DECEPTION AND/OR INCOMPETENCE

"Ordered 2 bilge pumps online because 1st pump was incorrectly identified. Intermediately requested cancellation of 1st pump. Did their online cancellation procedure, called and left message and emailed them. This was 5 minutes or less after the order. Next day my credit card was charged for both. I called customer service and was told I was too late and the part had been shipped. Paid for 2 day delivery (took 5 days). Turned out the part had not in fact been shipped for 2 days after the cancellation request"S". Have gone round and round with customer service. They transfer me here,no answer, transfer me there, no answer. I have made so many communications with these people over a $63 part. I do not do reviews, but felt compelled this time. Part was cancelled June 28, 2018 and it is now July 23, 2018 and no resolution. After receiving the part, it took them 2 weeks to send me a return slip(where I had to fight for with them for it for a week or so, which they said they would deduct the cost from my refund). What refund. Talked to them today(on hold for 20 minutes and finally left message. I did get a call back and was told the tracking no. indicates the part will be returned tomorrow. By the way, its always tomorrow with them. Now I'm told it will be sent to the parts dept. for inspection and I should see a refund in a week from the time the parts dept inspects it. I order online almost every day and this is the first negative review I have ever given. Yes, they are that bad. I probably won't see a refund anyway. The effort I have put forth is crazy for the dollar amount, but it is now personal. F'n thieves. "

Don’t use iboats

"I ordered a part they said I would have a tracking number I never received one. I contacted them about getting a number still no reply. After a week I contacted them again no reply still. A week later my part arrived. 2 days after that they sent my tracking number. I wrote back telling them the great experience I had with my purchase. Now they are sending me other people’s complaints with there name what they ordered and part of their credit card number. Hope the next guy that gets people’s personal info is honest also."

Fraud

"I ordered a ladder for my boat through this website iboats.com. It charged my account. And I paid for 3 day shipping hoping to get it sooner than standard shipping. It’s now 6 days later so I go to check the status of my order and they said I have not made any orders but yet they charged my account. I will be calling the bank in the morning to report them for fraud. This is not ok. DO NOT USE THIS SITE!! There is a reason they only have 1 star. "

Garbage company

"Ordered item online, paid with PayPal, agreed to shipping charges. Next morning get an email stating the item needs to ship via freight for $138 additional cost. Cancelled order. Buyer beware of this company. To complete a transaction and be charged shipping in that transaction to be told it has to ship another way, they should NOT be online as this is a SIMPLE database adjustment. Switch and Bait."

"Ordered on Monday was assured it was in stock. Its now Friday and they told me they were waiting on it to be shipped to them so they can re-ship it to me. WHAT!!??!? No tracking numbers, no shipment and deceitful tactics. Go elsewhere for your marine needs"

Taken Advantage Of

"The company iBoats advertises a price match guarantee to its competitors, and I have successfully placed orders with them in the past, so for the purchase of a marine ac, I decided to use them. I called their customer service line on a Monday, and talked with a customer service representative. The representative told me that they could not see the shipping price of the competitor, so they could not do a 1:1 price match, but offered a $200 discount from iBoats price if I wanted to go ahead and order. I said that was fine and proceeded to place the order with the representative. The price of the item with the discount was $1309.28 with an additional $31.07 shipping and handling with UPS Ground shipping. The total amount was $1340.35 and I received a order confirmation email and saw the charges on my credit card. The order was supposed to be delivered on the following Thursday and it never arrived. I thought it might just be delayed and decided to wait another day to see if it showed up. The following day (Friday 2/2/18) I got an email from a customer service representative saying their warehouse wanted to ship the item freight, and that if I wanted to receive my items, I had to pay an addition $218.93 plus $50 if I didn't have a lift gate. I called their customer service and kept getting the same response. I was told that their systems did not indicate that it was supposed to ship freight (I have screenshots of their website today that still shows UPS Ground and a price) and that if they paid for the freight shipping, they would go below cost of the item and they can't do that. They reiterated that I only had the option to pay the additional amount, or cancel the order. I asked if they could use a different shipper and they told me know and that I had to pay the additional freight. Only being given two options, which I expressed I was NOT satisfied with either, having no other choice I told them to cancel so I could get my money back and shop somewhere else. I feel like my bought and paid for item was being held ransom. I feel like it would be one thing to say you could price match the item but then get a quote for shipping later, but this didn't happen. I bought and paid for an item and shipping only to find out after the delivery date that I would have to pay more money to get it. This is wrong and I am frustrated and feel taken advantage of. I-boats Not a Good company and Horrible shipping

"08-11-2017 bought a bimini top and s.s. fittings upgrade for 1987 2150 Bayliner BR (boat picked on their site) for $ 449.59. and later a stainless strut brace kit.
08-23-2017 drove to US (Montana Shipping) to pick bimini and was told box was all broken and to check contents (sent by UPS). Only frame was in there - No Sunbrella top or stainless hardware - Horrible packaging and freight handling by UPS. Brace kit was ok.
Called I-Boats and they sent another Bimini for the same boat (Their Website selection for the boat) on August 26. Finally received replacement but weather inclement to put top on boat.
Today Oct 16 I went to fit top to boat and found they send the wrong deck mount for the top. For this boat that they have you choose they sent top mount deck fitting. The manner this boats side windows curve in I would have to cut at least a foot and half of the three top bows to possibly make it work. That would narrow the entire Sunbrella top immensely. The frame, however, goes exactly to the sides of the hull and if they had sent side mount fittings they would have worked.
I phoned the company and the girl checked with the boss and they would not send me the proper mounts unless I purchased them. She said I should have measured. I told her that I ordered this top according to the specific boat listed on their web purchase site according to their instructions. I was told they made no exchanges and that It would cost in excess of $ 40.00 to get new ones. This experience went from horrible to not too bad and back to horrid again. You order to a specific boat as per their web site and they send a generic package and then tell you that you should have measured. The boat frame is exactly the width of my boat to the outer edges of the hull so I would have measured to the identical dimension.

Ripped off, wish I had read the reviews first

"Recieved a transom saver that was not long enough, they said the picture is only a representation. Ordered the correct one & paid shiping to ship the wrong one back, now they won't except it because the packaging was opened & damaged, the blister packaging was not perfect, but it was not damaged like the pic they sent me. It was not pleasant talking to them.

False Advertising

"I have ordered what was advertised as being a color match for my boat with a gel coat. When I received the order it appeared that it might be a match but upon actually using it found out that it was much darker than it should have been. I tried several times to lighten it up with white gel coat mixed in and in the process used most of the first bottle which is very small and expensive. By the time I figured what I thought was close I was into the second bottle ($30.) each I might add. I called the company and indicated that what they are selling as a match isn't close the right color which they have advertised it as being.
Their response was if the bottle is UN-opened you can return it. Okay, let me understand what you are saying, you advertise a color match and I cannot tell if it is a match without using it and now you will not compensate for the bad product. I explained again the product is not what they advertise and something should be done for the customer to correct the problem....answer again after checking with supervisor is sorry if you have opened the bottle you cannot return it and we cannot do anything for you. Judging from my experience and others I don't know how a company can stay in business while selling products that don't match what they advertise...do you? Product: Spectrum Sea Ray Oyster White 85-89.

DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING

"Items with pictured parts are not what they send. They practice deceptive advertising by showing you a simple assembly, but only send you part of the assembly. Its just DECEPTIVE AND SLEEZY. After wasting my time on the phone with customer service, i chose to return all the products i purchased and not give them any business at all. They know the pictures are deceiving, and play off that to sell more product. Lame way to do business iboats. You ****. "

AVOID this reseller

"Worst reseller I've ever dealt with online. Forget trying to get help when you call in. It's useless given they need to reach out to vendor and wait for a response. Very poor follow up on their end. I absolutely do not recommend this Company."

TERRIBLE SERVICE

"I ordered a product on 07/11/2017 with an expected arrival date of 07/17/2017. Item never came. Called several times and usually get a message based on my order #. Put in for a call back and was told they have no idea what was going on with order, but would look into it while I was on hold. Magically, I was disconnected with no return call. Any other number I call they tell me that I have to call customer service. And of course, they charged my credit card as soon as order was placed!!"

Don't waste your time!

"Warning! Don't buy from this company! They will charge your credit card and then won't ship. My order was placed on June 19, 2017, it was supposed to ship on June 26, and delivered on June 30th. I've tried calling several times but can't get any information. Find another vendor."
