"After browsing and searching online for a particular Emporio Armani watch that I used to own before I left for a tour to Iraq, which got lost by a friend before I returned, I was happy to finally find a few distributors of this specific model. At the time, I trusted that whatever website that google shopping came up with would be reputable and reliable enough that I would not have to worry about the quality of the product. I received the package in the mail today, a box wrapped with the customs documents from Hong Kong, this I do not mind and not all watches are fake from there as stated in a response to a previous comment. After opening my box eagerly I see a deformed, smashed, clumsy black box with a plastic sleeve printed "EMPORIO ARMANI", I thought to myself, "I guess they just dont spend much on presentation anymore, the box I had before was much better quality", and then proceeded to open up the box, in it I found a cheap case and upon opening there was the watch wrapped in some sort of shrink or heat wrap around the full thing, which I did not remember on my first watch either, not saying that they never come like that but just noted.

After spending considerable time removing all this material from the watch, I'm excited to try it on because I have waited so long to replace this watch that I loved so much before my first one got lost. After holding it in my hands, it seemed heavy enough in weight, but something just didnt feel right about it, in closely inspected it and became suspcious of the item I was holding. After noticing a list of things different and wrong with this watch including the rough unfinished inside of the metal watch band, the cheap crooked battery cover on the back of the watch which after pushing my finger into it, realized the Emporio label was just a sticker instead of being printed/etched into the metal, after setting the time and trying to lock the adjustment knob into place that it just kept spinning and spinning and would not secure in place, the fact that there was no warranty cards or care manuals which I know for a fact that should be in the box along with the watch and last after looking into the face of the watch I noticed a bad defect of the 3 O CLOCK position on the face that the 3 lines of the roman numeral III was crooked!!


I decided to bring this watch to a jewelry store and then a jewelry retailer to ask their opinion, since even though I was very sure that this watch I was holding was not authentic, I wanted to make certain, both places told me that this was not a real Emporio Armani watch and I should have known better then to trust an online retailer offering "competitive prices" lower then the others. You get what you pay for, more or less, in this case much less in my opinion.

I am writing this review based on my experiences, if the marketing manager believes me to be incompetent or lying, that is his opinion but being in the military I am very intent on details and these are my observations. I have emailed the company to request a replacement authentic watch or a full refund, also I do believe various good online retailers even on ebay are known to fully refund the re-shipping fee when an item is not meeting expectations, not that I expect that from them but it would be nice after all this trouble and money that I wasted.

"STAY AWAY THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!!
I bought a watch from their website back in August. When I received I was unhappy with the watch (sent directly from Hong-Kong) - I thought the watch was a fake. They "authorized" me to send it back to an individual in New-Jersey (weird) for which I just the return receipt from the post office. I am still waiing for the company to refund the 437USD they owe me. They do not reply to my emails and they have a phone number in NY but no-one ever replied to me. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY!"
