"I ordered a network card from Zoomtek, the online order process went through and I received a confirming email. The NIC never arrived. Email I sent to Zoomtek went unanswered. The number they list for their fax [***-***-****] is the voice number for the Fairwood Golf & Country Club Pro Shop in Renton, WA and is NOT a fax line. The phone number listed for ZoomTek [***-***-****] goes unanswered. I WOULD NEVER ORDER FROM ZOOMTEK.

"Ordered a memory kit from this company (Mushkin 991434 HP Dual DDR). This company "Zoomtek specialized on hard to find and discontinue computer hardware. " (direct quote from their website), and I was looking for an older Ram kit to upgrade my aging computer.

After locating this site, showing my memory in stock, I contacted the company to verify the correct information, as the image shown for my pending order was not visually the correct RAM. The Mushkin kit I wanted has blue heat spreaders, and also runs at a different timing than their standard line. The gentleman answering the phone (Alex) went offline for a couple of minutes, then came back and told me that the RAM I was ordering (correctly) was blue. I told him this was what I wanted, and hung up, to complete the order online. Shortly after, I received confirmation via email that my order had been placed.

The next day, at approximately the same time, I received an email from Alex, informing me that "This memory is a discontinued product, and not made by manufacture anymore." Well, duh, that's why I found it on your site, where you specialize in this sort of thing. Anyway, he told me they had some other, newer, Mushkin, that was the same thing, they would sell me for the same price. After getting the part id, I told him that that was NOT the same RAM, as the timing ratings were different. He told me he would contact Mushkin and try to find me some information or replacement Ram.

Jump ahead to the next day, when Alex called again, telling me that he had found the RAM I had originally ordered, and he would be shipping it that day. I had to call back 3 business days later to get a shipping number, when I found out that they HADN'T shipped it UPS as I paid for, he told me they shipped it USPS (which, according to him, was the same price....bull. ) After a couple of minutes, he corrected and told me they'd shipped FedEx.

Finally, 5 days after ordering, the item showed up on the doorstep, placed it in my computer, and after restarting the computer a few times (intentionally, and not by my choice), and reseating the RAM, everything's working fine, even under the tighter timings.

Basically, this is a mixed review. Not sure what I'll score them at the end. From a company that touts "discontinued" and "not manufactured any longer" stock, and specializes it providing that service, I just don't expect these kind of responses. "
