"I have the exact complaint as the previous post. It is impossible to reach customer service!!! I called the toll free number several times to check on an order that was listed (after I ordered it) as backordered, and was told that the representative could not pull up my order, could not give me any info whatsoever, and could not transfer me to customer service b/c of high call volume. I was told to keep calling until I "got lucky" and reached someone in customer service. I was told that I could not even cancel my order withoult speaking directly with customer service. I have never ever seen anything like this and will never order from this catalog again. So disappointed since I wanted this item for my daughter's 7th birthday!!! "

"I am so furious with this store I will NEVER buy from them again. I ordered 3 items on 12/9/09. They were all listed as IN STOCK. On 12/14/09 I was notified that 1 item had shipped. On 12/18/09 I tracked that item, only to find that it was stranded in Denver and might not arrive until 12/23! That's cutting it pretty close for Xmas! But my REAL complaint is that the other 2 items are still listed as PENDING - they haven't shipped. I called Cust. Svc., but was rolled over to the Order Desk because of high volume. All that person could tell me was that one item is backordered until mid-Jan & the other item MIGHT be out of stock & discontinued, but she's not sure. WHY HAVEN'T I BEEN NOTIFIED OF THIS before now - a week before Xmas?? Instead - I'm in limbo. Young Explorers doesn't notify me, but they're not shipping my stuff! AND I can't get ANYONE in Cust. Svc even after FIVE phone calls because of high volume!!! This is totally unacceptable. Now they tell me to call at 6:00 AM EST which is 3:00 AM MY time because MAYBE then I can talk to Cust. Svc. Like I said - I will NEVER buy from them again!"
