"I ordered an All-Clad slow cooker from Zaccardi's in Scarsdale New York. My order shipped March 30, 2009. It arrived 16 days later. Tracking showed that the shipment made to trips to California but went back to shipper because of shipper error. The day after I got the slow cooker I tried it out and discovered it wouldn't simmer even after hours on high(temperature measured 140ºF for high reading.

I first talked to All-Clad who told me warranty repair was taking 6 weeks and that I should ask for an exchange from the store I purchased the slow cooker from. I couldn't get through to Zaccardi's by phone. I have been going back and forth with them in emails. The final result was a return authorization at my expense to the manufacturer, All-Clad. The model of slow cooker I purchased from Zaccardi's was 99007 and made in China. Their website did not mention this fact. The closest slow cooker to mine on All-Clad's website was 99009. There was no 99007. I find that interesting.

I still don't have a working slow cooker and my total outlay is over $210 including return shipping and a new box I purchased because I was confident that all was well with an All-Clad product. Zaccardi extolls their customer service. You can see for yourself on their website:http://www.zaccardis.com.

They mention EZ return policy. There is nothing easy about it. It's a nightmare.

"Ordered a $110 cutting board. After a month of it not shipping (and them claiming it was not in stock, despite the website showing it WAS), I sent an email telling them to either ship it within 48 hours or cancel the order.

The next day, a shipping notice arrives via email. When I receive the order, the $110 cutting board I ordered was not what I received, which was a $40 version of it.

Called and spoke w/ someone, they said that someone from the "Warehouse" would contact me within 48 hours. 5 days later, no contact, so I call them back and they tell me to fill out an online RMA. I do so, and another 4 days pass before I have their "call tag".. Sent it off on a Monday, they received it on Wednesday.. Now, a week later and none of the promised return calls or emails have arrived, and upon calling them, they tell me that they have no record of it being received.. Amazingly, when I give them the tracking #, *poof*, there it is.

Now a week later, and no refund. I call the #, and they tell me that they can't help me on the phone, that I need to send another email to the ever-popular warehouse and wait another 48 hours (or more likely a week) for a response.

In summation:

False "In stock" status.

Bait and switch item shipment.

Customer service that has NEVER done what they claimed they would do.

Fraudulent admission of receipt of returned items.

Long delays for refunds.

Avoid these people at all cost.

"Terrible , this company MUST be inspected by some ONLINE VENDORS Authorities at least!! Order was placed in Dec.17th/2007 ( of course paid Instantly by Credit Card )incorrect model of Espresso Machine arrived on 12/31/2007( wrong model: paid $258 - received $208 Model , was OBVIOUSLY used scuffs & scratches ) Placed phone Call(on day of arrival)to "Customer Service" explaining FACTS since then still NO ANSWER on simple return procedures ( no label , no return address ) so called "SUPERVISORS" of customer Service for those ONLINE PIRATES either give vague explanations of "return procedures" or simply UNAVAILABLE. NO alternate phone numbers or contact INFO for this strange company.How difficult it should be to obtain simple Item Return INFO & get money Back?!?!? Today is Jan.2008 and another leading to NO WHERE phone call was placed and still same - please wait for e-mail from (mysterious) warehouse to get return INFO. To ANYONE who is considering purchasing from Zaccardi's - BE AWARE and read previous REVIEW Postings. Zaccardi's are a DISREPUTABLE company."

"Zacardi's claims to have top-notch customer service. My experience was horrible. On 4/2/07, I ordered 7 items totaling $100 via internet, all items were shown in stock. Later in the day they advised 2 items out of stock. They charged my credit card for the corrected amount on 4/5/07 but did not ship the order until 4/9. On 4/12 the order arrived. One item was dirty, dented and scratched. Other items were fine. I reported the damaged immidiately by phone. It took several days to obtain return authorization after I refused to claim the damage to UPS as it was not shipping damage. They REQUIRE an annoying checklist of tasks for returns, including insurance. My cost for return was $7.15 (item cost was $26.99)After they received the return they advised the item was no longer in stock and credited my account for the cost of the item only. They refused to credit my cost for the return although they shipped the merchandise damaged and could not replace it. They have refused to address the issue. My advice, look elswhere. I actually found all the items I ordered from them elsewhere at about 15% less. No customer service after the order is placed and they misrepresent their return policy! "

"This store SUCKS! They will not take back a damaged item that was also the wrong color. They keep stalling by saying they will send a call tag, but dont. Then they try to claim the item is used!!!!! Then finally, the time to return has run out. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS!"

"Order placed 2/16/07 6:30 a.m. Amount of order $259.98.

Today is 02/27/06, still have not received my order.

Upon contact the retaile r stated the item was not in stock when the order was placed but had to be obtained from the merchant. The web site stated the item was in stock. I consider that deceitful advertising.

Customer Service stated the order was shipped on 2/26/07 and will be delivered on March 1, 2007. They advertise Free Super Saver Shipping if you place any order for $99 or more. The customer service rep felt they were within the guidelines of super saver shipping because you are suppose to allow 2 weeks for delivery with free shipping.

I make a lot of purchases online and with many merchants and I receive many of my orders within 3 days, regardless of whether or not shipping is free.

I will shop elsewhere in the future. There are too many merchants that appreciate my business to deal with this ever again.
