Customer Service is non-existent. Worthless trash company.

"Ordered a Bluray set from them. Next day I realized that the person I bought it from had the set already so contacted them about what I could do about returning the item once it arrived. They wouldn't even communicate with me - claimed the order came from another account on their UK site even though I logged in and communicated with them solely from the links in my order e-mail. They wouldn't provide me any means of direct contact, I could only use their online system and they stopped responding after I asked them multiple times to direct me to where they would resolve the issue.
Normally, I would continue to pursue a company up until the point of legal action. The fact that they are apparently located in the UK (and away from US legal authority) and the fact that they simply refused to even respond made it very difficult. I ended up selling the item locally for the price I paid fairly quickly and so it is not worth my energy to pursue.
I highly recommend everyone stay away from this company, they have absolutely no customer service and will not respond with anything constructive.

They send you the wrong item and somehow it's your fault

"Awful customer service. You pay for an item and expensive delivery and then find out it will take a ridiculous amount of time to arrive and then when it does eventually arrive it's the wrong item and after they tell you the item you want is out of stock (which I believe is why they deliberately sent the wrong item as to secure my money) they send you incomplete and irritatingly complex return instructions that relay on more expenditure on your part and refuse to to acknowledge any of your complaints.
I was once kidnapped by Panamanian counter insurgents. They tortured for me days in the hopes of gaining strategic information in relation to storming our embassy, but at least they had a cause, and I found it an ultimately more pleasant experience than dealing with Zavvi.

Retail cowboys that don't care!!

"Pre-ordered a item as a Christmas gift and after 60 days got an email saying that the order had been sent,it is now 13 days since then and no item received,a total of 73 days from ordering,customer service is a total joke, after contacting them was told they could look into my missing item After the 25/12/18,all this so I could try to save £5-£6 on the ebay price for the same item,never, ever again,currently informing trading standards about this matter,do not give these jokers a penny!! "

Zavvi has no customer service. and play games and never refund. Please avoid them, even if they are cheap.

"You think Zavvi are cheap to buy from, but really just avoid them, no customer service of any kind .The seem to just want to rip you off or wear you down , to give up. I marked them 1 star, as theres no minus 10 option.
Contacted Zavvi to return a faulty item.
When you send a message via their web site, you get an auto reply in your personal email address also. But when an actual agent replies. Guess what you dont get a mail to your personal email. Only to their web site inbox for your account. So you message them and think you will get a email reply to your mail . Nope! Talk about confusing for starters.
After I figured this out, they wanted photos, which was pointless. Sent them anyway via there message hub. Then I got message to my personal email returns info would follow. But guess what ? No returns info sent. Requested it 7 times or so ,but nothing. Checked my email to see if there address was marked as spam etc,all good.
Funny how the system can email you the auto reply .But the returns info and any other messages dont. After countless tries I asked for a supervisor to phone me ,many times... But nothing. Asked them to try another email address ,nothing?. In the end I changed my email address on my account. Requested returns and finally it came through. All in only took nearly two months.
So all good then?? NO !!
I noticed after using their returns paperwork and returns tracked free post labels.That I had never got the money back for the item.
Messaged them about it, they asked for returns info. I had sent it a month and a half ago. So of course I didnt have the proof of postage still (silly me).
I check my emails and found the returns labels etc. There was a tracking number so I checked it. Guess what they signed for it 4 days later. But claim to never of seen it.
One agent said we need to find the parcel in our warehouse ,but how is that my issue? I have proven its been returned , one thing they need to do now refund me.

I left a review elsewhere and Zavvi responded. They said they were sorting my refund. They never did, fake con artists I think.

Avoid like the plague.

"Poor service start to finish. Ordered, tracker (Hermes) says it returned to sender same day. No response from, zavvi. Website shows order cancelled without any notification. Waiting to see if I get refunded.

Feels like a scam - don't risk it. Shop elsewhere.

Horrible Customer Service and Bad Excuses

"Bought a product from them that didn't reach me even a month after ordering. They claimed that it was because of a bad address on my part, due to the fact that my phone number was somehow inserted in the address details. Which is an incredibly stupid excuse given the fact that I gave them the country, the city and the postal code (+ the other details of the address that were correct). No tracking information was given and no contact information for the delivery service was given. Even though they were supposed and even though the whole issue could've been resolved if the product had the tracking service as it was required. I've exchanged e-mails for 2 weeks without receiving any useful/helpful info at all. They kept bringing up the "Terms and Agreement" card, where they cannot take liability if the customer inserts a bad address. Even though any employee who is not brain dead should be able to tell a phone number from the details of an address just by looking at said number. Worst experience I've had with buying products online.
Do NOT buy from Zavvi. Ever.

THEIVES .... Dont even risk it , UPDATE - they wanted to make it up to me I think

"Update: I was able to get a refund but not from Zavvi, from Paypal. Zavvi after I got my refund insisted on sending me the Blu Ray even though I told them I was refunded. I specifically told them NOT to send it to me while it apparently was in the UK being prepared for shipment from the UK. I ordered from the USA though. I will assume they want me to keep the Blu Ray I cant do anymore. I think the entire thing was all a mistake they made. I have a feeling they never intended on selling this Steelbook for 14.99. Well I received it and I am going to change my rating. That was very nice to send me the Steelbook Blu ray and it was in perfect condition. Before this happened after a month waiting for the Blu Ray. I have left my comments to be accurate.

Well for my first shot at Zavvi US they just took my money like any scum thief would and blew me off. I wonder how many unfortunate Americans get ripped off by these losers. I really think they thought they had my money. I wish I could do way more to help people avoid getting ripped off but they have products you cant get any where and it tempts many of us to try Zavvi US out. I HATE THIEVES.

Dont preorder items, because they will never arrive!!

"Dont preorder items.Just dont.Whether you order it from day one, they run out of stock, without further notice.Two times in the row, the first, item came after 3 months (also they kept the amount of the item, before sending it), luck of items they said although it was a numbered item!!!, and the second themselves canceled the preorder ( blade Runner 2049 special edition)!

Not a trustworthy online shop!

Embarrassingly Poor

"So poor, they dangle items in front of you, take orders, make all sorts of promises, but take WEEKS to deliver goods, if they deliver at all. Last order of mine made on Sept. 5th, still not received a month later.

And when I say last order, I MEAN last order.

Customer support is just full of auto-responses and meaningless platitudes that really just translate as 'we'll send it when we send it'.

Embarrassingly poor for a company trading in a global, online, Amazon Prime-led marketplace.

Strongly recommend people to not waste their time and effort, just to be disappointed.

Great prices and shipping on movies from across the pond

"tl;dr I've made 4 orders with Zavvi over the last 3.5 months, all for movies on region-free Blu-ray for ~$10 each including shipping and currency conversion and received before the estimated delivery date.

Bought 6 region-free Marvel Blu-ray movies on sale for approximately $10/movie (versus $20-25), including exchange rate (GBP to USD by PayPal) and international shipping (USPS delivery), and received them across the Atlantic a day prior to Zavvi's estimate (on May 2 instead of May 3-4; exactly 2 weeks from order date).

Bought 2 more region-free Marvel Blu-ray movies for same price, but this time arrived two days prior to Zavvi's estimated date (May 8 vs May 10-11; and if USPS delivered on Sundays I might have received it on the 7th).

Bought another 4 region-free Blu-rays (3 Disney and 1 double-feature) for just under $10 a piece on sale including shipping and currency conversion. Order placed after-hours on 7/12 and 3 arrived on 7/18 with a straggler showing up on 7/19. Overseas shipping in a week? Awesome! Only negative: one of the Blu-ray cases had a small crack on one of its corners (still intact, but cracked) presumably because the movies were shipped in individual padded envelopes (where previous shipments were boxed all-together).

I contacted customer service about the cracked Blu-ray case with pictures about 6:30 PM British time and within minutes they replied offering a refund based on a percentage of the damaged product's price. I'm declining the refund because the quick response and mere offer is satisfaction enough.

I bought an on-sale box set on August 2 which was two-thirds the price of Amazon ($40 vs $60), including shipping and currency conversion. After not receiving the dispatch notice after a day or two, which is unusual based on my 3 previous orders, I reviewed the status of my order online and it was "on order" (or something like that; can't remember the exact wording). Reviewing my order notice, previously received by email, I realized it said "Usually despatched within 3 working days" (yes, misspelling and all) where all my previous orders said "In stock | Usually dispatched within 24 hours". I figured it was "in stock" because Zavvi said "BUY NOW" and not "SOLD OUT" on the website when I ordered; my mistake. The order was dispatched a week later on August 9 and received on August 21, 2 days prior to the estimated delivery date range, wrapped in a cardboard book mailer and in perfect shape. I would have given 4 stars for this single order because of the confusion, but 5 stars overall.

DISCLAIMER: This review is only for the "www" zavvi subdomain, not the "us" one which is for the US website and has limited product selection, appears to ship from state-side, and presumably other differences.

BEWARE OF SELLER!!!!

"I ordered two retro phones from Zavvi and both arrived water damaged, and despite having photographic proof that the local post had damaged the phones in transit Zavvi expected me to pay return shipping before they would agree to replace them. Living in the United States return shipping was way too expensive, and Zavvi refused send me replacement phones. I'm out the purchase price and shipping of two phones I ordered from them. I'm never buying from Zavvi again. I wish I'd seen all the bad reviews, I would have NEVER purchased from them. I blame Google for not posting these for me to see when purchasing off a search result from them."

No Savvy at Zavvi

"i returned a faulty tablet in January and after over 100 emails still awaiting refund, numerous excuses and empty promises always stating it will be refunded within 3-5 days but it does not happen, then another excuse another email 3-5 days and yep again it doesn't happen and the loop goes on, i sent recorded letters still no response, sadly this is a British Company who can learn much from the Chinese and american companies about customer satisfaction, one email from zavvi actually said "we have not given you are world class service we are known for" they want to look online at their reveiws and see just how crap they really are. i buy almost every day from Amazon, Groupon, Aliexpress, Banggood ,Ebay etc but the first and last on zavvi. Their policy is to keep messing you about until you give up, their customer relations manager is a non entity and the company should be closed down. "
