"When someone go to clearance section a person who attend customer from stores looks always for branded cloth wearing person to choose as his customer so he get some money for the day but let me tell you a person who is not well dressed also will sped his money to get lot of furniture to his home ,when the stores furniture are in clearance section you should expect people not hifi you should expect for middle class people will bit it .service people should not look for people well dressed or not they should behave and attend all kinds of people in same way .one who is not dressed up as hifi I saw many people booking for new furniture from your clearance section don't see for there dressed up part you will lose customers .you guys hesitate to even come and attend who is if hifi dressed up Right."

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

"The WORST customer service EVER for delivering my appliances! The driver never called me all day. He did not use the gate code to get in as stated in the delivery instructions. And absolutely no one at the NFM store notified me. Took off work all day with my phone by my side waiting...for nothing. I was told, after being put on hold for 55 minutes, that the driver drove by, saw the gate was closed, and left and refused to return. NFM lost a longtime customer and also lost money, because I told them to keep the appliances and received a credit. Stay away from NFM! If they cared, they would have made the driver return and deliver my expensive appliances since he was still in the area. "

Terrible customer service and no manufacturer defect warranty

"Bought a tufted rug from NFM for $700 and all of the edge tufts are pulling out super easily and it’s falling apart after only having it for 6 months. They blame the beater bar on my vacuum but my other 12 tufted rugs have never done this. They told me to reach out to the manufacturer because they wouldn’t so I did that and the manufacturer called NFM and said they won’t do anything either. NEVER GOING TO NFM AGAIN!!! Also they said it was on the truck at there warehouse in May and then it apparently didn’t show up until August."

Poor quality appliances and poor customer service

"In 2020, I purchased $??k worth of upper end appliances for our new home. All appliances were installed in October. By January, 3 of my 7 kitchen appliances needed repair. My dishwasher spinner broke off which took 4 weeks to get replaced. My ice machine was not producing ice and my beverage cooler was not cooling. I called to contractor sales and spoke with a representative, whom I worked with at different times for each of the issues and he helped me with all of the issues that were occurring. I was told by this representative that I needed to come pick out a different beverage center because he had been receiving calls about similar issues with this model. Because of all the issues he went to upper management who he stated approved placing 5 year extended warranties on all of the appliances that were purchased as a way of rectifying all the recent issues I had. Shortly after all this my dryer quit working and I had to have it repaired. So within 4 months, out of 9 new appliances, 4 of those appliances all needed repair. Absolutely ludicrous to have so many failures. So now, one year later, my ice machine, once again quits working. I called to find out what warranties I had and who to call. They claim to have no records of such an offer. They can see where I called with all of the issues on the appliances but no extended warranties exist. When I spoke with management in the contractor sales department, I was told there was nothing that could be done at this point. Really???? High prices paid on what should have been quality products to be inconvenienced multiple times for repairs to find out promises were false and none existent and nothing can be done to rectify multiple issues. EXTREMELY DISSASTIFIED WITH PRODUCTS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE."

Prepare to Wait

"I have used NFM a few times since they opened in my area, but since COVID they have changed. I placed an order for a living room suit last Sept (2020). The delivery date was slipped several times then COVID hit hard and the dates kept slipping. The living room suit was American made, leather and full power for a Loveseat, Sofa and Recliner. Finally in late May (8 months later) I our set was delivered, but the Recliner was non-functional. A tech checked it out and suggested to replace the Recliner. It is now July (3 slipped dates later) and I was just informed the delivery has been slipped to Sept 2021 (no delivery guarantee). I have called NFM customer service and get a wide range of concern; from "you'll get it someday, or send the whole set back" to "I will call the factory and check", one even gave me a hundred dollar credit. Calling the factory seemed a no brainer but no one called the factory for 8 months they just passed a slip date to me. I'm saying there haven't been challenges since COVID but NFM should be honest when people purchase large ticket items (>3K). The store "buyers" need to work the suppliers better, get firm dates not just keep pushing out dates one to two months at a time. I am not a happy customer and frankly can't recommend NFM for furniture purchases. "

7 deliveries not enough to provide an undamaged set

"I purchased a 2 and 3-seater couch set from NFM in early March. Two months later, after 5 replacements and 7 couches, NFM has only been able to get me 1 flawless 2-seater. The other 6 were all damaged during transit or delivery.

Delivery workers are not provided with moving straps or much of anything to protect furniture with besides blankets to put on the floor (which they don't always use). Some have been insulting, one hit on a woman in my community while on the job, pausing to try to get her number, and another swore all the way up the stairs.

Another order I made in March and picked up also arrived damaged and missing parts.

After this many issues, I can only conclude that this is systemic. There are only so many replacements customer service can process before this becomes painfully apparent (kudos to their willingness to try though). I've never had such persistent quality problems with any company.

NFM has extensive information about this issue already as I included half the company all the way up to the CEO in my correspondence after resolution kept failing. They graciously offered a whopping 10% partial refund for this mess, realizing they could not provide a product in new condition. Clearly not an excellence or customer-focused organization. Profit is priority.

BEWARE BEFORE YOU SHOP NFM

"BEWARE! DO NOT shop at NEBRASKA FURNITURE MART. They do not stand by their product. My family purchased $5,000 worth of furniture in May 2019. We opted in to the Gold Plus warranty package from Guardsman for all the items we purchased. We also opted into a 5year service agreement for our Elliptical from Assurant. We submitted a total of 4 claims to date (when we wrote on a piece of paper, the indentions carved into the desk; loose screws on the arm rests, wobbly chair, and the leather was peeling on our glider). All requests were decline by Guardsman for one reason or another. They would not budge on accepting any of the claims. But when we were in the store purchasing the furniture, we were told the warranty package we had covered everything and we never had to worry about a thing. We were really upset about the leather peeling for the recliner. We specifically told the sales man we wanted real leather. He first showed us a glider that was $300 and we knew that wasn’t real, so we reiterated that we only wanted to see leather gliders. The salesman showed us a glider that he said was real leather, it was priced at $800. We bought and now that it is peeling, we contacted Nebraska and requested that they replace it with what we purchased, a real leather glider. They declined and offered two choices; receive ½ of the money back or allow them to fix it; but if we fix it, we will never be able to use the warranty again on it. If it peeled after a year, it is going to peel again. So we are screwed either way. We called for service on our Elliptical twice and Assurant was unable to find a technician both times. They ended up refunding the cost of our Elliptical, which I am not sure why, but they still charged us for the $349.99 for the 5 year service agreement. When I called and asked why we still have to pay for this, since they can’t service the equipment item, they said the contract has been fulfilled and they will not refund the charge for the service agreement. Terrible customer service and terrible quality. I was weary about shopping here, I should’ve listen to myself. "

Poor Warranty, Customer Service, Process with their vendors

"Our recliner had an electronic issue that needed a part replaced. We utilized Guardsman (Warranty that we bought at NFM for $149!) and found out that the process is long and drawn out to get anything fixed. Call Guardsman, they get someone to your home to look at it within 2 weeks. They send the request for the part to Nebraska Furniture Mart and then you have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for the part to be shipped to NFM. Then NFM ships the part to you, then you have to contact Guardsman. Plan on three months to get it fixed. In my case, the Guardsman rep ordered the WRONG part and it has no been going on 6 months that we have not been able to use our chair. NFM Customer Service never follows-up or calls back. We call every other day and sit on hold for an hour before we can even get through to a customer service rep. Constant run around. I physically went there and was told that there is nothing they can do.

I spoke with a Customer Service Manager today and she now tells me the part is in their warehouse but it is lost! I am at my wits end with this place!

Here are the issues:
- The process between NFM and their vendors is ridiculous. There are barely any service level agreements to get things expedited.
- Customer Service does NOT follow-up with you to provide tracking numbers etc... Hold times are over 1 hour.
- If the part is small, it gets lost in their large warehouse.

We spend around $9K on furniture there. I will find someone else who will actually stand behind their products and get them fixed in a timely manner.

Misinformation

"I bought 2 full size beds from Nfm. The price and beds are great but when I asked about carry off of old mattresses I was not informed that didn’t take stained mattresses before I paid an extra $97. Was told in store that they would bring them inside and set up. Delivery driver yelled at my daughter that they wouldn’t take the old mattresses and they couldn’t bring them inside. Not happy at all. Will not go back "

No items in stock. Sales associates lie to you!

"On 3/13/20 I purchased some kitchen appliances. Britton Wood told me that all of my items were in stock except for one and that it would be ordered from the Des Moines Warehouse. He told me these items would be delivered on 3/18. On 3/16, I received a call from Nebraska furniture Mart telling me that all of my items had to be ordered except for one and that the new delivery date would be 3/20. I believe that Britton Wood lied to me in order to make this sale. I tried to order a different appliance set, but these items also were not available and had to be ordered. On 3/16, I was speaking with the different sales associate and called her back, but received no answer. I left my name and number with her, but she never returned my call. I will never order from Nebraska furniture Mart again. Horrible customer service, no items in stock, and sales associates that will lie to you to make a sale and sales associates that refuse to return your calls."
