"We purchased a new vehicle about 8 months ago. With the vehicle- we had a 3 month trial of the service. During those three months we had a lot of issues with the radio. The radio would deactivate without any notification. I would then have to sit on the phone for 40-45 minutes each time with a rep from the customer. When it was coming to the end of the three months, I kept getting a phone calls (mulitple, 3-5 times a day) from an 800 number. When looking up the phone number I found out it was XM radio. This made me very angry. I did not owe them ANYTHING. There is no reason to be calling that many times a day, every day including Sundays. I call them up and requested that I be removed from their calling list. Even though there was a lot of problems I still loved the service. At that point I signed up for an additional 5 month service, I paid them the fee and removed my name from their Do Not Call list. Well today the service was up. I did not receive anything in the mail renewing my service. When I called customer service I had HORRIBLE service. The rep did not do anything for this. He said that it was something that I choose by taking my name off the call list, apparently that means that they can not send any notification by mail about the service either. The rep was not helping me in any way. I then requested to speak to a manager. The rep then told him that it did not matter if I talked to a supervisor as I would be told the same thing. HELLO---WHERE IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! The manager got on the phone and told me that it was my choice to not be contacted and if I wanted the service I would have to pay $87.00 plus taxes and fees. I understand having to pay, that is not my issue. But before I was going to pay anything, I told the customer about the experience with the company. I simply then asked what they will do to make me stay a customer of theirs. I told him for a luxury service, I am certainly being in convinced. He then said, I NEVER ASKED TO YOU STAY A CUSTOMER- I SIMPLY GAVE YOU AN OFFER. Well sir that is the last time I will EVER use XM again. If a manager does not care about the customer- who is paying their salaries- then who does care???? I would recommend that NO ONE ever use XM radio. They need to reevaluate their service- Their reviews are horrible- Learn customer service and maybe you will have more users."

"This is a terrible company,they inflate the bills every year even if they have promised me a discount.I discontinued my service on the phone but they ignored me and continued billing me ; now they sent my bill to a collection agency for an amount($54.71) that does not match any of the bills before.How do they stay in business if they keep piling up negative reviews?"

"I have had an account with XM for several years now. I renewed last year and paid for 1 year of service. At that time I notified them not to extend the subscription beyond that year period. I started getting bills from them which I did not pay much attention to because I have not listened to XM for at least 6 months now.

Today I received a bill from a collection agency (collection company of America) for 37.12 I called XM to ask why I am being charged for service that I specifically stated that I did not want beyond the year that I paid up front. The individual said that I need to call to notify them to cancel the service at the end of my contract. I stated that I did notify them not to extend my service beyond the year when I renewed last year. He said that there system is not set up to handle that and that I need to call at the end of my service.

Is this stealing, fraud or embezzlement when I clearly notified them not to go beyond the year? Just do a search on google XM fraud and see what you find.

"I placed an order for a Pioneer Inno portable radio from the XM Radio online store on Wed morning, May 17th so I could take in on my vacation the following week.

I decided to get overnight delivery for $30 to ensure it arrived on time. A couple days later (May 19th) when I realized the item wouldn't arrive on time, I called to cancel but was told it was “too late”. I called twice more over the next 2 weeks to cancel with no luck. On the third call, I learned it was backordered but would be shipped "any day now".

It arrived Friday, June 2nd, 2 ½ weeks after I ordered it.

I called again and was told to return the item and I would receive a full refund in 24-48 hours. It's now June 23rd, and I have yet to receive a refund.

Needless to say I am frustrated and shocked at how awful the customer service has been. I’ve spent hours trying to resolve the situation... I have been in customer service and have consistently tried to maintain professionalism and reason.

To make matters worse, now they refuse to refund my shipping costs, despite the fact I order an item from them for overnight delivery, was never told it was backorder for 2 weeks, and the item arrived two and a half weeks later. Amazing.

Do not ever use XM radio. I’ve already ordered another item from Sirus and it’s been a great experience all around.

If you have had a poor experience with XM Radio I strongly encourage you to share it with others – I wish I would have know sooner.

"This store is not trustworthy, I ordered a radio this morning using the coupon and paid for item and shipping by credit card.
Called up to ask status. they replied with blaming me that you used unauthorised code. I don't know what they mean by unauthorised, I think they are covering their system fault. I responded with can you cancel the coupon and shipe the item they denied it and canceled my order.

How can I dare to do this again. Next time the order i placed can me unauthorized for them.

"Double buy rebate. WARNING!! RIP OFF REBATE. The rebate is for FREE second XM reciever. I applied for this rebate but here is the catch. After you applied for this rebate they will charge your card for 3 month extra. I called customer service and they said that there is very small text on a down of rebate page saing that 3 month in advance require. Cancelation cost $100. So what kind of rebate is that if at the end you paying money for this. If so STOP CALLING THIS FREE SECOND RADIO, because it is not FREE. But if you call it FREE let it be FULLY free."
