" I was very unsatisfied with my experience shopping on www.fye.com I purchased a Lord of the Rings Trilogy on DVD for a pretty good price. However, 3 weeks later they finally inform me that they are cancelling my order for a pricing mistake. This would have been fine if they did it within a week of my purchase, or if they hadn't told me the reason for delay was that it was out of stock (when I ordered it showed to be in stock.) I will definitely not shop with FYE again."

"They suck. No word on order for 2 weeks. I emailed and asked what was going on. They said item was "out of stock" and would be shipped when available. The item still showed as "In Stock" on website with a higher price. A week later they cancelled my order and said that there had been a pricing error. They gave me a 10% coupon that was only good for 12 hours on their website. Not sure why they felt they needed to lie and string me along. Horrible business practices, customer service flat out lied to me!!"

"got the usual run around. in process, OOS, looking, can't find = OMG - it must have been a PRICE ERROR, so we have to cancel. 3 weeks later! a couple other people got theirs in 2 weeks. I've given up. If it's not an ancient release, they are not reliable at all"

"Finally after 3 weeks (placed on 01/05/2007) they emailed me saying my order has been cancelled. This is a second time they did it to me. They also cancelled my order without reason on one of my other orders that was placed on 12/24/2006. No reason was given. Pathetic service.
I will never buy from them again and wouldn't recommend to others also.
Shame on you fye.

"FYE has unacceptable business practice.
They let my order go through, waited for 2 weeks and when I emailed them to inquire about my order, they said it was out of stock and they are trying to process it ASAP. While in their website the items that I ordered are INSTOCK. They lied!!!... a day later they emailed me back to cancel my order saying there was a pricing error.BS, they should have emailed me a day or so later telling me about pricing error. I am a first and last time shopper from this store. "Stay away from FYE!!!!"

"A deal that was posted (and widely known) for a month before my order was determined to be a "system pricing error" three weeks AFTER my order. This after notification just days before the cancellation that they were still working "hard to ship your item(s) to you." Other people received the item for their orders placed before and after mine. Something's not right here!"

"FYE had a DVD sale. I purchased a DVD set on January 4th. I had to contact them 4 days later when I hadn't seen any movement on my order only to find out that it was "back ordered". I received about 3-4 emails telling me that they would ship the item as soon as it was in stock. Yet, the item said "In Stock" on the website. They told me numerous times via a scripted email that their site was updated every 24 hours. Yet, my item said "In Stock" for more than 2 weeks. On January 24th, they sent me an email telling me my order was cancelled and that it was a price mistake. This was after they had already said they would ship it once it was in stock. After this experience, I will never buy from FYE again. I already was avoiding their sickening prices in the stores. Who has a DVD on "sale" for $19.99? Only FYE! "

"Ordered LOTR box set. Three weeks later still no shipment. Tried to email customer service 3 times. NO ANSWER. Found their customer service number by chance. They said they'd check on it and that I would receive my shipment as soon as it was in stock because it was on backorder. Couple days later got an email saying the same thing. I was okay with waiting although not very happy. Then 3 days later another email with them cancelling my order due to pricing error. OH! But some customers got theirs! So I don't believe FYE one bit. It doesn't take 3-4 weeks to then realize a pricing error. No more business from me. Nor at any of the other stores Transworld owns like: Sam Goody, Suncoast, Wherehouse Music, etc...

"Ordered the product (Lord of the Rings Trilogy - DVD) based on slickdeals.net posting. After 22 days, FYE sent me an email "apologizing" for the "pricing error" and stated that they WOULD NOT HONOR the price that was posted on their website and that I had paid. They offered a 10%-off coupon as a replacement. A LOAD OF CRAP! They used some lame legalese to bail themselves out. As far as I'm concerned, it was a bait-and-switch or some other type of unethical practice. I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!!"

"DO NOT DO BUSINESS w/ FYE.com. Ordered on Jan. 4, got an e-mail two weeks later that they were "still looking for the item" as it was not in stock. Meanwhile item showed in stock on their website and available for order at a higher price. Order canceled 3 weeks after original order date because of "price mistake". Lures you in with low prices and then renegs 3 weeks later. Terrible merchant."
