Worst company I’ve ever purchased from

"I purchased a wine cooler from winecoolersdirect.com which is a build.com website. When dealing with their customer service, I was forwarded to build.com each time through chat, email and phone. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever experience. I waited for an “expert” on chat yesterday and was the “1st in line” for over an hour during their normal chat hours listed. I’ve sent multiple emails and no replies. Don’t get me started on their phone based customer service... I was sitting on hold to set up my return for an item I asked them to cancel before it even shipped and the system just hung up on me! I called back and finally got a customer service rep (an hour after placing my first phone call), who is the rudest customer service rep I have ever talk to and proceeds to lie to me about why my order was not canceled 2 weeks ago. I asked to talk to a manager because the information she had was incorrect and she told me she was going to hang up on me if I “yelled” at her again, which I was not yelling I was just asking to speak to a manager. Anyone who would flat out lie to a customer should be fired. I hung up and plan on calling back to speak to someone else that isn’t so combative over a simple return.

Their website says “easy returns “all over it and then when you actually try and return some thing it’s the most difficult process I’ve ever dealt with.
"

Buyer Beware....

"I ordered a wine fridge on 12/28/2020 and it was delivered 2/11/2021. Understood and had no issues with the long wait. BUT...when the fridge was delivered it was damaged. I called Wine Cooler Direct (who is supposedly a subsidiary of Build.com) to let them know it was damaged. they told me that they could not help me that it is now a warranty issue and that I needed to call Living Direct (another subsidiary of Build.com). I called but the recording said they were closed and only open from 10 am to 2 pm CST Monday through Friday. I called back during that time and received a recording that due to COVID they were backed up and to go to their website, then the recording hung up. I went to the LivingDirect.com/service webpage and filled out the online form regarding the damaged fridge. I heard no response after 4 days, so I tried calling but continued to get the same recorded message and then the call would hang up. Tried this for a few more days and then got a response that they were closed for training (Customer Service Training hopefully). Frustrated after a week and a half I called Wine Cooler Direct again. I said what was happening and that I felt like I was being scammed out of $500. After some time on hold Keith said they would send me a replacement Fridge and that they would have UPS come pick up the damaged one at no cost. Then the next day Build.com sends me an email saying the are sending me a replacement part so I could fix the fridge myself.....Seriously? That email should have said they were sorry for the damaged shipment and that a TECH would be scheduled to come out and fix it. When I called Build.com to file a complaint about poor customer service they guy was rude and clearly could care less. Hopefully I will not have issues with the replacement fridge....if a refund with a full return would have been possible I would have taken it. BUYER BEWARE WHEN DEALING WITH BUILD.COM - WINE COOLER DIRECT - LIVING DIRECT. "

"I ordered a wine cooler on 11/27/15. Was told on several occasions that it had shipped and was with FedEx. I finally called FedEx only to be told it had not shipped and only that a label had been printed and no order had been given to pick anything up. I called back to Wine Cooler Direct on 12/10 and was told by Paul that it would be taken care of and he would send me an email. I received nothing, no word from Paul. I called again on 12/14 and was told by Michael that "maybe the label fell off" and they would ship another. Still have not seen anything. I will never buy from this company again. "

"I contacted winecoolerdirect. Com to verify that what there online site was saying about placing an order now it will be shipped the next day. There representative said yes and confirmed it I placed the order Monday at 8:44pm the representative said place it by midnight and it will be processed the same night and shipped the next day wrong! There next day garuntee is bogus and there garuntee that it would be shipped by Christmas is wrong! It won't show up now until Friday the day after. They waited until the next day to process it when I was told differently. There very Un professional as far as customer service goes don't put it online delivered by Christmas or garunteed one day shipping and then have it show up late that's false advertising! "
