From slow to fraud

"Last year, it took months to receive a large shipment of freeze dried mango. They were at least minimally responsive in terms of keeping me updated on the product.

This year, I ordered the same item months ago, and was assured it would ship in 2-3 days. After about 2 weeks, I emailed and got an almost timely response telling me it would ship later that day.

Weeks and months went by, and in between I emailed 4 times and got no response. I tried calling during business hours and left a message once, and other times couldn’t.

The time I called and got a notification that the number had been changed and there was no further info, and got the same response when calling the number of their “sister site,” I decided to call my credit card.

In the end, my credit card provider refunded my money. Never heard back from wildernessdining.com except that one time. Wouldn’t advise doing business with them.

Are they still in business?

"Ordered on April 8, 2017 and haven't gotten a response to either numerous emails or voice mails. In fact I called yesterday and their mail box is full and couldn't leave another message."

I placed an order for cooking ware and have never received the items. no response form the company after multiple emails and phone calls. I am disputing the charges to my card.

No response, no confirmation, no order, is this a legitimate business?

"I ordered on Monday & the website said they would ship on Tuesday & email the shipping confirmation. I received no confirmation. I called on Friday several times & no one picked up the phone. In fact, it clicks as if calls go directly to voicemail. I left two messages. The message at wilderness dining said they would call back immediately. They didn't. I decided to cancel the order & emailed them such. No reply. My credit card was not charged. Yet. Reading other reviews about old stock, I definitely don't want to order from them. Also, they are significantly more expensive than other sites. Terrible company to do business with!"

Not satisfied

"These folks have some good products, but my recent customer satisfaction experience was bad. They never answered their phone, or responded to voicemail messages I left, either to answer my questions about product or, more importantly, to handle my problems with their shipping. They waited way too long to send my main order, and did so only after I emailed asking where it was. I got the stuff (not all of it, by the way; some was omitted without explanation or advance notice) only after I'd left for my trip, so I couldn't use what I bought from them, and had to buy it someplace else. I doubt I'll buy from them again, unless they do something to change my views."

Took my $109 and did not ship

"I have worked with these Wildernessdining.com in the past when they were based in Irvine CA. They shut down that office and work out of their house in Julian CA. I ordered my usual meals 3 weeks before the trip. They state they ship within 6 days and delivery is in 2-4. After 8 days and no shipping email I got nervous. I called for 3 days after that and left message each day. I also emailed. No response. It is day 12, I have contacted my bank to dispute the transaction. Lucky I was able to find someone who could ship to me in time for my trip. Its 3 days before my trip and still no word. Something has gone wrong with this business and I strongly urge you to call first before you hand the pay button. I hope I get my money back some day. Its unfortunate, they had such a good selection. "

"I ordered 3 #10 cans of Mountain House cottage cheese on their website. Being a savy consumer, I stipulated "New Stock Only. No Dented Cans". When the order arrived and was opened I discovered the product was already 5 years old. I immeadiately telephoned the company. I left 5 voice mail messages and sent 2 emails during their published regular business hours. No response. I finally talked to someone and was told that the 5 year old product is the "newest product they have". I was told they would "consider" refunding me if I paid return shipping to them. I flat refused. They sent the 5 year old product in bad faith. They knew I did not want 5 year old product. I have contested the charges with my credit card company. I have informed the company they may have their 5 year old product back if they will send a paid shipping label."

"these folks have some good deals, a number of items unavailable elsewhere, free shipping if you spend $100, good on-line order system, and good email communication if there's a problem; i have placed a number of orders with these folks - and unlike some other on-line vendors, they pack and ship fast!"
