"This is a review of evitaminstore.com. I had a bad experience. They were slow to ship the order. The order was placed on 11/3/10 and did not ship until 11/8/10 via U.S.P.S. Priority Mail. After e-mailing them about it and mentioning a problem with finding info about my order on their Web site, they did respond but only addressed one of the issues---about when or if the order had shipped. They gave wrong info according to the U.S.P.S.

I asked them to respond to my question about not being able to get info on my order from their Web site and pasted info refuting the ship date by the U.S.P.S. I never heard from them again.

I finally received the order on 11/12/10.

I would not choose to order from them again.

"4/9/2010: I ordered a much needed supplement from eVitaminStore and had it shipped to our Postal Store. I accidentally listed our Post Office Box as 326 instead of 328. That combined with the fact the order was placed using my maiden name, confused the store clerk and he returned the product.

19 email correspondences and at least 3 voice mails took place between eVitaminStore and me attempting to get tracking, and a reshipment up until July 15th.

On July 16th Laura (I presume Weber of Customer Service) responded asking for full name and address to reship product.

As of today, I began recounting from 7/16 and am up to 23 emails (∧ one voice mail) with absolutely no response. I even sent Laura an eGreeting in the hopes of fostering some kind of good will.

The Better Business Bureau (where eVitaminStore currently holds a D rating) is involved and are awaiting response from their final letter to eVitaminStore.

Absolutely NO response from customer service since 7/16. I've posted requests on Twitter and FaceBook as well. No reply. This is HORRIBLE customer service and from what I have researched now on the web, seems to be a modis operandi for this company.

I want the product I order or I want a refund immediately. I intend to utilize all means available to me in order to get a resolve in this matter.

While I am sure there are customers out there that do receive the right product and get it timely from this company... the way in which they deal with their challenges shows the TRUE nature, the atmosphere and morals of this company.

Next steps are National Consumer Protection Bureau natcpb.org
Then filing a Police report with my local PD.
And after that, filing a complaint with Internet Crimes (a division of the FBI).


Update:
It took just over SIX months of repeated emails, phone calls, and complaints both online and to authorities for eVitaminStore to cut me a check for what I had paid.
I actually emailed a young lady that was managing their ebay site in a last ditch effort to get a hold of someone. She claimed that someone in their customer service then sent me a couple of emails over the course of the week... none were received by me or my spam folders. I am grateful to her because SHE was the only person to actually effectively respond (even if she was a tad curt in her reply).
All monies returned to me and I cashed the check at their bank.

Still, I would avoid doing business with these folks. It never should have taken six months for a refund nor should I have to start a full time job complaining about them in order to get it. Buyer Beware!

"This site pulled a classic bait-and-switch on me.

I placed an order on 5/31/2008 at evitaminstore.com. I ordered a full-size 6 oz waxing kit and a case of 6 lip balms. What I received was a travel size 1.6 oz waxing kit and 1 lip balm.

I emailed their customer service, and their response was,

"I checked the website and found that there was in fact an error. With over 15,000 products up on the website there is bound to be a few discrepancies."

They told me I could return the items AT MY EXPENSE, or they could give me a 1/2 price refund which was only $3.60. The value of the items I should have received were $17 and $19.80.

Needless to say, I will be staying FAR AWAY from this site.

"SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE & SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE. It has been over 6 weeks since I placed my order and I have still not received my order.

I ordered 5 Orangemate Grapefruit Air fresheners; the order went through and seemed legitimate but after 2 weeks, I got nothing and had to email them to complain. "Laura R" replied saying the item was out of stock, would I like something else? She tried to soothe me by saying they'd send an extra can of the spray once it was in stock.

4 weeks later I still had not received anything from them and not even an email apologizing for the order being late. I complained on their website, "Laura R" again wrote back to me saying that that was the first email they had received from me. I responded saying, No it wasn't - we had exchanged several emails with each other and here they are, attached below!

I just got fed up and called my bank to cancel the payment / file a claim. Luckily I have a good bank - they credited me the lost amount and they will be hounding eVitaminStore for their payment now.

Utterly ridiculous company - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

"Made a high dollar purchase but asked them to cancel within 15 minutes. They said they received the email 3 hours later and said it has already been shipped but no tracking number was given. Another email to inform about shipping was only sent a couple of days later with tracking number. Questioned them about the discrepancy in shipping cost and actual date of shipping but had no reply, could not access the tracking site too. After showing them proof of submission of cancellation within 15 minutes, they ignored me. Finally after a fierce email, they ask me to return without stating if there will be a full refund. Some of the items I received were damaged. Questioned them about it again.
Til now, no reply. Order at your own risk. Another friend who ordered from them had a bad experience too! I should have checked this site earlier.

If they have the time to set up facebook, twitter and blog accounts and reply my email within one day when I was enquiring before I placed the order, they should reply me promptly in regards to these errors after so many emails on my side! Very very bad customer service! Very Dishonest too!

"Made a high dollar purchase. They sent the wrong item. Tried to argue with me about it, ignored me. Then instructed me to return the product. Then actually claimed they issued a refund. Guess what? They never did and won't answer e-mail anymore.

It is a big mistake to place an order with this dishonest company. There are many other honest companies that sell the same items.

"I needed a particular nutritional supplement, so I searched Google Shopping. I found the best prices at online retailers that have been proven to be disreputable, each for their own individual reasons. Some use insecure e-commerce platforms. Some are notorious spammers. Some have actually had their customer service staff lie to me in the past. I eliminated these businesses one-by-one from consideration for my purchase.

The best price offered by a reputable vendor was from eVitaminStore.com. I placed my order and received email confirmation. This was followed by shipment notification three days later. My order arrived three days after that. The Postal Service managed to damage the shipping box slightly, but the order had been well-packed and everything was perfect.

eVitaminStore.com is a solid, reliable, trustworthy place to do business, particularly when purchasing something as important as health-related products. You can pay less today by buying from a cheaper competitor, but in many cases, you'll pay in unexpected ways later. eVitaminStore.com has my recommendation.
