"I phoned in and placed an order with Michael for a Canon 40D and an EF-70-200mm f/2.8L IS lens. I specifically asked Michael that the lens be the IS lens since Canon had an older non-IS lens which is what was listed on their website and I did not want that. He put me on hold to check and a few minutes later came back telling me that it is indeed the IS lens. After putting on the hard sell to get me to buy some additional accessories (I think they have a list of over-priced stuff that they're required to try and sucker you into) which I successfully fended off the order was finalized and placed.

A week later I receive the order and lo and behold the lens they shipped me is the non-IS lens that I specifically told him I did not want. A couple of work days of phone calls and emails to their "customer service" department went by without a single response from them. So I called up again and asked for "sales" (I think this is the only number they actually reply to) and got a hold of Michael (BTW he may be the only guy really working there) to tell him about the mixup. OK so he gives me an RMA number to return the lens for an exchange and a new price (of course according to Michael the price they had charged me before was not for the IS lens).

So I send the lens back, it takes a week for them to get the lens. Still no phone call or emails from them saying that they’ll ship the correct lens. I call three more times to see what the status of their shipping to me of the correct lens is, and finally they tell me that the exchange has been processed and that they will send me an email tomorrow with the tracking number for the exchange lens. Surprise ! the next day came and went without a single call or email from Dbuys. So at this point I need to bother to call them every day until they finally send this lens to me.

Bottom line, this is my first and LAST purchase with this sorry outfit.

"I got a phone call from a DBUYS customer representative so I called her back; after waiting for over 15 minutes, I got hang up by a girl who just said wait!. Called again and same thing happened. The third time I called, I finally got to speak with a person who put me on hold twice and after that, I was done with them. I told her I wanted to cancel my order to what she said: fine and hang up on me. I called again to talk to a supervisor, a young man answer and after explaining to him what happened he said: I'm sorry but we didn't do anything wrong, you said you wanted to cancel your order and it's canceled in a sarcastic voice tone. I told him that I wanted to ask the girl for a confirmation number and she hang up on me while I was still talking and I didn’t appreciate that and I didn't appreciate his tone of voice either. You don’t have to yell at me. He said: I’m not yelling at you!, I wouldn’t yell at someone who’s just buying a 240 dollar cell phone I guess you need to spend less money to get yelled at..
This is the worst customer service I’ve ever received by far!!!... I feel violated
I used a different webpage to buy the same product, it was 20 dollars more expensive but they were worth it…next time I will read reviews about the seller before I purchase anything online.

"I am the most skeptical online shopper and would be skeptical if reading the review I am now writing. Also, I've noticed that vendors are manipulating feedback websites and basically forging good reviews. Nevertheless, I wanted to buy a PV-GS400 camcorder. Dbuys was the cheapest (per resellerratings product search) at $999 with cheap shipping. I asked all the questions...NTSC or PAL, retail box, yada yada. All the answers were satisfactory. The guys did try to sell add ons which I said I already had them. He was cool and didn't get mean. I received the camcorder in great order and everything is fine. I got a GREAT deal! I now see the price has gone up.

Tips - Be nice to the cheap e-tailers. Tell them you are worried about getting ripped off. If you call skeptical, you will get it right back. These places don't make that much money without selling add ons so they will basically hang up on you if you are mean or skeptical. Make sure and get an order# while they are on the phone. Good luck. I'm very happy to of had a good experience with a low price e-tailer.

"I ordered a Nikon D50 from Dbuys.com online. The site said that it was in stock so I ordered it. Two days later I checked the status of my order and it said it had been billed and sent to shipping. I called to confirm and they said that it would ship that morning. When the online status hadn't changed by the next day, I called and was told that the camera was now on back order. I immediately cancelled my order and ordered from somewhere else. the problem is that they had already billed my credit card even though it was not scheduled to ship for another 2 weeks. A week later and the charges still have not been reversed. I am disputing the charges through my credit card company. Hopefully that will be the end of it. Great price but not worth the headaches!!!"

"The worst company I have ever done business with. Ever. Promised 24-48 hours for my laptop to leave the warehouse, but it shipped a week later. They just "decided" to close 4 days out of the week, so I could not reach customer service for questions about why my order hadn't been shipped. Customer service put me on hold for 25 minutes. So I called back and talked to the sales rep. He said I was taking time away from him making money so he couldn't talk to me. Finally I get a customer service rep who - and I am not kidding - YELLED at me over the phone. He would hardly let me speak, I finally hung up. I have never, never, never in my life been treated as rudely as I was by dbuys.com. "

"Placing the order - no problem. Getting the order - big problem. After several delivery delays the 50" plasma finally showed up - damaged. Called dbuys and they tell me that they will send out another one. I tell them after these delays I want to just cancel the order. No problem all I have to do is pay them $425 - that is what it cost to ship it to me and ship it back to them via truck. The TV was not damaged in-transit, it was damaged but the box was pristine so it obviously had been packed that way from the factory - thanks Panasonic! So not only do I NOT have my TV - I now have to pay to have it shipped to me and then back to NYC just to get the majority of the $4000 credit charges refunded. THANKS VERY MUCH!"

"The order process was fast and efficient. I ordered a toshiba tv. The price with shipping was less then any other online or local retailer I could find and they had it in stock for immediate shipping. The item was shipped within 24 hours of my order and received 2 days later as expected. The item was received in good condition. It had been double packaged for extra shipping safety. Overall the whole online shopping, ordering, shipped and receiving process was better then expected and I would not hesitate to order from dbuys.com in the future."
