon, 4/12/2012. They sit on my forms and orders... I repeatedly email their customer support and risk management group for 3 days straight, then they finally call me and tell me the headunit is out of stock. So I tell them to give the next model up, which they did and finally shipped it out 4/19/2012 (yes a full business week later). Then after asking what the status on my subwoofers are they email me on 4/20/2012 telling me they were out of stock... These guys are terrible. The $5-$10 dollars you save with these guys is not worth the hassle of ordering anything from them, Trust Me. I will NEVER give them any of my business or cash again."

"If you think about ordering from this company don't bad customer service and everything you buy will be on backorder I bought 4 boss audio speakers, wiring kit and boss audio stereo they said it was shipped on 03-10 gave me tracking # got it on 03-13 but only got 2 speakers and stereo called up on hold for 15 mins got tired of holding called back again and again and again and again till got a man on phone sd manager not available asked again I want your manager sd manager is busy told them been holding for 15 mins to talk to manager the man hang up on me so I left message for manager no call back filed complaint to the BBB"

"TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Placed order on March 1, 2012, got email stating that it shipped. It didn't ship, it is on backorder!! Yet they state on their website: We will not charge any amount to your credit card until the item actually ships.

Well, guess what, they charged my credit card. Just got off the phone to dispute this charge with my credit card company.
