Despicable Company

"I received an email that I had left an item in my cart, and I could check out for a reduced shipping cost. When I clicked through the order rang up at the regular shipping price. So I sent them an email explaining what happened no response. A week later the same thing happens, so I send them A message asking to either give me the reduced shipping cost, or take my address off their mailing list. They chose to do the latter! And this is after I have dealt with their parent, plow and hearth, for over 20 years! I subsequently purchase the item at another retailer at a lower price and for a lower shipping cost and they they had promised. "

Great customer service

"I ordered a few things from Wind and weather as gifts. One arrived broken, and when I emailed customer service they immediately issued a refund. Things happen in shipping but they handled this situation exactly as expected with great service."

"i ordered a Decorative stone Rabbit from Amazon but although it was packaged quite nicely it was broken! So after reading the reviews the company seems not to care. Got some where else if you want quality! "

Beware of fraudulent seller

"This company perpetrates fraud by advertising a premium product on the website and sending you a different product of diminished value . Complaint to the seller result in a demand for the differential in price between the lesser product and the one that you actually ordered which they will readily attach to your bill . This is basically the worst type of bait and switch .
You have to send the product back for a refund you do not want to agree to an up charge .

"I have used TWO La Crosse Technology weather stations. BOTH turned out to be of poor quality and go bad after several months including parts being replaced. Since there is only a ONE year warrantee, they are no help to me after the warrantee has expired. I would expect for $150.00 that an item would last longer than 16 months with out failing. I have discussed this with both La Cross technologies AND Wind and Weather."

"I bought an item for a Christmas present. When opened it was broken. Spoke to C.S. on Dec 26, 2014. Was told the refund would be processed and since the item was glass and broken did not need to return.

My payment was through PayPal. After many e-mails telling me my refund was issued it turned out they did not know what they were talking about and just totally lied.

It took getting PayPal involved for me to get my refund. I will never buy from this company again and I suggest you be very careful when dealing with them.

"Do not order from this company. I have waited almost a month to get refunded for two items (one that never even shipped out) and every time I call they say the same thing. That's it's been authorized or whatever, and that they'll see about getting that processed. Then they offer to leave a note on my account requesting that my refund goes through. Was the initial time I called asking for a refund NOT the date that it should have begun getting processed? Like, how many requests does it take? Am I not asking nicely enough, because I've been very patient and calm and not at all lost my temper. "

"Placed an order in Sept 2013. Item finally shipped in Jan 2014. THEN in Sept 2014 I get a dunning notice from a collection agency for an upaid bill. When I called Wind & Weather they said that the PayPal approval I had given in Sept 2013 had expired by the time they shipped so they had not received payment. I had never been contacted by them to tell me there was anything outstanding on my account......just the dunning notice. Terrible way to treat customers."

"Terrible! Placed an order on Feb. 08, 2014. Advised the product was in stock. Feb. 28, 2014 I contacted them asking where my order was. They said they would contact the vendor that day. March 07, 2014 I had yet to hear anything from Wind and Weather. I cancelled the order. Avoid this company unless you really don't care whether or not you may or may not receive your order."

"Wind and Weather's customer service is awful. Looking at the other reviews from years ago, one would think W & W would change their behavior. Not! I was promised a $75 future gift card if I purchased $75 worth of merchandise. I followed the "small print" to the "T". Never received the coupon for future purchase...After completing one survey and sending 5-emails I never heard back. Called customer service and a snarky agent told me that "the notes state you were notified that the $75 future voucher would be sent within 7-10 days...so someone did notify you." I kindly explained that nobody had and reminded her of my several e-mails, survey and phone call and asked her to tell me why, nobody contacted me? Her reply,"I don't work in the e-mail department, so I don't know" (insert raspy laugh here). I didn't think it was funny and told her that nobody had contacted me and I did not care for their customer service. So guess what? It has now been over a month and I never received the promised $75 future voucher. What did I do? I returned the original purchase (which I needed to make in order to get the future voucher) and I contacted my credit card company to dispute. Chargeback? You bet! I will never shop at W & W again."

"It is terrible!
I've tried several valid promo codes - none of them worked.
I checked several times gift wrapping box, and it still didn't work at the end. Also, if you go to your cart, you need to retype e-mail address and entire information regarding credit card details.
I typed gift message and it was not clear did it appear in the order or not.
Lack of goods and all they have are rather pricy.
Do not recommend to use their service to anyone. I used it just because my mother-in-law liked their Garden Sculpture for her Christmas present.

"Customer Service from Wind and Weather is terrible!! I ordered a product for Christmas from their website 4 days prior to their advertised deadline to ensure delivery before the 25th. After several days elapased, I e-mailed their customer service department for a tracking number since I didn't receive one. I did not get a response from them. The package finally arrived 13 days after ordering it. It was shipped from the east coast to the midwest!! Another e-mail asking for an explanation also did not get a response. A call to the customer service department revealed that Wind and Weather did not ship the item until 5 days after it was ordered even though it was in stock. They offered no explanation for the delay nor an apology. They suggested that I should have paid to upgrade the shipping even though the website made no mention of this. The customer service manager also made no attempts to remedy their error. I refuse to patronize a company that provides unacceptable service. I am shipping the product back for a refund. I would encourage others to think twice before ordering from this company. Any issues with your order or product will likely be ignored and never resolved."

"Ordered on Dec 1, 05. Wind & Weather claimed it shipped, but it never arrived at fedex. Customer Support was good once I got through to them, but the phone system would not let me wait on hold, instead it'd send me to an offsite answering service that could only take orders. After getting through, they said they'd ship another, but didn't. After Christmas, I emailed and asked for a refund. They shipped another without notifying me, apparently ignoring my request for a refund."

"Was looking for a somewhat unique Christmas present and found something at this merchant. I'm always leery when there aren't any reviews, but decided to take a chance. Ordered on a Thursday afternoon. Order shipped the following Monday and arrived on Friday with std shipping. Received acknowledgment email immediately and email with tracking info when the item shipped. All in all a good experience. Good company with unique items at good prices."
