Customer Service has you do their job!!

"Ordered a bow case on Walmart.com from Woodbury Outfitters for Christmas. When it was opened it was missing the hinge pins. I went to my original order on Walmart.com and sent a message on Sat., 12/24 requesting an exchange or to replace the hinge pins. Walmart.com forwarded this message to Woodbury Outfitters and sent me a message asking them to reply within 1business day as any good customer service department would. I recieved an email the on Tues., 12/26 stating "hello,
this item came from the manufacture. if you contact them they'll ship you the pins out. if you have any problems please contact us back. thank you,"
I emailed Woodbury Customer Service back asking if they had the contact information for the manufacturer's customer service. Then recieved this response, "Hello,
I am sorry I don't have the contact information for plano protector.
Leigha". Which then I looked up the manufacturer's customer service and contacted them with a copy of the receipt. They did send the hinge pins. My order was taken care of, but not with any help from Woodbury. They did NOT forward my request or even give me an 800 number to contact them. To me this is extremely poor customer service and for this reason I will not purchase anything from Woodbury Outfitters no matter the price. BTW, the price was the same as other retailers for the bow case that I ordered.

Horrible Customer Service

"I purchased a scope for my muzzle loader. Once mounted, I attempted to sight the muzzle loader in at 50 yards. The shots bounced around a lot but I finally got it close enough where I felt comfortable going back to 100 yards, or at least I thought I had. Once I started to sight the muzzle loader in at 100 yards the shot placement was too random in order to sight the scope in properly so I went back to 50 yards. After about the 20th shot the left/right windage knob blew completely off the side of the scope; at this time I knew the problem with the shot placement was a defective scope. I used over $30 in black powder, firing caps and sabbots only to find out I had a defective scope. I emailed Woodbury and explained my situation. Nobody ever replied to my email so I ended up calling them. I spoke with a lady named Tammy who was able to pull up my email only to say she does not know why no one has contacted be back but that she would let the supervisor know my problem. After waiting several days, again, with no response, I ended up calling in again and spoke with a supervisor named Lacie (spelling?). After I explained everything to her she actually had the nerve to tell me it's normally their policy to not give refunds on scopes that have been mounted and used. I asked her, as calmly as possible, how someone is able to determine if something if working properly without actually trying it. Also, when I explained how I used over $30 in trying to sight in this defective scope, her attitude was basically, oh well, there is nothing we can do about that. Instead of making some attempt to keep the customer happy she simply felt it best to just have a really bad attitude about something that was not the fault of the customer. After this I just asked her to send me a return label so I could receive my refund and she said she would. Once I asked how long this would take she stated she was not sure as the "person" who handles returns had to leave for a personal family emergency and would not return until the next day. Does not seem like a very well established company if only one person can handle returns, nor does it seem like a very good company with customer service of this nature. "

You have been warned...

"Terrible terrible experience with these guys.. Fraudulent charges, restocking fees on that charge and they have the customer service from hell... I am amazed that they are an online presence at all if they treat everyone this poorly..

Rarely dish out 1 star reviews but this place is overrated at 1 start..

"Will never patronize this horrible company ever again. Had terrible customer service. I placed an online order and realized I had misread the item description. I called them within minutes of placing the order and she said it would be cancelled. But she only cancelled a single item rather than the whole order. That's not what I asked for nor was told would happen. So I paid 3x as much shipping as should have been charged. I contacted them asking to refund the excess shipping amount only to be ignored."

"I made a mistake during the online ordering process which resulted in me placing duplicate orders. Elizabeth from Woodbury Outfitters contacted me prior to filling the duplicate order to ensure it was correct. I am exceedingly grateful for her attention to customer service having no doubt 99.9% of retailers would have simply shipped this duplicate order. After all it was my mistake, why would the vendor want to stop shipment?

Customer Service! That's why.

In my first interaction with Woodbury they have shown customer service from days gone by and have earned a lifelong customer.

"place 3 orders from them for ammos and they called it after one day. I was told they were oversold the ammos so they can not fill my order. I got the ammos at a reasonable price and I think they just want to sell for more. "

"Woodbury provided excellent service and pricing for my recent purchase of a Sig Sauer P220 SuperMatch .45 cal pistol. I contacted numerous gun stores both locally and on-line. Most lost interest in helping once they realized they did not have the item in stock. Even those store that did have the item, their pricing was at least $50 to $100 higher but they really did not want to support my need for quick shipment.

To my surprise, Pam, at Woodbury Outfitters, was extremely courteous and promptly went the extra mile to provide final pricing with overnight shipping to meet my schedule. Not only did she quickly help, but their pricing for overnight shipping was closer to the actual cost which was about half of what others were charging. She also coordinated the transfer to my local FFL dealer very quickly.

Overall, my experience was excellent and I will be conducting business with Woodbury's again.
