"Ordered a product over a week and a half ago. I barely received an email stating that I needed to call and cancel the order because they don't have the product. Their customer service department doesn't sound like they are even in this country.
I don't think they actually stock any products. It sounds like they are just your internet drop shippers. It would definitely make sense why they have no idea what they can or can't actually ship to their customers. It sounds like a common occurrence with these guys."
"It appeared that this store had excellent selection with great prices and shipping. Once I ordered an item that was listed as 'in stock' with free shipping, I waited and waited to receive a notice that it had shipped. I needed the item by a certain date or it was of no use to me. After 2 weeks went by with no word from the company I contacted customer service. They said they were sorry but the item had been placed on Back Order and they would ship it as soon as they could. I asked them to cancel the order since it would be too late by then and they apologized and said they would do that. 2 more weeks later I got notice that the item had shipped via Fed Ex and my card was charged the full amount. I called Fed Ex to refuse the shipment and then called Boaters World to complain that they had ignored my order cancellation. They apologized a lot but said that my cancellation order never had been submitted. I told them that I had the email from customer service stating that the cancellation would be sent to the warehouse. They had little to say to me after that and I suspect that they willfully "forgot" to send the cancellation as a way of fraudulently collecting charges on a cancelled order. Sure enough, THEY REFUNDED THE AMOUNT MINUS THE SHIPPING COSTS!! They stole $7.00 from me! I will never do business with this thieving company again!"
"ON 4/15/11 I ORDERED A $497.00 RAYMARINE HAND HELD AUTO PILOT REMOTE. I WAS TOLD THE ITME WAS IN STOCK VIA THE 800 NUMBER AND WOULD SHIP IN 1 0R 2 BUSINESS DAYS. "On Saturday 1/23/10, I purchased 3 "ProMariner Universal AC Plug Holder White" from Boaters World on Ebay. At first I was reluctant because of the negative feedback here at ResellersRatings, but they had a pretty good feedback on Ebay, so I took a chance. After placing the order, I received an email instructing me to call for order confirmation. I thought to myself, here comes the bait and switch! To my surprise, I was told everything was in order. The items were shipped on Monday 1/25/10 by FedEx Ground and I received them on Friday 1/29/10 in Alaska. I wouldn't hesitate placing another order with Boaters World through Ebay."

"First they put a gps on sale. I order one and they ship me a used unit marked Display on the box. It is missing parts. I call and ask for a new unit like I ordered. They never sent me anything back. When I called they told me they would send it in a week (twice). Finally three weeks later I called and they say that they will refund my money and the item was discontinued from the manufacturer. This was a lie. They then admitted it was a lie and said they could special order one for me at $400 more than I paid. The customer service and "supervisors" that I spoke to were all like robots and would not do anything except repeat the same thing over and over... The worst web shopping experience I have ever had. "
"I will never make a purchase again or recommend this company to anyone. My item was on backorder, they offered me a refund and I accepted. Then I was told I would recieve no refund and would have to wait for the item. I asked for a refund and was denied. I used google checkout to make the purchase and I am taking action with google as we speak. I will take action with my bank if the problem is not solved to my satisfaction. If you want to get the best deal like I did, next time spend a little more money with a reputable store. I will buy this item from cabelas if I ever get my money back."
