I’m not impressed

"Stopped in to pick up an item my fiancé ordered online. Explained very clearly that he had not had it sent to this location, but because we live a good 40min to an hour from any cycle gear, and I happened to be near this one, I wanted to just purchase it so he wouldn’t have to spend two+ hours of his life going to the other location. Well, I may have been speaking a foreign language. The sales associate headed to the back to go look for his item, I tried to stop him, but there was no doing that. We did this circle **** THREE times. I had also told him that I needed to purchase a half helmet for myself, but needed some assistance finding what I was looking for. The guy was in the back so long that I had called my fiancé, found the item he was looking for and gone through all the helmets and figured out which one was the specific type I needed, this self-help situation played out during the three disappearances looking for something that wasn’t there. Meanwhile, enter some dude. When the guy came out from the back (again, still empty handed if you can believe that lol) he did not come back over to tell me the same outcome as the last two trips as he had before, instead he asked the other dude if he could assist him, ok.....if were aborting mission I’d at least like the decency to be told. Silly me, I think I actually expected to finally come to a conclusion by purchasing my stuff and he could wonder what happened all day for all I care. But, no, not only had he thrown in the towel on any type of solution or further questions to help understand the (what should have been clear before the first trip back even happened) situation, it appeared that he would not be wondering all day, in fact he’d already forgotten. The dude was a talker too. I stood at the register so long that the two hour round trip to the other store wasn’t looking so bad. Finally another associate came out and rang me out. When asked if anyone had helped me I didn’t even know how to answer. This is exactly why shopping online is better. "

Great service, great products

"I needed a new helmet in a hurry. I found this shop via Yelp and Google, and was able to reserve a helmet in the right size for same-day pickup. They emailed me when the item was available; I drove to the shop and picked it up; super easy. This is my new favorite motorcycle shop."

"Always uneasy about half maskers! Please wear masks that fit on your face. Was told to go to the website to get the product I wanted. I don’t like that answer either. Trying to support brick and mortar stores. "

Quick and easy

"Having discovered that the motorcycle chinos that I had ordered from Cycle Gear in Santa Rosa were too small, I decided to call around and see if anyone had a replacement pair on the shelf. Three stores were a bust, then I called Redwood City. The young lady who answered the phone was extremely helpful. I rode to the store and exchanged pants. As a bonus, I picked up a small compressor for fixing flats. Very happy."

Big Adventure

"Always an adventure to ride down to RWC to a real motorcycle store. Staff was attentive, bought gloves and oil. Everyone wore masks which I'm grateful as I'm 67 and very careful to avoid C-19. I was bothered that a young lady staff said they are lenient about masks, I would rather hear that safety for their customers is most important. However, happy Cycle Gear is open and serving us motorcycle customers. "
